My apologies for not showing last night fellas.. that 20% chance turned into 100% about 5 minutes after I left my house! I made it onto the highway and had to turn around. 25 minutes into it and I was just completely drenched and it didn't seem like it was letting up. :/ Frank I still owe ya a dinner maybe a lunch this weekend instead?! And Richie I do have the rest of what I owe you for the part. I got it installed, got the high heat silicone and everything looks excellent! Anyone up for a Sunday lunch ride this weekend? I was thinking of possibly going back to the Brewery we went to last time in Lawrence? The food was great and it was a good ride. I figured I would like to get out once more before I leave as I wont make the next two bike nights.. Tell me what you guys think if your interested! Or if you have a different place in mind to eat.. | ||

Derek, Frank is doing a track day on sunday so I will probably go up there and do some video-taping for him and Dave and the rest of the gang....you'll have to count me out for anything on Sunday.....However Saturday I may be able to sneak away for some fun in the sun.....The Firejolt, Fryerbolt, (insert cool nickname for the beast here) may be on the road briefly this weekend  | ||

There was a KCMO cop running lazar from inside the sign mount over I35/70 on the north side of the downtown loop today. I came across Wyandotte street and said Oooooh Sneeeky as I rode by him perched up in the sign brackets, he kind of gave me a dirty look and kept on shooting. There was cars and motorcycle units on the highway below writing tickets. | ||

I got caught in the rain on the way home from work, scared to death of slick pavement after all the hot weather lately. Made it home soaking wet but no sliding.' I am thinking about having a Buell gathering at my house in a couple of weeks, burn some burgers on the grill, line up the bikes on my big driveway, swap lies and get to know each other Would you guys attend such an event? | ||

Alright mobbers... I just got off the phone with ironhorse stables. The rooms are booked at this point, but the man said they have cancellations and such, so cross your fingers, all you wimps  The huts are approx. 8'x10' A frames, and THERE ARE 6 LEFT ATM!! READ 6 !! So if you want a hut, let me know here, or call me at work (913)-422-3400 ext.74 and I'll reserve them for us. They are building a couple more with A/C in them that "might" be done by the time we come down. They all come equipped with 2 military style cots. Camping spots are about 10'x10' but not restricted to that. He said its pretty much just picking a spot and pitching your tent wherever you want. They have a parking lot for trucks RV's and such there as well. He mentioned a social campfire spot of sorts where everyone usually hangs out at till they get ready to crash. Also, if everything gets booked between now and then, the campground never fills up As far as tours go...they have several scheduled tours, but will ride pretty much anytime you want. They WILL CATER TO OUR NEEDS, hehe. His words, not mine Sounds really awesome. They have several routes they can take us on...several 60 mile trips, to the more involved 120 mile trips (which usually last 4-5 hours depending on stops). Checkout is lenient all the way around as well. They "try" to have a checkout time of 1 or 2 p.m., but know weather conditions don't always cooperate, so no problems there. The guy sounded really cool, and I think this will be a blast for all those involved, so invite a friend, and bring yer cameras If you guys and gals have any specific questions about anything down there, you can E-mail them at info@ironhorsestables.com or just call them at 479-253-0440 And just to remind everyone, I'm hauling the bike down in the truck, so there will be PLENTY of room to put yer cooler...errr...bee (DOH!) gear... p.s. Frank- To be honest I have no idea what he has laying around.. What are you needing exactly? I can ask him about it but I kinda doubt he is going to wanna part with anything a piece at a time. Never know, let me know what you need and I can ask him.. I know he has two complete engines laying around one I know will go with the truck the other was for spare parts.. not sure exactly what the engines are though. He may want to sell it all though who knows! hahah his mind changes about every 4 days! Huts?! Who needs huts?! Bring out those tents fellas! Im hopin to win some money in vegas so I can buy me a new seat before we take off though!! |
