I'm partial to K.I.S.S., so I like the one that has CABO WABO up top and Buell underneath, but I'd simplify further. Remove the WABO and keep it all in the circle and have C at 10:00, A at 11, B at 1 and O at 2. Sorta "CA(star)BO" up top. Put the Buell oval logo or pegasus inside the circle between the bottom points of the star. All white lettering on the blue background with the black bike and rider. Either a yellow or white star. I think a white star with white lettering may look a bit cleaner? Or, use a Buell logo behind the rider instead of the star, and put the DC stars-n-bars underneath. The monument ones are nice, but look a little too...phallic  Great work, just my .02 is all! | ||

if this is the DC,VA DC site why are we talking about cabo wabo. and whats with the equal rights on the logo and the chicken honda wings on it. why dont you take something that syas chesapeake, i would tell you but im not from there. then take soemthing that makes buell fifferent then all the rice patties. i don't mean to sound like an ass, but i am sure if you guys put more effort you can come up with soemthing more original. rememebr on japs copy cat | ||

Hey Bill.. Lets see, where to start? Read the whole thread, then you'll understand, but I'll try to help you out a little.. In order.. We're the Capital/Chesepeake Area Buell Owners. So, we're CABO. The w a b o thing was from another line of thought and as you may have noticed, will not be used unless it's needed at a later date. And it wont be for 'washington area buell owners'.. So never mind about the wabo thing.. Equal rights on the logo.. uh, not really sure what you mean about that. We're tossing around ideas right now and the DC 'S & B' was one of the ideas, since it's kind of centrally located (not really) within our 'area of influence'. Check the wing design.. It's not Honda, it's actually the wing off the Buell Pegasus.. The letter 'C' stands for both Capital and Chesapeake.. Chessie was added during the voting.. remember that? It's at the beginning of the thread. At least you put forth an idea for the logo.. Thanks for that! Now, if we're all caught up, let's get back to the work at hand.. Something simple.. perhaps if we're lucky.. elegant.. | ||

So, am I the only person in the whole state of Delaware who has a Buell? Delaware, you ask? It's that state that looks like the east coast of Maryland, just below New Jersey. Anyway, I just caught up with this thread, and I kind of like the earlier images, with a front view of the rider. Maybe image C with the bottom caption wrapped like the top. Just my opinion. | ||

Ras, Love the red Pegasus with the stars. I've been trying to get something similar done so its worthy to post. My thought was to put a letter in each feather of the wing and then the words in much smaller font. So, from top to bottom: C heasapeake apitol A rea B uell O wners But I hadn't thought of the stars on top, I like that. | ||

Smiley1eye, I tried placing the letters in the wings many times, spelled out, just the initials, across, down, and just couldn't get it to look right. So I gave up, went with the big C.A.B.O. on the bottom with the district stars half-way making the DC logo (missing one bar) on the top. That's why the stars are on the left. | ||

I would chose this one with some minor changes. Make the CABO solid red and lose the periods. Maybe try some different fonts.  | ||

I like the Bay one (below), but you also need to consider what it will look like when they shrink it to a thumbnail.  | ||

I like the bay version as well.. (ok, with the C words re-aranged) .. However, I think that it will make an ugly patch if we choose it.. Although I think another version of it might work. As for it being a thumbnail. Hmmmm.. If we made the map lines a little bolder. And Used larger letters just to spell CABO.. Hmmmm.. It may work. What do ya think? Rasmonis did the original, I wonder if it's possible to do it over with a little less detail and a little bolder definition? I had another idea, but was unable to draw it, since I suck as an artist (unless I have a camera in my hands it seems). I did a really bad job of sending a mock up (really I did) to Ramon. It must have been so badly done, he didn't even try to copy it    | ||

Pete, I tried your idea. While it was good, I just couldn't pull it off. Couldn't proportion the rider into the bolt like you did in your drawing. Patches b & d above were as close as I got. | ||

The more detail you have, the worse it will appear on a patch. Something simple, even if you have to give up some of the stuff you want to use. | ||
