Hey all...Was just checking the calendar and saw that Brew City has a ride scheduled for September 7th. If I remember correctly it was to be a ride through the scenic twisties in South Central Wisconsin. Have not seen anything posted about it and was wondering if it is still on.

Joe...I know that CJ and a group, MikeJ and Wife, and me with a group will be going. No clue yet as to when and where inside the grounds we will meet, if at all.

Perhaps may make for a good discussion if anyone cares. Will be a major zoo and people watching will be my favorite sport that day.

On the humorous side, if it is too much of a zoo or if the surprise entertainment is a bore, I will be one of the first out of there and will read all about it the next day in the Milwaukee Journal.

CJ...Would think the chances of running into anyone you know at the Party will be a real long shot unless you arrived together.

A few friends tried calling via different cell tels from a few outdoor parties last night and just the noise from the crowd (no bands playing at the time) virtually canceled out their voice transmission received either live or on v-mail on both cellular and hardwired phones. Not to mention, they could not hear their own phones ringing when called.

Communications will indeed be interesting at the events. So plan ahead concerning any rendezvous places and times.

CJ...Keep us posted as to when you get your bike back. Sure hope they take good care of you and don't stick you behind all the 100th oil changes, etc.

In the event you are being held up waiting for parts, let me know. I have a source that has the metal gaskets in stock for immediate pick up. Probably installation too, if you smile.

CJ...Glad to hear Hal's got you on the road again. That was pretty good turn around for them considering the work load they have this week.

Enjoy the 100th!!!

CJ...That is great news! Hal's has always done well for me and I am scheduled for major surgery on September 17th.

Along with 10.0K service am replacing the last two failure prone parts (oil pump and drive gear plus primary chain tensioner).

I just like the idea of replacing stuff before it goes. Love riding and hate getting stranded. LOL

Yikes...Hal's was a mad house today but really fun! If any of you wear soft contact lenses, I strongly recommend you check out Panoptix booth in the big tent. I bought a pair for $60 (half off Hal's regular price) took them out for a 100 MPH+ run and they worked so well that I went back an bought another pair in clear!!!

Anyone care to make an offer on all the goggles and Brand X shades that didn't work???

PS: If they are sold out of what you want, try Uke's as that is the only other venue in town they are exhibiting at with the same special pricing!!!

Yep Hals was nutz but thats because they have the least amount of space. The guys they have doing parking are kinda anal & dont always want to let you get outta the lot the ez way, but the cops are cool about it.

State fair wasnt too bad...too damn hot tho. Rhett Rottens wall of death kicks ass. For $5 its money well spent.

Went out to pilgrim at 9am today & they already had a line of a couple hundred people waiting to sign up for demo rides...would have taken forever. The one demo worker told me you could sign up for Buell demos at the Buell tent..went there & even tho the women had a stack of sheets, she said she was done for the day. Complete frickin waste of time. Oh well, will just hit Hals on a sat for demos.

So down to summerfest grounds I go. Get there about 9:45 or so...no idea what time gates open.
Find out that they dont open till 11 & they wont sell single day tickets until 12!? What the hell si that all about??? So screw that too, besides I had my back pack with camers & crap 7 they kept announcing no back packs, no cameras, no coolers, no nothing. Another waste of time.

But then I ran into Reg Kittrelle at Hals & talked with him & he said summerfest deal was nothing to write home about , new bikes..which I already saw.. & a display on the history of Harley along with the area to buy HOG crap.

Overall didnt accomplish much today. Oh well.

Hopefully tomorrow will go better. Going to try & hit the Franklin plant, Capitol drive & then do Club HOG up in washington cty.

PS..the crowd for Orange county choppers was nutz. We got there about 3:15 & they didnt show up till 4:30. Ended up getting one of the frisbees they were throwing from the roof of their semi so thats cool. Didnt feel like waiting any longer to get an autograph..not into that shit.

Not many pics today...will post later, am at daughters house right now while wife takes a nap then its off for some nighttime partys.

PS#2..The Richard petty deal is going on at the fairgrounds...$99 for 3 laps at 150mph. Its cool but Im not blowing the $$$ on it.

So far I would rate this deal as a B- its going pretty well, wish it would cool off a bit. No where near the crowds I was expecting...maybe they will hit this weekend? I would say we would be lucky to have 200,000 right now.

Dyna...Thanks for the heads up concerning the Summerfest grounds. Sounds like they want baggers only down there. I suppose a fanny pack with two water bottles, my glasses and contact solution is out of the question as well. FRIGGIN' CONTROL FREAKS!!! Am beginning to dislike living in NaziLand again.

No shit about the bagger deal. Seen more of those pigs than anything. Sorry harley but not all of us are into 900lb land barges. Hell I have stripped everything off my bike that could ever have even held saddlebags or a t-bag. If it doesnt fit in my pockets or into my backpack for longer trips..it stays home. Just where the hell do they expect people who travel to put all thier belongings they have for the day?

Besides like I said, I trust Reg's judgement & if he says its not worth the hassle, I believe him.

Still cant believe nothing that hadnt already been leaked out wasnt announced. New sportys & some new colors on the other bikes..big hairy assed deal. And why no pics?? I was able to take pics of the so called "new bikes" at pilgrim.

Maybe you hit the nail on the head...FRIGGIN' CONTROL FREAKS.

Dyna...Where can I find out what is allowed on the Summerfest Grounds before I head down there on Sunday for the Party? Fanny paks, ladies purses, plastic water bottle, etc???

If this is going to be that much of a pain, screw it. I will sell my passes for Sunday and read all about it in the morning newspaper!
