The 'Green Mountain Ride' is a ride to benefit the Norris Cotton Cancer center in New Hampshire that is starting this year in West Lebanon and going through southern New Hampshire. The ride was started by my coworker and his brother, and is in it's 5th year. Last two years had about 30 bikes each year and raised close to $40k total. There is also a raffle for prizes that include two plasma cutters and other goodies from vendors in the area. Tickets you sell will count towards your donation.

The nice thing about the money raised is that Norris Cotton can use it as they wish- there are no stipulations as there would be if it were a grant. This allows them to fund smaller projects that may not qualify for government funding.

Anyone interested if I start a NEBO team? Here's the website link, or do a search for it by name.

You can count me in.

Do we need to contribute or have people sponsor us?

I'd be interested depending on the cost and what my schedule looks like as it approaches.
Kids come 1st, then work, then motorcycling....(someday I'll get my priorities right)

I've got another Bueller from Burlington who will probably ride.

Jim- Mighty fine lookin' XB you got there! The donation is $150 but any raffle tickets you sell count towards it. They usually have 2 plasma cutters, a welder and a bunch of other goodies for the raffle. They also have an email thing set up so all you have to do is enter peoples email addresses and the system sends donation requests to them. Sponsors can log in to the site and donate under your name and charge it to their credit card. That's how I got almost all of my donations when I did the ride in '06. The rest came from raffle ticket sales. It's amazing how many people want to try to win a plasma cutter!
