There is a ride planned for Sunday August 17th. There are about 12 riders and counting so far.
We will be meeting in East Petersburg at 10:00am at the WaWA on RT 72. From there we are headed north to do some carving in the mountains. I've been getting GREAT feedback from other riders who have ventured through that territory before. LOTS of twisties and a few 180 hairpins

If you want a map or wanna try to meet-up somewhere North of Lancaster/Lebanon just let me know.

Jed,

Got my work schedule worked out. Drew the late shift and have every other monday off. Real nice to have some roads that are not flat and straight.

question for ya, any clue on the owner of the yellow S2 I saw sitting in Jonestown the other week?

As for the 17th I think I can work that one into the mix.

If it's the one I'm thinking of the guys name is Brian.... hmmm sounds familiar..... not sure though. The 17th is turning out to be pretty big. There are now about 20 riders. Groups are coming up from Maryland, DE and even a few from NJ. Probably only 2-3 BUELLS. Should be about a 3hour ride. I can't wait. Some of these dudes are nutz. Last time I went riding with em a bird flew into my air intake at about 120. Scared the piss outta me! No damage luckily, but one hell of a mess.

Can't be too familar,
he spells it wrong

Only a three hour ride! My riding buddy back in michigan liked to do the all day thing..... On the M2 I would come back totally whipped. The S1 he could never figure out how I could do it.

later,

Bry

That doesn't include the meeting, waiting, riding, stopping for lost riders, riding, stopping for gas, riding....... you get the point.
Put it this way, my ass is gonna hurt....luckily for you, aftermarket seats are available....

Stopped by White's this morning. Some nice personable folks in there. See how long it takes to get the XB parts for my rocker boxes.

Saw the Yellow S2 again today, to bad I was in the truck.....

I found the magic secret for the S1 seat. Wear sport boxers under the leathers. Something about seams and seat edges. That and get off the girl and stretch every hundred miles. Which puts it a tank reload time also. I really need to get my fat tank painted. Looking forward to next weekend.

Me and the guy that put this thing together took a ride this Sun to check out the planned route. There were a few wash-outs on the roads from the heavy rain and two downed trees. Other than that, the roads are great. Lots of twisties! should be fun. We are gonna meet at 9:00am to ride south to the first meeting spot. The other guy lives two blocks from the store at the corner of Jay St. (Long's) So we can maybe meet there? There are 6 - 8 of us riding from Lebanon to the first meet spot. We are gonna stop along the way and meet a group coming in from Philly and NJ at the Turnpike Intersection. So we'll already have 10 - 12 bikes. Going to be interesting.........

Sorry about sleeping in......Sounds good though. Is Longs the joint on old jonestown and jay? What time do you normally leave the office? Been looking to stop by and chat some.

Went out sunday myself. Went up 72 and out 443(?) and hooked a right about a mile out. A full set of corners going up, down, back up and back down. It dumped out on 225(?).

Yeah Long's is the place (little tiny store) at the corner of Jay and Sandhill Rd....(old Jonestown Rd.) It's about two blocks from your place....walk out your door and hang a left.
I get outta here around 5:00. There are some great roads out that way. Just take roads that lead to the mountain range past Rt 81. That's when the roads get fun.... Stop by, I'm usually here...or call the office first 273-2585...your a tenant so it's legit right?

All I can say is you ROCK! Thank you so much for your help yesterday. I owe you big time. Looks like the bike will be picked up Wed and they have my tire in stock so hopefully I can be back on the road by the weekend. They even quoted me a price less than I could find elsewhere. The place you referred me to didn't have the make/size to replace O.E. I figured since there were so few miles on the front, I'll stick with the same until I need a new "set"

62 miles each way, no wonder it took us as long as it did......Hey by the way what else can I do with this big flippin trailer? I have used it as a garage already. Used it to move twice. Now to recover a downed ride. A true multi-use device.

Thanks for letting me meet the family. Anytime you want to ride let me know. We can go and hoist a brew or two some weekend....

Jed,

Got all my parts in the other day from Whites. So I start the oil leak repair on thurs afternoon. I started with the rear rockerbox. With it tore down find that the two piece gasket set was totally trashed. Clean it all up and put on the new steel i piece gasket. Being all nice and careful, got the torque wrench and all. Now I find out that one hole in the head is stripped! Previous owner had it in to a butcher for a gasket change. I know the butcher shop he had it at also. Finish putting it together and start the front. No stripped holes here, just chewed up on the inside left front corner. Well anyway I am now in the market for a set of T-Storm heads and pistons. It was my winter project, just might need to move it up a month or so. It is all back together and runs without any abnormal noise. Save for letting it huff out the new rockerbox venting of the XB box covers.

Going to Whites today to check out the B-Trax and try it out on the S1 for the first time. Done several with the missing M2 and have always had fun. A good test of just how good one thinks they are....

Later,
Bry

Oh, there's the post you were talking about......
I called ya yesterday to see if you wanted to go for a ride. I figured you were already out. Anyway, we found some AWESOME roads. Just one twisty after another for like 30 miles....and they all have 15 - 20 mph signs so they are the real twisties...... tire is all scrubbed in now

Anybody in the South Central area up for riding? I need to meet people who want to ride even if it's not 80 degrees with a clear blue sky.

Have Buell, will travel.
