Hello? Is anybody awake in here? Is this Sunday a FIRST Sunday? How come I hear from a SLABer in the KCMob section that there is a cool event in our region. WAKE UP GIRLS! Now where is this British event? See ya'll Sunday AM at the starting point. I'll be at Earl Smalls Saturday AM attempting to get a XB12 demo ride while my bike is having recall surgery. If they don't see it my way I'm off to Stone Mountain. Hell I may just do 2 demo rides. | ||

Oops, I'm out for Sunday. My S1 became a 'project bike' today and is in my basement awaiting disassembly and repairs.  Of course first I need to find a source of $$$. Mike; Did BobBag call you today? He requests that you hold departure until 9:30 am so he can join you. Family matters preclude his arriving at the departure point until then. | ||

I took it in for the shock/muffler mount/flasher recalls, and they found broken exhaust studs on BOTH heads necessitating their removal. Exhaust header moving around caused it to break. This must have happened literally on the way to the shop because I was in there polishing last week and all was intact. So as a minimum I need a new exhaust system, and while the heads are off it seems I should do SOMETHING, I wouldn't want to take a motor down that has 30K miles and slap it back together. So do I put on a 1250 kit? Stage 3? Gonna sit here and develop a plan since there is no money flowing in right now. That red XB12R sure looks tempting. Maybe I can get enough from the S1 for a downpayment? But first I have to pay next months mortgage so the future is cloudy. I was talking about you today, a guy at the dealer is in a desperate search for an XR-1000. That reminded me of your recent sale. | ||

Yeah I can understand your head logic.  I know what ya mean about the XB12S...it's calling to me to come ride as well. A dealership here sold theirs the 1st day on the floor. The XR1000 was a cool Harley. If you find anyone that desperately wants a silver/nuke S1W or desperately needs an '02 Tiger send 'em my way. I like desperate buyers. DAve | ||

Todd aside from a new frame, the Banke shifter assembly, the Storz dampener and the CRG levers; the bike is fine. It is going in the basement for permanent retirement. | ||

Do you guys still get together on the first Sunday of the month at the QT on exit #11? I live off of 92 near 575 and would love to ride with some other Buellers, although 9 is a little early for me usually, but I'll swing it for a good ride. I've been looking around the net since I bought my XB9S but haven't found a Buell group to ride with until now. Do you guys ride every Sunday or is just the first Sunday of the month? Ride safe! MacB. The official BRAG ride is First Sundays, but a nut named Buellish drives to the QT every Sunday to pickup anyone who wants to go. Caution Will Robinson; following Buellish is not for the weak of heart nor thee of little experience. Follow at own risk. But your XB should smoke his antique S2  | ||

Buellish, sorry I missed you Sunday. As feared, I was unable to get my butt out of bed that early on Sunday. I did put in a good six hours in the N. GA mountains though. I think I killed my OEM 207's with just over 3,000 on them. That's kind of disappointing but I have heard that the OEM 207's don't last too well. I should be there for the monthly ride on September 7th. Next weekend I will be out of town. Ride safe! | ||
