Thursday, July 3rd, 2008 At first light I counted 115 bikes outside the host hotel.   But there were a lot more by 11:00 when everyone gathered for the group ride to East Troy.         At the Buell plant...food, seminars, factory tours, and friends. Talking to many of the factory workers is always a great part of Homecoming.                      Court and Dave were signing copies of their book...great book!!!  And of course Erik was out there (for several hours) signing books, posters, and many disassembled motorcycle part!  The Thursday night dinner with Erik was excellent...more up scale than the normal Brats and Burgers...but still very down to earth. In fact, there were Buell employees at each table for great conversation, the slide show of Buell's history is always impressive, and the Q&A was a great time.      The night was capped off with some rock’n by Erik and Thunderbolts.   | ||

did you happen to take any more pics of the parts nurse. it would be pretty nice to see the whole set if you have any of them availabe. and your son did the paint on them. | ||

I have close up shots of the paint set. It is hands down as Pro as it can get. I am so proud of my Son. He worked his tail off for close to 65 hours on it. I'll post pics later. It is his first as far as motorcycles and he was taught by in my opinion one of the best. | ||

Josh, you're right. Ya see when you have such a soft spot for the air-cooled Buells those liquid cooled hypersports just don't cut it.(til they come by me at 100mph on the back wheel!) I'm just jonesing for Homecoming sneak peeks and fearful of a Helicon powered Uly. NUTS | ||

Thanks guys,I'll be sure to show him your responses to the work. Brian, My bike won't ever be repainted. It is just how I want it. My Son has the talent No Doubt. What he needed for this paint job was idea's. I gave him my input along with some from my Buddy Will (the instructor) and he went with it. | ||

Man.. This is rough.. I don't know what to do about the really small sizes.. not sure how to cure that.. since I'm still in the host hotel and only have my Aperture with me and to bring it down to size, I've got to keep shrinking the images down.. Hmmmmm.. I'll look into it and see what I can do about finding another route to go.. | ||
