Not a bad idea, I'll try to - Looks like if it rains a little tomorrow and washes off some of the salt, Sat or Sun will be nice enough to make a trip out to Frederick. | ||

I dunno what weather channel you have, but we ain't getting rain here in Frederick. At least not in liquid form. Good thing I like driving my Wrangler nearly as much as riding the Buell. Oh. Wait. It's a leaf-sprung ragtop that "sorta" keeps the weather off me. It nearly *is* like riding a Buell, LOL. | ||

Hey Joe.. Right now, not so sure I like the weather either... I'd love to try and get up there Sunday, but right now I keep hearing the 'Lower' 40's as the 'high' temps and by the time I get there.. I could be a Buellsicle.. I'll just have to wait and see.. (one of these days, I'm gonna have to think of getting some heated gear) | ||

Tell ya what. Come up here one day (above "-sicle" temps, but still chilly). We'll put a pigtail on your bike, the battery is easy enough to get to, and you can go for a spin with my gear. XL jacket liner and XL gloves. You'll be amazed. Besides, you've got a gaiter now. No excuses, LOL. I guess I'll get back to looking at the non-weather out my window. Winter storm? This is sad...not even slick spots on the roads. I should have ridden in. | ||

Can you believe the crap they dumped on the roads around there. At least VDOT anyway. They were under the gun a couple of weeks ago as the MEDIA thought they could have done a better job. Now VDOT has this knee jerk reaction going and I almost needed a 4 wheel drive to get through the salt and sand just to get to work. (Dulles Airport) Needless to say, I'm not riding today because of the piles of sand and salt. It's it the same way in different areas around here? Pray for rain. Speaking of rain. I have my gators and they work better than all my buds gear because they refuse to wear stuff from HD. Their loss. Pray for Rain! (Message edited by bearly on February 24, 2008) | ||

Just got back from a ride.. It was pretty hairy out there in a few places where it seemed they were trying to make us a beach.. But, it was still good to get out.. Now I just need to thaw a little.. good thing I had my gaiter.. un gaitor.. uh.. gator.. whatever on, kept my neck nice and comfy... | ||

Just got back from a little jaunt through the countryside. Salt wasnt too bad, but I ended up losing my damn licence plate somewhere along the way. Kinda took a nice ride and ruined it for me. Was feeling all great about myself too since I just installed some barend blinkers and finally fixed that uber-fast blink rate in the rear light... guess my luck has to even itself out. Can't go feeling too good before something smacks me back down. | ||

We're nowhere near VDOT's level of paranoia (that Springfield interchange bit was a real clusterf**k though), but we do have a good even coating of salt up here in MD. Rain would fix it. Couple of stop signs and intersections have some sandy buildup, but nothing too major. Riding like I'm on ice-cold tires has kept me out of the weeds so far | ||

Anyone here planning on attending the WV Buell Rally? I may have asked before but dont remember..... I think I may go. Looks like fun and Im going to miss the Troy event  Not enough time and money to do it all. Working totally cramps my style! | ||

Aug 15-17 at Northbend State Park, Cairo, WV 26337 Apparently there is a camp ground near by but theres also the Heritage Inn, 315 E. Main Street, Harrisville, WV 26362 that folks can stay at too. | ||

My ride in sucked. When you have to hang off the bike in order to go straight down a highway at 80 because of the crosswinds...ah well, at least it's above 20.
