I was afraid that that would happen. Oak Ridge has been having the same kind of difficulties that we have had in Rockbridge County with the county supervisors. The owners have 5000 acres of land that they're not allowed to do anything with: horse racing, bike racing, NASCAR, rock concerts, festivals, you name it...

Jose,
Post your plans so we can hook up. I will be bringing at least three people with me from down here and three or four more from your area. We are going to camp across from the track once the race is over. We plan on setting up early and drinking a few beers. Do you still have my mobile number?? If not ping me.

Steve,

I'm not sure what you're trying to do there...
Jose, if you decide to ride to Hagerstown and want to ride up together, post it here or yahoo

Ok, not sure what it's going to do Sunday.. But, if it's raining, since some of these roads for 'my' ride are country/mountain types and may not be the best to take on during storm conditions..

Just to let those that were gonna meet up know.. It's gonna be a close call so I don't know if I'm going.. We'll have to see..

Well.. as most of you should know by now. Sunday was a GREAT day for a ride. Ended up loosing all by two of the other bikes that showed up.. An R6 and a Katana stuck with me for the whole ride.

Hehehehehehehe... Took them into the back roads and twistes.. and ended up having to wait for them a little bit here and a little bit there.. MAN WHAT A RUSH!! I love my Buell and I can't wait to put a few more miles on it..

Only saw one other Buell the whole day and I'm not sure he realized I was on an XB since the Suzi and the Yammy were blocking (we were in a parking lot getting ready to continue our ride)..

Well, until the next time..

Later.

Location & Directions to Summit Point

HD/Buell of Frederick will have their Hospitality Tent there with food ($) and other goodies.

I will have some "complementary" food tickets to give away, so come on the ride with us to get one....

 Johnnie on Speed

Was looking for José on the tape (you know, walkin' around the pits) , but found Johnnie.

Brian Drebber had a nice comment: "There's a different way to get yourself around a race track. We applaud anyone with an innovative mind like that."

Way to go Johnnie!

I think we were in the car staying dry at that precise moment! He rode right by us. We hung out together and watched the races on Saturday and got rained on that night at the Supermoto race.

If anyone is in the area of Hampstead,Maryland on Saturday September 6th you might want to consider this charity ride for Maggie Piet, a fourteen year girl that was in a terrible accident and needs constant medical attention.:

Motorcycle ride to benefit girl planned for Sept. 6

The Maggie Piet Charity Fund will hold a benefit motorcycle ride Sept. 6 to raise money to make the Piet family home in Hampstead handicapped accessible.

Maggie Piet, 14, was in a car accident in January that left her in a wheelchair and unable to care for herself.

Entry fee is $25 for bike riders and $15 for passengers. Prizes will be awarded and raffles held. Rain date will be Sept. 20.

Motorcycle riders are urged to register by Saturday. Checks may be sent to Maggie Piet Charity Fund, 4509 Whetstone Court, Hampstead 21074.

I've never had much success with this forum but I am trying again. I'm still having trouble using my original "buellboy624" so for now, I'm using my alter-ego. I sent an email to Speed to let Brian Drebber know who the "innovative mind" was behind the trike. They replied and said they would pass it on to him.

Hey Guys and Gals.. There's a poker run on Oct. 4th.. Starts in Leesburg, then runs some nice roads before coming back for prizes and such. I did the route plot, so you know there are some nice roads. Then, you'll have a 50/50, some door prizes and the poker money. What do you say, anyone interested? A full day of riding? Fun. Etc.?

Lemmie know.. I'll post more info here in a little while.
