The trip was good. I saw you dad Sat. in Deadwood. I am sick of loud Harley's that are ridden by people who don't know how to ride. Heck at least the cars will do the speed limit. Nothin but a bunch of posers out stylin!

Digger...

to give my life story the short version... if it was not for bad luck I'd have no luck at all. So I am kinda used to it... and actually get more spooked when things go flawless. Presently I am a bit spooked... in the last 24 hours everything has done a 180. I went from a required 3.5% down to no money down and the closing costs also part of the loan... and all for less than my current rent. The acting apartment manager tonight let me back date the notice to move out... thus waiving everything except for the $600.00 "breaklease" fee. That frees up a bunch of cash for washer, dryer, freezer, microwave, BIG tool box, good air compressor, mower, 5x8 trailer, garage door opener. All what I considered would be a perfect start... but never thought it could happen. AND... even if I did like the ride to Arkansas idea... after suggesting your idea to Sharon... it would be hard to ride after she broke both my arms. Thanks... but I can get in trouble allllll by myself!! :-)

Frankster...

ditto the above to you... and I just can't imagine a HD mechanic riding a motorcycle to work... that must be TOTALLY unheard of in the industry!!! Sorry to hear about the lost of your "sportscar"... but happy to hear you were not hurt!! Been there... done that... just after my separation to divorce, my van went belly up... after running out of rental car money I did the bike thing the entire winter... with one ride home in a sleet storm to have ice caked on my shins when I got home. It's all fun and games until someone breaks a hip!! When in high school I only had a bike... I rode in the snow (it snowed more often here in the late 60s early 70s) or walked in the snow... I hated walking... so I had some exciting winters.

Neill...

thanks... but tonight I had to admit to Sharon that it was a good thing she nagged me to look for a house... I was for the most part humoring her... never dreaming I would find a deal like this. My insurance agent ran some numbers and told me the $93,000 house I was buying was going to be covered for full replacement... at $138,000 value.

everyone...

tonight Sharon was informed of our 180 degree change in finance situation and she asked if we could upgrade the hotdogs to brat, after realizing we could now move up to a nicer washer & dryer... and she now also gets a freezer. Wooo whooo beer and brat for helpers after the move!!!

kcbill...

tonight at KFC when we bought dinner... three of those posers in Sturgis t-shirts looking like real RUB bad-boys made an appearance on the way back to Virginia (from the tags)... at least they were riding and not trailering... welcome home

Dennis,

I think you should stick to the plan!!!! LOL no wait a minute, guess I really can't suggest that!! All it takes is that certain look from the little redhead and my mind seems to miraculously change. How the hell do women do that!!!!

Central Harley Davidson Brag Group Meeting..AKA THE KCMOBB!I should have my freshly painted lowers on my bike.

I kinda doubt I'll be able to make East troy :(:(:( I found a pickup that suits my criteria to the T and have to save my pennies for it cause the guy is only giving me 2 weeks. So unless you guys start a "buy-frank-a-truck-so-he-can-rescue-KC-buellers-off-the-side-of-the-road" fund, its not looking good for the 20th (which I'm sure breaks my boss's heart......).

Battletrax is still a possibility....

Did someone say TRACKDAY??!!?? Will try my damndest to make it there...maybe hauling my bike in the truck:D Guess I better buy some ductape so my toes don't end up hanging out there in the wind...damn teknic sons-a-bitches......

Sunday looks good thus far...unless something stupid happens or there's a SEVERE shortage of sleep going on then......

p.s. Dennis the Menace...does that mean we can upgrade the beer from PBR to Bud Light?????

Frankster...

Bud light it is... HOWEVER... there has been another turn... I am getting GD tired the "good news - bad news" phone calls from my loan officer. The good news is my house payment just got smaller... because of the bad news that I have to now pay cash for about half of the closing. Hey... the lot is only 66 x 300... I guess I really don't need that lawn tractor after all, or the BIG tool box or the air compressor. From now on when I see it is the realtor or loan office on caller ID I will answer... "NOW WTF IS THE BAD NEWS!!!"

You helpers won't mind passing around a 40 in a paper sack or splitting a hot dog... will ya? It will be a Bud Light and a Plumper!!! ...and I won't take any sips or bites to make it go further!

Dennis,
I've learned from the two houses I've bought is that the mortgage companies like to come up with all kinds of surprises, financial, and otherwise. Finding your new home is fun, the purchasing part sucks. Be prepared for last minute surprises.

130ish is not hard to come by on the XB, I was just there today. I need a new set of gear, lets say a vengenance 135, Mirage, PD reserve, and a cypress. I'll even put it together myself FAA rigger #TMX. I even used to jump with you at Indep, remember? Couchfreaks is coming up, but I have other obligations. First year I've missed in 7 years, I have to get my priorities in check!

Hey Paul I didn't check the web till late. So I didn't get back with you on your question. I'm sure it would have conflicted with your other plans. I came back around 3pm.

Dave, I will be up there on Sunday for round three, I also encourage anyone who is interested to come up and check it out. these events are lots of fun and designed with riders of all skill levels in mind, a very educational experience for newish riders and pro's as well. Count it right now as Jeff, and Jason and myself again....Frank this time and whomever else I can prod into playing.

Went to the FUSA races yesterday out at heartland park, more of you guys need to get out and actually watch a race sometime, you see some of the coolest things. I stuck around afterwards to talk with some of the different teams about parts and tricks they were using with their XB's to make the bikes perform to their liking...learned a lot of very interesting things. A special thanks to the guys at Harding Harley davidson for taking some time and being extremely hospitable, during a time when I know they were in a hurry to get started on a long road trip back to NY. Thanks.

KCMOB I will be in Texas for the next couple of days....so that's at least another Wed. I will miss out on. The Secretary may have to substitute for the treasurer this week? see you all soon, I hope! later

Glad to hear you are coming up for round 3 Sam. Maybe Adam will show up to give you a run this time.

It's time to register for the track weekend at MAM, the price has dropped to $75.00 per day.
If you have ever wanted to do a track day you have just run out of excuses, it's on a weekend,it's as cheap as they get, it's not half the country away. DO IT! Call me and I can register you over the phone or I can sign you up at BattleTrax.

Ride to the edge!

no track day for me, well, no track bike right now for me! I may tag along with Frank and video or something. Will not know 'til we get a little closer.

KC Bill, those of you traveling to the 20th, are you planning on going to the flat track races in Quincy on Friday night during your return leg? I wouldn't mind riding out for that next weekend. meet up with you all and motor back to KC on Saturday. someone let me know, I may go get my motor instead. speaking of which any of you's that get some face to face time with Erik....see if he knows of a way that I could get a flywheel assembly from the new 12 in a short amount of time! back-ordered with no release date is not the time frame I am looking for.....

hope to see you all soon!
