That sucks I liked 1125R on the track better than on the road and then again I love the old v-twin thunder storm engines! I got to bring my X1 in for a diagnostic it started acting up running rough and blowing some smoke out on Tue. K | ||

Ratbuell, if you wouldn't mind, could you check to see if either of your dealerships has a kickstand pivot bolt for my '04 Lightning? This will be my 3rd bolt. The first 2 where the original style, I thought I read somewhere that there is a redesigned bolt out now. Fortunately it has always failed while I was still on the bike and I haven't dropped it. | ||

Toona - the bolt is no longer available seperately. It is now a "kit", L1167.02A8 for the non-Uly, non-Low XBs. Looks to be a new pin, E-clip, and sidestand assembly, retail $64. Backorder to 6/27. Liberty in NJ shows one on locator; there's one showing in NoVa, but none in MD or PA. Sorry! I'd be happy to put one on order for you if you like, just LMK. | ||

Cindy, I'm up for something. I just got the bike operational again after 3 weeks of down time for some mods. All prep work for the much anticipated ride to the 25th Anniversary event! I'm planning on heading out to HDoF to pick up some clothing and to test ride the bike with the newly installed saddle bags (loaded) for a dry run. I have a few things I need to juggle this weekend so give me a call and we can work something out 410-336-2522. | ||

I have to go to the Frederick dealer as well. I ordered new saddle bags and I assume they will be in by Saturday. Did you want to meet somewhere and ride out together? Also, Ras said he wanted to go for a spin. Im jealous. I wanna go to the the 25th! Maybe I should take off......  | ||

Saturday should work. It will probably have to be a fairly shorty ride for me though. I'll know more later in the week. You should take off work and join Pellis and I. Spops had a ticket up for grabs. | ||

Robin and I are sitting on our hands.. waiting for 'good word' from Frederick.. I'd love to be going up there Saturday to pick up the bikes.. (see Tale Section for 'my VIRsion of ..' .. We really don't want to attend the event with a truck.. only.. So I'm thinking I may or may not be able to ride this weekend.. Trying to be patient and wait for Mike and Chuck to call with good news.. | ||

Cindy - if you are going but not sure about riding, we're (unfortunately...) taking the truck with my S2 in the bed. Happy to take a bike, or any luggage that doesn't want to fit on a bike, out for folks. I'll probably also have a small stash of roadside tools... Tony - I'm guessing you got the call that the dry release tee is FINALLY in. Got mine the other day, it's nice. Blu...I can always loan you a Uly for the 25th...with it's new-sed Drummer it actually sounds like a bike now, lol. Just no track day...I've seen what you do to bikes  | ||

As for what I do to bikes.. Uh.. I'm not the only one.. and I promise, no full on track exercises while on your bike (if I'm riding it) .. damn, blublak, just ready your story. sorry to hear man, but it will be back, and im sure in full force. just sold the XB9SX guys, it went to a good home to a guy in richmond. ive been really busy recently, has any one been riding? i wont be able to make it to 25th either, if any one wants a ticket (sure it will show up soon) let me know. also, great news blublak, just picked up two bikes!!!! 84 VF700F(parts) and 85 VF500F (monas finally riding!!!!!) her bike is sweet. still parking lots and all but shes coming along wonderfully. oh and i got both bikes (running) for 700 bucks. craigs list is the way to go. well i hope all of you have a good time at the 25th, and if any one still wants to ride when they get back, POST YOUR RIDES!!!! | ||

I will be leaving 2nd July but thought about stopping the night in Elkhart. I wondered if I should just try to drive the whole distance in one day. Like wise, cycle in the back of the truck. Ratbuell... are you heading out PA tpk/ OH tpk and around Chicago? | ||

She printed it out and I glanced at it (it's the backup to the GPS) - looks like we're headed thru Chicago and up from there. Whichever way Google said was "shortest/quickest". S2 is loaded (I *hate* seeing my bike in a truck...<sigh> , 70psi in the 10 ply truck tires, trying to get every last mile out of each gal. of diesel We shall see in the AM, I suppose. | ||

I am sorry to report that as of July 31st, 2008 Ft Washington Harley Davidson will no longer sell or service Buell motorcycles. They will be liquidating their remaining stock of Buells at$1000 below their cost. Parts will also be discounted. Bikes sold before August 1st will carry the full factory warranty. Any bikes sold after that will be "used". So for Southern MD/Northern VA Buellers your closest dealers are Old Glory in Laurel, MD and East Coast HD in Dumfries, VA.
