As long as you use it as a trash can I'll gladly empty it. Anything else and you're on your own buddy .

I met Todd today and he seems an easy going sort of fella' much like our good friend Charlie. Should bring a bit of fun to the mix.

I can see right now, your not going to be a very accommodating landlord. So I'll just have to hold out for a better opportunity.

NUTS gotta new ride! I didn't have to sell or trade any away either. Actually I got half of Todd's old DRZ. My youngest brother got the other half. What he doesn't know is the half he got is actually 1/3 of Scarlett!I'll be keeping the DRZ for meself and letting him ride the XR.

Devious! I told ya'll Nuts was a schemer .
So Todd says "take it for a test spin out in the woods". Nuts says "thats alright, I'll try it later". We load it up, bring it to my house for storage and he proceeds to rip through my front yard multiple times! Just put down new grass seed too.
Oh the horror of it all .

I didn't know Wally-world sold firearms???(not that I'd buy one from them)

Anyhoo.. Been looking at the map.
If I beet-feet outta' here at the expected time, I should make camp around 4-4:30pm.

Were ya'll planning to be there that early?? Or am I gonna be sitting there, grill ablaze, all by myself, wondering if I'm in the right spot???

Oh, and the sale of the babyDR is off, due to unforeseen circumstances on his part, and to the bike not being what anyone would call "reliable". So for now, I'll be keeping it.

Tank, it does not set well with me that you still have more bikes than I.

Jackie, cause you're sleepin all day you might have missed out on some goods for the DRZ. Unabiker's, special shock etc...

Tank,
I gotta pick the girls up from school so we won't be on the road until around 4:30. If you wanna head on up and reserve our spots we should be there around 5:30. If you wanna follow us up you can swing by the house when you get in and hang out until Nuts arrives and we load his bike.
Are we gonna grill out on Thursday night or get something as we head up? I vote for grilling so we can get there and settle in before dusk.
I'm bringing Venison tenderloins for me and Nuts as well as some deer patties. If you want some let me know and I'll throw an extra pack into the cooler.
What else should I bring besides a bag o' taters and some corn on the cob?

Yea, me either. No room left in the garage. One bike has to live in the trailer temporarily.

Jackie,
I'll just push my departure out an hour or so.
I'm bringing plenty-o-chicken legs and thighs, and some steaks. Hadn't given much thought to sides?? I figure on cooking all the chicken the first night, so it will keep better on ice, and for quick easy re-heat for snack/lunch.

I have a 12'x12' pop-up canopy. Should I bring it??
(in case of...well you know)

...And what's up with this Toy Hauler??

Is dude providing a microwave? spotlights? disco ball?

I can see the bears that were lured by my chicken, all doing the hokey-pokey, to sat night fever, around Our campfire.

The guy with the toy hauler is going to make biscuits on Saturday morning for everyone so he at least has an oven in that thing.
He wants to make bacon and sausage as well and someone mentioned you were bringing a grill (it wasn't me but it was someone you know ). If you agree to bacon and sausage duty please leave a section clear so we can still cook my meat on that part later without me having to worry about falling out from spice residue.
I was hoping you would bring the canopy. That way if it rains we can put my bike under it so it don't get rusty .
You pitching a tent or sleeping in the trailer?

Well, I can put my bike in the trailer to avoid the wet spells...

I thought the canopy would be for people, but since your bike takes precedence....
They'll get wet.

No problem with the grill. The spice girls can have 1/4, and the rest will be for everything else. That's also why I'm grilling all the chicken the first night, plain. Try my best to keep you safe, brutha.

I guess Nuts can hang out under the canopy too, as long as he sits on your bike and makes "vroom-vroom" noises.

p.s. tent

You gonna roll by the house or meet us there? I'll be back about 3:50 from picking up the gals and we can hang out until Nuts finishes his task. Since he is taking his truck to bring the firewood he is just gonna throw his bike and stuff in there as well so we won't be wasting time loading bikes.

Don't forget that video camera. I want some footage of the brave souls who go through the water filled mudholes!

Jackie,
Why you worrying about that bike rusting, nothing is going to crack that quarter inch of wax you layed on it.
Sounds like everybody at Suches got a little wet and cold from reports I hear.
Are y'all going to be able to get that toy hauler up to the camp area? Sounds like a lot of fun, hope the weather holds for you.

Charlie,
Todd says he knows the area so hopefully he knows what he is in for with that thing. I just found out last night that our good friend The Mooch AKA Nuts is shacking up with Todd instead of pitching a tent. That boy seems to always be thinking one step ahead of everybody else .

I never did wash the bike after our scouting trip so it is still funky. Hopefully the caked on mud will prevent the bolts from rusting. If not then it'll take me a week with a toothbrush getting her back to pristine condition.

Planning on just meeting ya'll up there.
Looks like I might have to install the wheels on the bike Thurs morning, and then pack the trailer. I planned to have it all packed Wed night, but I still don't have my wheels back due to some unobtanium rear tube!

They say tomorrow, but I have my doubts.

Camera's already packed.

On another note, I demand that Jason be roosted as well since he instigated the entire attack that day. I begged him not to but he said if I didn't participate then he wouldn't be my friend anymore .

Yep, picked them up this afternoon.
I should go ahead and put them on, but I'm just enjoying this cold beer waaay too much.(Buuurrrrp)

Don't worry, plenty of big fat knobs on that new tire for roostings all around!
Hope I don't get busted for illegal trenching operations.

Tank,
Shoot me a PM with your cell number when you get a moment.
There is a 60% chance of HEAVY rain and strong winds tomorrow night. Nuts suggested (wisely) that if it is pouring down rain like that we may be better served leaving Friday morning instead. I'll call you to get your opinion of what we should do tomorrow around 3:00pm.

Yea, gotta agree with Nuts.

Trying to keep your bum dry hardly qualifies as "wise".

I'm seeing the "r" word, but the wind doesn't look to be so bad at 10mph??
But....I don't want to set up in the rain either. A little tough to cook on the grill too.

Definitely bringing the canopy.

Saturday should be perfect!

Torts, PM sent.

The local news mentioned winds up to 29mph may accompany the overnight Tstorms. Definately not a tornado but not a light breeze either .

Getting a couple of tarps, and a portable s#!tter. And some bungees.(I can't believe I don't have any bungees)

Sounds like you are hitting a sporting goods store so since you asked....
I need a Matthews Drenalin compound bow. Make sure it is the left hand model and 27in cam modules.
I'll pay you back at $5.00 a week so I should have it paid off in 3 years or so .

I am sick of looking at the forecast. It went from bad to acceptable to terrible within 2 hours. I think the weather men (or woman) are smoking crack!

Now that I finally have everything moved out of the house, into the trailer, except the kitchen sink(wouldn't fit)....

I think it's about time to cut the ropes and set sail.

Jackie, if I don't answer the phone at 3, it's because the music is too loud.
I should be almost to Blacksburg around then.

I'm outta' this bitch! See ya'll later.

Charlie,
My trip is over.
Nuts, Tank and myself got there about 5:30pm last night and set up camp. We then sat around under the canopy and had a blast shooting the breeze.
We all turned in for the evening around 9:45pm and the guys fell right to sleep while I watched a little tv. Woke up at 3:15am in the middle of one of my mastocytosis episodes and had to leave.
A big props goes out to Nuts for getting up and driving me home because he didn't want me driving with all that was happening to me. We made good time getting back to Roanoke depsite pulling over on the side of 311 so I could be ill and dodging the hundreds of deer.
Nuts is heading back up with Todd this morning.

It was POURING down rain from the time we arrived until about 11:30 and then it stopped completely. The forecast calls for a very nice day today up until late afternoon when the next front rolls in. Saturday should be good for them too since the rain is supposed to be light and sporadic with warm temps.

This is my last camping trip. It is too frightening to wake up with a health crisis going on out in the middle of nowhere.
Even though I can't control my health I still feel ashamed and guilty for leaving Nuts holding the bag and for robbing him of the sleep he is going to need to enjoy the days events.

You gave it a shot and it didn't turn out good this time,if you give up then you lose something you once had. Nuts is young and it won't be that big of a deal until he gets home and crashes. You still got some good trips in you, don't give in yet.Getting old SUCKS,hang in there.
