I tried... almost got to eatonville and my friend pulls off the road.. his oil light is on and wont go off until he revs it to 4k. sit and wait an hour and a half for my other rider to go get a truck and pack his s1 back to puyallup..

so, down to me and a rc-51, I happen to look down at my belt, and see what I thought was a bug. hmmm, wont brush off, yup, its tore almost half way through (1545 miles). I called DHD, Desperation and East side, none had a belt. my saturday was SHIT.
sleepless in seattle,
tim

Cuzin Bob,
I can't sell that POS! I couldn't give it away if I wrapped it in hundred dollar bills!
Got the price down to $6200 and still got no calls. Not even from the scrap man.
I can thank all the bad publicity that Buells have gotten from the X1's.
Didn't you read what some a$$hole on sacborg wrote in the bike for sale section?

"what is the price now? has it come down to what a 10 year old motorcycle is worth?"

What a dickhead!

Oh Deb, sorry to hear of your brush with gravity, I hope your OK. Let us know how
those x-rays turn out and hair over quick! I had a bit of a bummer on Sunday myself
but nothing like yours, mechanical issues with the M2.

Galen, don’t give up the faith but find a better connection. You may be getting a tool
from them, but their giving you the shaft. Get it back together and give that Betty
bitch the whip.

To all those who missed SuperSPLASH 2003, YOU SUCK, make it next year!

Just a note from the Canadian Contingent. Is it possible SPLASH was even better than last year? ABSOLUTELY! We made it home safely and made great time. Left at 12:20 from Thundercross and crossed the border a little before 6:00 PM. Thundercross is fun, but it's very tough to ride with that smooooooth Bobness. I thought I was getting better after 10 tries and then Deb goes a second faster her first lap! Anyway, hope you're feeling better Deb. Next year I promise we'll be there less than 5 hours late. Had a great time, met some awesome new people and had tons of laughs with the regulars. See you at Border Raid.

Harv

So, Bob, tell us all the results of the xrays.
I'll bet she is sore as all get out. Especially lower back and shoulder, but head too, hunh?
Treat her like the queen she is, buddy.

Shotgun, The X-ray place never called to tell her anything yet. Kinda Weird but then it goes with the two of us. I can't amagine being with any other human and I surely couldn't replace her so I'm gunna take good care of her.

Thanks buddy, In The Rain Forest, Bob

Hey SuperSplash gang,

We Canadians had a great time! An adventure from the moment we started. Well... that is once we figured out which of the 4 StarBucks we were supposed to meet at. :D

Saddle Up! Time to head south of the Border.

What a great weekend! The weather was flawless and everyone had a great time. Although Deb's high side really sucked. (thank gawd it was at low speed!) Man... it's gonna take a long time to get that slow-mo vision outta my head. Heal up quick Deb! Okay maybe this photo will help, you looked good out there girl!

Deb shows her riding prowess and Triumphs!

Thundercross was awesome! Thanks to everyone that organized it. Was cool to get the first place trophy for the Women's class on my inaugural participation in the event. Course, Deb'll kick my butt next time I'm sure!

Thundercross Podium at SuperSplash weekend

Thanks to Bob & Deb for your hospitality Sunday night. We sure had some great laughs. Always a riot with you crazy Americans. LOL

Winding down after a great weekend of riding.

We crossed the border Monday morning at about 2:00 without any mishaps. Even tho Peggy's been acting up and trying to cough up a hair ball or sumthin.

Looking forward to BorderRaid. Guess we should book some rooms huh?

Ride on...

Lo

PS. More pictures soon!

Well that was a HOOT! Great to see the whole gang again, and to meet the new-comers! A bit humbling in a couple of ways. My best chases were keeping up to Lorraine on the Blast or Galen on that old Beemer. And my bike was handling better than it has in years. You two both rock!
Then the roads! Fantastic. Makes the Duffy Lake look like a long driveway. It'd be nice if we could get more people to do the route to overnight in Kelowna. There's some comparable roads to there and then south towards Osoyoos.
So book an extra day and let us try to reciprocate for the SUPER-SPLASH route.
BTW, Jim was saying that the book DESTINATION HIGHWAYS ranks the back-side of Mount St Helen's (which is proposed for some part of next year, I understand) as being a 10/10 rating for engineering. Need that Aprilia.

Eric, don't make my head swell... have to fit that helmet on ya know!! ;) Peggy did well, even with the popping and gasping that intermittantly aflicted her. Don poked and prodded at the Blast and it seems to be running fine after the 60 km test run tonight.
For Border Raid we're trying to have a sitter available so we can do the 2 night stay, but I thought the next destination was Osoyoos not Kelowna. Is it do-able? School starts Tuesday, so have to be home by Monday evening. I'd love to extend the Duffy Lake run since last year's ride went waaay to fast!
Check the Canadian stormfront thread for hotel info for the Labor Day ride.

Last Border Raid we made it to Kelowna with a stop in Kamloops to purchase and install a new tire on Shawn's bike. On a Sunday, yet. We still made town before dark.
Can our southern friends manage an extra couple of hours on the Monday? The Green Mountain Road, south of Kelowna, between Penticton and Oliver, is like the closest we've got to the SPLASH route. Except Westside Road on the way into Kelowna, which is just a gigglefest. Its kinda like that one-lane section, but with altitude. We didn't get enough people going that way last year. Just four of us, I think. But you were all missing out on some great stuff.
I wonder if we could get all the way to Penticton?

Well

Super-Splash has left me speachless (till now).

I really didn't think it could be better than 2002, but I was wrong! This is by far the premiere motorcycle event of the (any) year and should not be missed at any expence!!!

You couldn't fine a nicer group of people anywhere on the planet. Must be the west coast attitudes. Worth mentioning, was the fact that the entire west coast (California, Oregon, Washington & B.C.) where represented at Splash 2003.

An extra special THANK YOU to Chris and Lonnie for all the hard work to make this such a great time for all. Sorry we missed the BBQ. Won't happen next year. Promise!

Bob, Deb and those who raised the funds to bring Thunder Cross to Super-Splash 2003, You guys are awesome! It's people like these that really make a differance.

Thanks again and we'll see ya at Boarder Raid!

Cheers
FunJimmy

Ferris

Does that fantastic offer of Laguna Sega/Splash 2004 still stand?

I've received the thumbs up from the wife, just need to make lodging reservations.

Recommendations?

FunJimmy- did you say you will see us at Border Raid? SPLASH left you speechless and willing to try your luck at risking the possibility of some sort of bike failure? Well I personally think that ROCKS! I am already looking forward to Border Raid and seeing Stu and the rest of the Canada Gang - eh! And hey Harv since I know your bike tops out around 137, next time I won't get off the throttle! (I talk a big game)..... :)

RacerGirl (Deb)- how are you feeling? Have you heard the results of your x-ray?

See you guys soon -

Kimberlie
