Thanks Bart I appreciate the offer. FOund this:

Let me know what you think.

Buells are hard to sell because they're different. With the import bikes you get alot for your money. Don't get me wrong buells do have alot to offer. The following behind the buell is not as big so people go with what they know and see.

Battery and Buell Parts/Extended Warranty repairs:

I'm new to the Buell gig but I go to No Rulz Customs in Chandler for my extended warr. repairs... They are one of the few shops in town outside of the dealers that are authorized to do CNA Warr. claims. Buzz is a great guy I've done paint work for him for years and when I got the buell he really helped me get parts that the Dealers had a hard time getting me.

Buzz is a Vrod nut, but he worked at the HD Proving grounds for years prior to opening No Rulz... while he is a friend, all of his customers look at him as family...check the Vrod forums and you'll find people praising him...

So if youre looking for HD or Buell parts look him up or call the his shop at

Hey Guys,
John from St. Louis here. I am going to do a ride starting May 3rd.I will be traveling alone. One of the roads I want to ride is Devils Highway (666/191)down there in the White Mountians of eastern Arizona. I have a few days to do what I want and am looking for suggestions on other roads to ride or places that are a must see, in the Arizona, New Mexico area.
Thanks,
John

John,
are ya riding out here? or trucking your bike?
If you want an interesting ride in New Mexico, do the enchanted circle.
It's from Taos, red river, eagle nest, and back up to Taos. Some beautiful country, and some great curves.
In Albuquerque area, do the Sandia crest road on a weekday, it's awesome.
In AZ, Hwy 191 is truly a wonderful piece of roadway, another would be the salt river canyon, and then the spars over south of Prescott.
Keep in touch, and maybe a few of us can come out and meet you for the ride...

That's one of them. The other Grand Canyon HD is the one on I40 W of Flag. I think the one in flag had an XT. Or it was an '08 Uly. I'm pretty sure it was the XT though. The Mayer store (the one on 69 between Prescott and 17) had a Ulysses.

Don't forget Sedona and Oak creek canyon. Just try to do it during the week, traffic on the week-end is a killer.
If you think you are going to be in the southern part of the state, I can point you to some other spots.

Im riding. I need to make a stop in Texas on the way out, to see a nephew thats having some tough times. He lost his mother, father and wife recently.
Then Im riding on to Arizona. I was born in Safford but moved soon afterwards and have never been in the State since. I figured this would be a good time to tour the area, before it gets too hot in the desert areas. Im not riding to a schedule of any kind. Just taking a few days off to go riding.
Thanks for the suggestions and maybe I will run into you while there. I dont carry a cell phone, but will check this site if the motels I stay at have internet access.

If you are going to be near Safford, the road up Mt.Graham is intense.

Bart,
Yeah, I rode it Sunday over to the AHDRA races in Illinois. Its a strange thing we do. I bought the bike with some damage from a slow speed tip over. I spent time locating a front fairing in the correct color and replaced several stock items with hi-po items so I had it just as I like it, and now I going to sell it. Go figure.I put it on here hoping to find someone that wont part it out. If it sells, it sells, if not thats ok too. I enjoy riding it in the twisty stuff, but prefer my FJR for the long distance rides.

Debbie and I are going.
We're leaving Sunday the 29th of June and taking our time up through Colorado, and Wyoming.
On our way back we're shooting down to Tennesee, and the Smokey Mts, to savor the Dragon...

Bart,
Are you in Az or NM now? I just found some new, never run, lower fairings for the S2T in the Parkway Blue. One of mine had a small scratch and trying to paint to match is a bitch. I guess I will continue to ride it. Its cooler than the FJR in the summer anyhow. Im packed and ready for Saturday morning to get here so I can get on the road.
If you decide to go thru Missouri after visiting that Dragon, be sure to let me know, I can show you our best roads here.

John,
I'm in Arizona most of the time now. Ping me if you think you'll be anywhere near Phoenix... I'm usually off Friday, Sat, and Sundays.
I'll for sure ping ya when we get ready to head back. Been through Missour a few times, would enjoy a few personal tours.
Enjoy your trip, ride safe, and keep smiling... : )

Nothing much. Just want to get a few pointers on it. I don't know a whole lot about the buells and would love to talk to someone that does. Things that will make it better and run cooler. I live in the Avondale area if sometime we could meet up or something. I'm going to order my gel batt and start it up after about a year plus of just sitting. After my neighbor dropped it on my trailer I just got totally bummed out about it and let it sit. Its not that bad. I'll have to repaint though.

Well you can go here to find out most anything about the S2 models:
http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/316999.html?1209909090

If it's been sitting any length of time, you may need to go through your fuel system as gas tends to turn into varnish through time.
Avondales not far, i'm up in Glendale, keep me informed about your progress bringing your bike to life, I'll help any way I can.
Good luck!

B

Hey Brian,
Did you ever get one of those Hydro-bags that Buell was giving away? If not, I've got one for ya... ; )

Wyckyd,
I've found a new Honda ignition, with about 4 keys, and I think I've found a spare key for your seat. Give me a holler if ya want to get together.

I'm kicking around the idea of having either a late Springfast, or a first time Summerfast ride in the end of May or begining of June.
How many people would be interested in doing Yarnell, the spars, hwy260 to springerville one day, and hwy191 and US 60 home the next???

Bart, I'll probably do one leg of the trip if not both. I don't have any other plans so far for the next three months. I rode up to prescott Sunday at noon and got the slow down signal from the Yarnell cop at the top of the first hill, then he followed me from about a half mile back all the way through the curves. Saw Don and he said he would be interested in a ride again. Anyone else interested in a two day ride?

Bart I'll see you this Saturday around 3pm if you're available. Im going to do some tractor trailer practice driving in the morning. Need to get my CDL for work.
