Weather is calling for a low of 32 degrees tonite with a chance of frost. Have fun freezing your asses off. Once that sun drops its going to be brutal. Riding from K-town or Racine is one thing, but coming from Franklin is going to be miserable.

Lectrics are great. If you dont have em tho its a bitch in the cold weather. I have done my share of riding in 20-30 deg weather & I prefer the car. I dont have anything to prove by freezing my ass off & the older I get the more I prefer warmth & comfort.

Getting sick & being miserable aint worth it.

Now if you have a Wing or a nice BMW with heated seat & grips & a comfy windshield...then bring on the cold cause you will never feel it.

OK,

I just gotta throw in a dig here!!!!As I have been getting e-mails from my US friends in Michigan wondering if I got any SNOW yet. HELL NO.

The past two weeks here in SUNNY Newfoundland the weather has not dropped below 60 degrees and has been as high as 75. Even today it was 23 celsius or roughly 76 fahrenheit. Even now as I sit next to the OPEN window in the house its about 60ish.

Dyna,

A guy riding that kinda cold weather for very long a time will eventually develop a "Mangina" in a very short period of time.

Once you got to where your going you'd have to hold your nose and blow real hard to get it to pop out just to pee!!!!!! Please don't ask how I know these things - I am just a smart guy!!!

Damm Beautiful Riding weather here though.

I have been on the bike all week and then when there is a threat of rain the new toy comes out with the top down. Damm I love that car everyone should own at least one convertible!!!! Did I mention I absolutely love the Car!!!!!

CJ come on over for a while to break in that new XB9s, I'll show ya some roads and scenery you will never forget. Thats a promise!!!

Bring the gang with ya too if ya want and even Dyna!!!!!

Now when the weather get cool like you guys are currently experiencing I will break out the heated vest and be forced to turn on the grips as well. That way I get about another month of riding.

Take care folks and make sure you heat them tires up good before attempting any crazy turns!!!!!You don't want to run out of Talent!!!

Personally I am gonna ride right up to when the snow falls!!!!

I am out of here

Oh yeah Congrats to Jason & Heather too.

Your Friendly Newfie (Unarmed American with Healthcare) way over here in Canada

Now if only I lived in Ontario!!!!!!

Damm Beautiful Riding weather here though.

Oh great, you took all the 20th warm weather up there with you !!

I'll show ya some roads and scenery you will never forget.

As tempting as that sounds now that winter is here in Wisconsin, I'm afraid you'd get me lost and snowed in up there all winter !!

And anyway if I bring Dyna with, he'd be riding bitch and that's a LONG ride !!

CJ XB

Ontario would cause you to get into trouble!

Newfie, the coldest I have ever ridden was 7 degrees farenheit...& it was miserable. New years day for a polar ride down to the lake. Never ever going to do that again. I refused to turn the bike off for fear it wouldnt start again.

Dana,
By the way the weather is here I don't know if we are gonna get winter - I am really gonna regret saying that one.

It would only take three days to get here as well and if anyone wanted to come here I'd certainly meet them where ever they landed on the island and give the same hospitality I experienced while in the US this past August.

Back in 1995, 1996 & 1997 our winters were quite mild, my son Connor was born in Feburary 1996 and I remember on the day we brought him home form the hospital it was about 60degrees. That was the end of February 1996. In 1998 we must have pissed off the weather Gods as we got Dumped Heavily and about 3 years ago it started to snow in Late December and never let up till the end of March. I mean dumped every day we got a pile of snow and there was no break in between for the damm stuff to melt a little before the next one. That year we accumulated 651cm of snow on the ground or roughly 260inches = 21.7 feet of snow. In the back yard the kids could walk onto the roof of the first story of the house. That was the year I had to buy a new snowblower as the old one wore out. Funny thing the Snowman on the lawn the kids made used to smile every time I'd go by with the snowblower. hehehehe

For now I am enjoying the mild weather. Even this morning its about 65 or so and will be going to 70ish by mid day. I can't beleieve that even the evenings are still mild 60ish.

As for cold weather our temperatures usually hover around zero degrees from December to March just enough to make the winter miserable as its slushy under foot.

CJ,
If you did come up here what would you get up to (do) all winter snowed in somewhere in Newfoundland ?!? Newfies are used to the cold weather - winter activities are fun here!!!!

That would be too funny Dyna riding bitch all the way to Newfoundland. He'd have to hold on tight though or you could just wheelie the damm thing and throw him somewhere in Quebec!!!!!Now wouldn't that be a fish out of water!!Watch the pipes in Quebec as the cops don't have an appreciation for loud pipes.

When I had the KLR 650 urban assault bike I used to keep it out all year round and rode it numerous times in the winter, just throw a snowsuit on and go, real bitch to get unstuck from snow banks when it would break through the hard crust on top though. Bit squirrely in the corners too!!

I think I have a trip to Ontario in the fall sometime in Late November/Early December and to date Ontario has been pretty tame to me!! I wonder what kind of trouble your talking about, girl. Gotta keep out of downtown Toronto cause certain parts of it smells like ass - and not the kind of ass that smells good.

Here is a link that you all should have a look at, this past week a hurricane hit Halifax, Nova Scotia and someone posted pictures. There is one of a sail boat tied up to a warf - all you can see are the masts sticking out of the water.

Halifax Hurricane Pictures

You think your weather is bad until!!!!!

I must now go back to work - my regularly scheduled broadcast

Did I mention I am going riding this afternoon in the WARM, MILD WEATHER.

Ukers . . . .Slimey Crud kicks off from Pine Bluff Wisconsin . . .. take Rt 12 around Madtown, it curse up to the north west of town . . . exit Mineral Point Road, a.k.a. County S . . . . Pine Bluff is the intersection of County S and County P, about 7 miles west of Rt 12 . . . . Suggest you gas up at the exit off 12 (there's a gas station just east of 12 at the exit), as you may put as many as 80/90 mikes on the scoots before seeing another station (depending on the route taken out into the Tulies) . . .. .

My plans are iff at this point, with the forecast read High/Low of 51/27 degrees F . . . . .
