Well I just placed an order for all my parts through Latus. Should have it within 5-7 business days. I bought XB9 painted cover to go on my Xb12. should fit better with my color scheme.

I was just at Latus this morning, for 5K service, and I just wanted to mention how helpful service writers Karyn Moore and Jay were to me. These guys do get a commission, so great customer service deserves reward!

I Am apparently one of the very first to buy boots from a new line Latus is carrying, Ridge Boots.

They claim to be waterproof, and bloodborne pathogen resistant, (in case I step on a pile of corpses I guess) so I'll keep you posted as to how they hold up.

Nice looking boots. Good for riding and random Mosh pits.

How did the peg work out and your machining idea for the shifter?

I just put an order in for all new stuff, so if you can use it go ahead and keep it.

I got the new peg today, and the shifter worked fine, I had to machine 3 bearings (2 L-shaped nylon & 1 steel) for it, but the drill& tap of the shift arm went well. I'll probably do yours this weekend. I'll give you back yours for track day emergencies Thanks for your help.

BTW, If anyone still has the wireform holding the clutch cable in front of the front exhaust pipe, you may want to check it occasionally. if it breaks (mine did) your clutch cable will melt. Latus will (I believe) replace the whole cable under warranty.

Picked up my hydration pack today. Got to say the 12XT is comfortable. I wanted to ride the 12X but they were all out.

One thing I noticed is that he 08 does not have that instant power on as the 06. Maybe its the Drummer. Something is different or maybe just playing with my head.

Mine was the same was at 1st i just hit 1000 miles and it is hard to hold the thing back. You can do a throttle switch reset with out the magic box and hold it in 4 gear for 5 min at 50 mph and it will do a set on the adpt. fuel adj.the new comp. is neat. Talked to the powers to be at latus yesterday and stirred up some people about the hyd. packs told them we were having to go to paradise to get what they should have. Time will tell

I can see myself owning one of these within the next 2 years. I really like the upright seating position and can see doing some 400 mile days.

When I test rode the 1125R I was on it for an hour and I had a hard time getting fully upright after getting off. So a full out sport bike is not in my future.

Ok it's official.
I will be moving to Portland on May 5th.
Got a downtown apartment until the house in Salt Lake City sells and will be without the Buell for a month or two.

I hope to meet all of you PBR Badwebbers!

I've got a 6 month lease on a downtown apartment (Harrison), I figure it will take about that long for my wife to sell the house in Salt Lake City. But I could be wrong.

I like the Washington county taxes better than Portland proper taxes.

Black. Menacing.

Seems my XB came with the black motor covers, but no enough displacement. Have to fix that problem sometime...

Dbird,
Downtown is more fun! You'll like the Harrison. Look forward to meeting you.

Sweed,
Looks good! And it's not dripping oil like it was last time I saw it!

I'm back for Mexico and in TX. 9 dives in three days, One wreck (Penetration) and the rest were coral reefs. Had a great time! I'll post some pics soon...

Aron,

Do you have the part# for that black cover or is it safe enough to just walk in and order a cover for a 9? How much was it by the way, approx.?

Did you try painting the other side yet?

It is safe enough to just go in and ask for the painted primary cover for the 07 XB12. The casting numbers were the same on both my stock 06 gold cover and the new black cover.

You will need to ask for the seal that goes over the shifter shaft as well. I forgot to order mine but was lucky enough to pry my old one out without damage and no leaks so far.

No I have not painted yet. Maybe in a week or so I will take a look at it.

I have been riding it all week to see if I can iron out any other issues with my map.

Light was a little low. these were shot on a handheld digital in a dive case. Pretty good for what it was.

Stopped by Cycle Gear by my shop yesterday. Seems they are having a one day sale May 17th. 20% off helmets, 10% off all instore and $169.00 for a set of Pirelli Diablo tires. These are the same tires that come stock on the XB I believe. Both 180 and 190 rear will be available. Sale isn't limited to Vancouver store either so if anyone has one nearby they should find the same thing going on there. I was thinking of getting a new helmet this season and if I get one of the helmets I'm looking at, this would save me over $100! There might have been a couple other deals on the flyer they gave me, but I think my son turned it into a doodle pad last night so I'm not sure where it is. Anyway, just thought I would share in case anyone was looking for tires or a helmet. This seems like a pretty good deal for at least those two items.

Well a co-worker of mine is down at Latus today in the process of possibly purchasing a 07 Uylysses with only 7 miles based on my recommendation.

I cant wait to ride it. He won't have his license until June so I will be riding it home for him.

We may have a new PBR if it all works out.
