Agreed. I can't quite put my finger on it as the Ulysses is a better street bike in almost every measurable category, but I just want my Firebolt back.

It has been moved back to Smithfield since then, but is still available. I've been keeping my eye on it. : )

That is a deal. I had intended to just go get mine back when the Ulysses sells, but that price is tempting. I guess I'll have to decide how much the history I have with my previous Firebolt is worth.

Nice to see everyone at RP today. Looks like the turnout was excellent. It was good to see so many people there who I doubt have ever had a reason to stop by an HD/Buell dealership on a regular basis. I recognized a couple people from Michaels. The husband wife pair with the MV Agustas were there, and had their bikes entered in the show.

Sportymark/Seeingstars when is a good time to do the primary swap?

Sporty-
I made it home around 5:30 or so - just before it started to downpour in New Bern. Hit a little rain leaving Kinston, but it didn't last long. Stopped at Shelton's on the way home. Kinda funny that nobody there noticed the Firebolt front fairing...

I forgot to point this out at Michael's. For those of you who were there, remember the Moto Guzzi with the unique side hack?

Michael's 1

Michael's 2

Tell me if the taillight looks familiar...

Michael's 3

I'm not gonna answer this one - right away... So, any takers on this Buell trivia question? Did I just give too much of it away? I don't think so, but who knows...

Oh yeah, since it was alluded to by Webe (It was good riding with you up there!), 1st Place Buell XB and Peoples Choice:

1st place AND peoples choice

To those that were there, thanks! It was good seeing old friends and making new ones too. And, yes, I was able to reassemble the trophies and get them looking pretty much like they do in the pictures.

I need to sleep!

Well, I can definitively say it is not the taillight from either a Blast or a Uly.

It was good seeing you yesterday Brankin. You're not a face I expect to run into at Michales, and it was a nice surprise.

Very COOL day indeed! That is how a event should be put together. Nance, sorry I was on the ride with WEBE when you came around. I did see you pull in though. Congrats to 1313 and Seeinstars! Job well done. Mike you need anything after the exit?

Game on. I leave this evening for two days of on-road and off-road instructor training at the BMW performance center. Should be interesting... and exhausting ... big GS with knobbies in the mud, whew. I hope I get to wear out their road bikes on the 1.7 mile road course as well during "fun time".

U4euh says: Mike you need anything after the exit?

you talking about when my bike tipped over? that sucked! I caught it before the back hit. All it did was broke the clutch lever scratched the handlebar wind deflector and tore the rubber boot on the shifter. No biggie.
I had the stock aluminum levers at home, so I just swapped out and took off the wind deflectors. I ordered a new black lever, shifter boot, and wind deflector today. I also bought some of the cherry bomb red plastics too!

Hey guys- it was great seeing/meeting everyone at Ray Price this weekend. Big thanks to *everyone* at Ray Price HD/Buell for making this event happen. I was busy with the demo rides and not able to socialize as much as I wanted to, but it was fun to lead the demo rides and I was glad to help. The turnout was great, hopefully this will lead to more events like this from Ray Price.

Since no one else called it, that lens is from an S2 Thunderbolt. I *think* the S3 used the same lens, but I'm not sure. What do I win?

i couldn't tell you what route it was, but it was a good one, about 15-18 miles???? A few good curves, a few good straight, a few traffic stops. Spike really kept a great pace for the group I went on, got a chance to feel what the bike had, in all aspects of the above mentioned.

Rubberdown- have fun man and be careful

Looks like everyone had a great time at Ray Price over the weekend. Webe came by later and told me all about it. It sounds like it was a huge success. Mike, Jordan and all Ray Price folks you did a great job! I hate that I missed it and hope you do it again, just not at the end of April.

Congrats 1313!

Spike you beat me to it.

I have such little time to badweb anymore. Between work and Daddy duty in the evenings I have little time to surf or ride. If I did not commute to work the bike would not see the light of day for weeks. I hope to get the bike out this weekend if the weather cooperates, any plans?

We took the back way out of Ray Price to Lake Wheeler, Lake Wheeler down to Penny Rd, Penny to Yates Mill Pond, Yates Mill Pond to Tryon, Tryon back to Lake Wheeler, then back to Ray Price. The route looks something like this:

Thanks to everyone for helping make this event a success. Big thanks to Spike and Webe, I know the demos can be rough. We will start planning something for June soon. Any suggestions?
