They look comfortable Shawn! This Oxtar is a very similar boot with toe sliders (which I don't care about). I went with these primarily because they were a better deal in my size.

Cool boots guys.Reminds me i should buy a pair of dedicated motorcycle boots.I like them all black.

I polished my XB this weekend and was surprised by the improvement.I used the BMC recommended Novus brand #1+2&3. Nice shine.
Now i need to polish the others

Hey Eric, I finally got around to ordering the stuff I need to make a cable for ECMSPY.
My plan is to download the tables from my race ECM and re-install the factory ECM. Then load it with the ignition and fuel maps from the race ECM. This way I always have an unmolested race ECM to back to just in case.
After that I want to data log and tune for best performance. sound about right?
My brother is bumping the CR and doing some tuning to his Monster 900 so I need to make sure I stay a little ahead of him at the strip!

You can't just pull the map or the the full EEPROM from one ECM and push it into another unless they're the same ECM version. You CAN print out the fuel tables from one and manually enter them via the software. That's how I wrote mine. Except that's only the fuel maps; that has nothing to do with sparks or anything else that might have been written into the race ECM.

Are you building a Palm cable? If you are I'd gladly throw some money at you to build two. I tried datalogging with the laptop: PITA!!

My palm is old and just sits on a mount with connector to communicate with a computer so I don't think it is going to do me any good as there isn't any way to attach a cable.
Sooo, I will be doing it with a laptop. What made it so hard?

They do not sell ANY replacement parts for Brembo calipers.I was told this while at BCM Ducati.Surprizing..i know.MY Ducati parts manual doesn't even list ANY parts for it,other than the whole unit itself.
The whole unit brand new is $175

Scott-NH- On my first failed attempt I was riding with the laptop in my tailbag. Yes, I had it set to stay on with the lid closed, but that didn't stop the HDD's shock sensor from locking it up (I think)everytime I hit a bump. Then I tried with a backpack, but between the electric jacket, my Aerostich, and 3 or 4 other layers I just didn't feel "right" on the bike. Too many wires going everywhere. I'll just wait until I can go out in just leather before I start the datalogging.

Ok Scotty, I was thinking I would do it in a backpack or maybe getting a tank bag.....
It's great to have folks around that have gone down this road before me!
My bike already runs great as a couple of XB riders (and many other v-twin riders and even a few I-4 riders!) who have gone down in flames at the strip can attest

But I don't want to leave any free HP on the table either!
