>>>Alas, now I am in Atlanta and all I have to do is head north one hour and I say, "we're definately not in Kansas, Toto."

Ditto here...from NYC a hour North or West puts in the some premier riding including the place where BMW films many of their car and bike commericals.

South of Lawrence, near Clinton Lake, there is some fun area as well.

Ozarks used to be fun but with each corner yoiu have to factor in the oncoming RV.

Some of the best, and there's a Buell stroy to be revealed someday here, riding in the country is on Arkansas. The fact that the first Buell B.R.A.G. gathering was there was not an accident.

Everyone,
I just wanted to say a long overdue hello to you all, I have not been incarcerated or detained in any fashion other than being swamped at work with installs all over the country for the last four weeks. I have about two weeks left of being on the road and then I will be back at home with regular access to the boards and such. I have kept up with my reading here just haven't had much time to sit down and type! It's good to see we have some relative newcomers making themselves comfortable in our midst. the more the merrier! KC Brag is now official yee haw! sorry I didn't get to be there for the photo. Actually the only day I have had available in the last few weeks was the sunday I drug Jeff(mcwerks) and Jason(boogachek) up to waterloo for the battletrax round two Dave put on! Also I have moved, I am no longer living in Olathe I have a place near Shawnee mission Pkwy and Nieman. Try doing that in a weekend!(includes finding the place).....what a nightmare! The new place will be web wired soon so I will be more able to easily keep up here!

Court, are flywheel assemblys(xb12) from buell available for the boys at Nallin Racing to play with at my behest????? hahaaahhaaa. Seriously! Henry Duga is about the only person I haven't called and I'm calling him Monday!

Talk to you all soon but it may be a few more weeks before I can make a meeting on Wed. I will be sure and check in here! By the way, someone post up dates for the East Troy weekend stuff.... I haven't a clue!

I talked to gravedigger this evening...what a guy! Ben congrats on the 9R you will love it! if you don't already.... Keith says he's already put you through some paces on it! sweet.

Sam:

Not sure why an engine part would be any problem. My bet is that Henry is about 2 miles out of the loop you are needing to be in. Call Dave Chall at Topeka, get the part number and simply have him order it.

It's a stock part so it should be no problem.

Court,
everyone I have talked to says that assembly is on back order and has no release date. My guess is they are building motors as fast as they are recieving parts. thanks.

KC MOB,
anyone riding tommorrow (Sunday)?

Sam,
Yes I love the 9R! So much so that I am seriously thinking of changing my legal name to XBen9R. Oh yeah, just so you know you are in deep $#1t with my wife... Her words " They were here in Waterloo and didn't tell us?" I told her that I was sure that it was just a one day thing and you didn't want to complicate things, but that next time, I'm sure you would let us know you were coming up here, Right? lol. I'm sure she will get over it, after she kicks your arse.lol. But really congrats on the Battle Trax. We are working out details on being at the next one, I think we will be getting a room and staying Sunday night and doing the Water Park for the kids on Monday.

Keith,
Haven't had a chance to tell you that Sunday was an awesome ride. I am working nights this weekend so I'm homebound, but I will be itching to ride Monday or Tuesday. My little Dragon (Geode Park) has caught the construction bug so my runs through there have been cut off. So I'll be wanting to get a South Park fix at least once a week for a while. Might have to come take you to lunch at Mark Twain Casino. Just bring some of your Father-in-law's luck with you.

Later,
Ben

P.S. Odo today 00777.0 Should've gone to the boat today.

Ben,

Would have loved to have went for a spin this weekend also. I have been putting a new roof on one of my rental properties. Should have just contracted it out, but I'm being a tight ass. Trust me, I have all the respect in the world for the gentleman that do this for a living! Give me a call before you head this way as I am trying to get this job done because I have alot of full weekends again after this weekend and next. August and September have filled in quick. Aug 15, 16, 17, --Thunder on the Bay and K of C BBQ (Spoke with Heather, no plans so we have room for you guys. Possibilty that Sam is heading this way that weekend also) Aug 22 -- AMA Flattrack races Aug 23 -- Buddies bachelor party. Aug 29, 30 --- buddies wedding. Sept 19th --Arkansas. As you can see, I had no real choice but tho get this done now.

Sam, Let me know what your intentions are for the Boat races. We have room. That is our big end of the summer bash type weekend. Should be a good time. Ya might just have to pass on defending your championship that weekend! LOL ;) Bet I know someone that can convince you not to leave sunday morning!! LOL ;)

EVERYONE!

I still have 4 tickets for the flattrack races on the 22nd that are not spoken for. If your interested please let me know! Any of you guys that want to use my place as a layover leaving the 20th anniversay party are more than welcome to stay the night here and catch the races that night before heading home.

Keith

Hey mobbers... How was the Sunday ride through Neill's Gap? Couldn't make it... I had my son this weekend and no rear pegs on the XB9S... plus... even at 14 years old... he is not so stupid to want to get on the back of the Lightning on our runs. (It is good to see that at least one of us has some common sense, it must skip a generation.)

I think (cross my fingers & knock on wood... etc.) I may have found a house Saturday that will cost less than my apartment and have 3 times the space... plus a big detached 2 car garage... plus a triple deep single car basement garage, half the basement (can you say small bike shop)... 1.5 story... 4 bedroom house, 1700+ square feet... in great shape for about $93,000.00. I am hoping by Monday or Tuesday to lock in an offer.

...and the best part... I won't have to sell a bike to afford the place!!!

Paul,
You didn't get laid off then or anything? Does that mean that maybe..perhaps the wife will let you come out and play with the boyz? :D Come on up to the other place wednsday ;)

Dennis the menace,
Congo rats on the find :D Are you gonna throw a party, or should we just come over and throw it ourselves (if you get it) ??? I can fit at least 2 keg's in my "sportscar" :D:D:D

We had an excellent ride...there were 7 of us (tim, richie, mike, keith, neill, sam, and myself).went over to Heartland park and watched 'em have fun on track day. Man, I have the itch to attend another reeeeal soon. When is the next one, hippie dave?? hehe.
Oh, almost forgot to mention the breakdowns...Sam X1 one developed an exaust leak, both nuts fell off of the rear flange, AND the pipe has a couple of cracks in it . Found a hardware store, and he was back in action in bout 10 minutes.
Mike's compensator nut came loose, but luckily we were in LV anyways, so I let him take the "ol' beater" Tensioner shoe has been upgraded already, and we found a loose bolt (and the wrong type) in the trap door. Go figure.....

Frankster...

OK... You have to realize I just got back from a 81 mile ride to break cabin fever... I don't ride much on the weekends I have my son, and I had to get out... AND the bugs were thick... having to scrape the layers of suicidal bugs off my jacket & helmet... and my vision sometimes blurs due to some health problems... and affects my ability to see well to read.. WHAT happened to Sam that caused both nuts to fall off!!!???

If I had both my nuts fall off... I would not consider it an excellent ride... but then again I am a new Buell rider!!! OK guys... give me a little time to get up to speed... but I really hope it does not involve nuts falling off... I am getting old... and worry about parts not working... and parts falling off!!!

About the house... IF... and I am trying to not get my hopes up... cause shit happens... but pizza and beer AFTER... and I repeat AFTER some help moving... could be a real possibility. Notice I said after help moving... I have heard horror stories about help moving when the beer arrives before all the work is done. I may be dumb... but I am not too stupid... but then again if I am really stupid... I would not know the difference... maybe a bad example... anyway.

AND... should this house possibility crash and burn... and the deal falls flat... there will also be some drinking... but I am thinking I won't be fit to be around if that is the case, especially after that much vanilla vodka.

Sorry I missed the ride. But then again... when Lorena Bobbit pruned her husband... I would have hated to have been the cop who when along the highway looking for his "Johnson" after it was tossed out the window of her car... AND I really like Sam (though it has been so long since he has been in town I don't know if I could pick him out of a line-up) I am not sure if I want to have been the one to back track looking for his nuts!

Well, I had to change my name, just couldn't take it anymore.

Keith,
I will let you know before I head down there, looks like Today and tomorrow are out, I gotta go shopping. We have the Sweet Corn Fest going on this weekend. Sunday they have the Mini-Tractor pulls, kinda fun to watch if you want to ride then we could make that a stop? Let me know. I think you forgot about the Grand Prix of Carting too. lol Anyway I will talk to Connie and see what she wants to do about the K of C and the races to get some plans down. I know what you mean about weekends filling up fast.

Sam,
On the weekend of the K of C I think we are planning on heading up to Waterloo on Sunday to watch the Battle Trax then stay overnight and get my 1000 mile service and the dash lens replaced on Monday.
