Don't you know this is where the sky meets the sea!!!
I am the first one on the continent to witness the sun rising from the deep blue cold Atlantic Ocean in the morning!!!!
Come on over, I'll show you what its like to live!!!
I was out riding last night near the coast on a road that follows the coastline and I was over running the headlight at 80kph (50mph) as the road was twisting so much the headlight could not focus the beam on the road.
But where the moon was out and reflecting off the ocean it was actually giving a fair bit of light to the road.
Damm I love the roads around here. |

I threw it past the wife again last night that I wanted to go next summer. I also ordered a tourism package just to stoke the fire.
Hey I saw that there are fijords there. Are they on the island? My map doesn't show much about Newfoundland on the mainland. Since we probably won't go to Norway anytime soon, this way we can go to where we speak the same language (I think). |

Well, I threw the idea of the August ride past the wife, I think she killed it. My fault tho. She's pregnant (again) and we are expecting the beginning of May. (I know its three months after that, but she IS the boss) I may have to wait until beginning of July to get the go-ahead, we'll see.

Can we plan the Newfoundland trip to coincide with Dildo Days?

But the first week of August is the time the Beer Swilling activity on George St occurrs. By the way St. John's has the most bars per capita over any city in North America.
This could be a real fun time. |

I just got an idea on a way to add a little something to the Rally. (No, it's not drain plugs) I'll have to do some investigation, but I think everybody will enjoy it. I really am into this; it's going to be a lot of fun!

Last time he got excited we got drain plugs and they got tattoos.
Hey Guys I can line up a Tattoo Guys here and you can get one the shape of the island. I may even join you on that one.

OK. So I put my foot down and told the wife, dammitall i'm goin riding for a week-and-a-half next summer. She got upset, of course, and said it wasn't fair....blah....blah....blah. I told her it wasn't fair for her to expect me to own such a beautiful machine and never use it. She says "you use it everyday". I tell her riding it to work and back is not using it, its just a reminder that I need to really take it for a ride. So, count me in! Only one other problem....I need to find out how much of a trade in I can get for it.....that new xb12 is realy starting to grow on me....both my comps have a black 12r for backgrounds.....anyone know somebody lookin for a 100 rwhp '01 S3 with less than 10k miles on it?......gonna be a damn long winter... |
