Just got back from the Bubba Blackwell show...WOW!! What a great showman! I really wasn't sure if he'd make the 100 feet, but it went as smooth as silk. I loved the fireworks at takeoff. And the crowd...holy cow! I hope Buellmule got her bike fixed. | ||

10 semis, however 4 of them were under the landing ramp. Still impressive but nothin earth shattering. | ||

Safety nets?! We dont need no stinkin safety nets. Do it the old fashioned way, the way Evel did em. Use a damn street bike too. Hell Evel was using big heavy British bikes & Harleys for his jumps. Had about 2" of suspension travel, now you see Bubba & Evels son with bikes with 15" of travel. Everyone in the world knows Evel because he was a pioneer & set the standard. How many folks outside of the really rabid fans have ever heard of Bubba? I grew up watching Evel & his jumps & yes even his many crashes, but that guy had balls. Maybe not a whole lot in the brains dept, but he definately had balls. | ||

Hey, Bubba Blackwell's paid his dues. He had a jump go bad, and paid the price; but he didn't quit, and he's still jumping. He's pretty likeable in person, and the times I've seen him, he's put on an enjoyable show. | ||

Don & Kate, Thank you so VERYYY much for watching William yesterday and for being able to take him on such short notice. Please let me know if you Ever need somebody to watch the girls--Will always wants to play with them Don~that was the right wrench that Jay needed--I wasn't even close Apparently Jason almost wiped out because his back tire was totally covered in grease...Yikes! Hmmmm...Thought Dana told me this was Bubba's last jump and that he had to get special permission from the "War Department" to do it. Sorry, Nobody holds a candle to Evel in that arena. Then again, the Formula X Boyz are insane. However, note they do not play with the same equipment! Entertainment is one thing, but suicide is out of the question. | ||

Bill when he was at are open house thats what he made it sound like,his wife was going to let him do this one more time.Even heard the same thing from employee's at Uke's.But then again how many time's did Evel say "this is going to be my last jump." |
