Listen up! My wife and her unit will soon be on their way back from the big sand box. I've been in contact with the PGR State Captain as well as her unit's rear detachment and I'm trying to get the OK for the PGR to escort her unit. I don't have an actual homecoming date due to operational security, but it should be next month. Could be on a workday, could be on the weekend; I should know more maybe a week prior.
So who in NEBO/New Hampshire Thunder/Conneticut Buellers/Danbury Buell Riders would be interested in riding the Patriot Guard and escorting the 151st Regional Support Group?
The downside: if the PGR has an honor escort (ie funeral) that would, of course, take precedence, but it shouldn't stop my Buell bretheren from taking it upon themselves to provide an escort.

I am doing some mods that might prevent me from attending, but if the bike is ridable I will be there just tell me when.

Nope. There's a Family Support Group meeting this Wednesday, but we probably won't know anything until 4-5 days prior. One of the unit family members is a PGR guy, and he's spearheading the effort.
Sucky thing is that now Christina may not even be coming home with her unit. She has a leadership school (BNCOC phase II) date in California, and she may be going straight from demobilization in NJ to the school. Another month away from home. |

Hi Guys I am going to try to make it to Liberty Buell in New Jersey the 25th or 26th and Nick plans on going and will be meeting me in Connecticut,
I plan on going as long as I have gas money and the bike plus good weather maybe the weather will not stop me I do have a riding suit and I have been waiting to see how good it is at keeping me dry.

I'm bailing on this thing. My wife will be traveling from Kuwait to NJ, and then directly on to CA for school. I have no reason to meet up with her unit when she won't even be with them.
I'm just a little bitter about how they set up her school date immediately after a 13-month deployment. |
