O.K. been thinking of things to do performance wise while I'm waiting for the weather to get better and I came across a thread on the XB Board about K&N filters. Who's using them and what do you think? Anyone using anything else? All my inline bikes ran best on factory filters, my Ducati used a K&N and I've used K&N's in some of my cars, but it's always good to get opinions from people that actually use them. Let me know what you all think or if you have a better idea.

I run the K&N filter. Can't tell you if it gives me anymore performance or not. I switched out at 1K miles so its been a while. All I know is that I can re-use the K&N instead of spending money replacing the stocker over and over.

I have K&N in all my bikes and cars. Never had any issues.

On the FZ1 I actually chopped up the airbox put a K&N air filter in along with a PC3. It made a noticeable difference.

On the Vrod I did the same k&N with open airbox. Also made noticeable difference but I did add fuell as well. So on the Buell you wold most likely have to do the same. Add some fuel in the open loop with ECM spy to take full advantage of the extra air flow.

I would love to do some ECM spy tweaking, if only I knew someone that might know more about it than me... hmmmm...
