Sound_uly: Well that just makes sense about the oil checking procedure...

And owning lots of bikes sounds like a problem I could live with...

Galen

Dam straight!

Gerry at the Lakeside should be commended for the support and hospitality he extends to our group year after year.
We use his motel as a hub for our hooligan adventures every chance we can.
Does that implicate him as an accomplice?

Miss ya all

Is there anyone in the Seattle area that could stash a bike for me for a week or two while I process an export permit? Inside or out as long as its reasonably safe.

Hey Eric,

I'm just north of Seattle and could probably make room in the garage for another bike for some time. I've got a couple moved out having some mods done so they'll be out of the garage for a month or so. Let me know if you need me to help.

Cheers!

Ron,
1125R in Seattle along with a slew of other bikes not mentioned.

Hey Ron. That would be great. I'm about 80% sure I'll be bike shopping around noon tomorrow in Seattle for a Triumph 750 or a KZ650. Maybe wandering down to Tacoma to watch over Bob's shoulder. Maybe you could PM me your phone number, Ron. (We should still have it but I'm at work right now.) Jaci is still advised to not be out of the country. If anyone wants to come along for the tire kicking, let me know.

Wow, I haven’t posted on Badweb for years, been busy with the new front yard.
Is there still a local group that rides once a month (weather permitting)?

I've been commuting to work and elsewhere on my new 1125R every single one of the last 10 days (got it on the 15th).
It's cold, but not really that bad with the proper gear... The item I appreciate most is my balaclava; it really keeps the cold out. Without it, no way would I be able to ride in this cold!

Hey! That looks like my bike.... (runs to garage to make sure his isn't missing).... OK, I guess other 1125's look the same as mine. Where do you commute? I may have seen you down south on I-5 late last week, or maybe there are more than 2 of these in the area. Big congrats on the new bike.

Sweet bike. How do you like it so far? I know.... still breakin' it in. It's so tempting to just twist that damn throttle though! I haven't been getting much chance to put the break in miles on mine yet. My commute is only 3 miles so when I ride it I have to take the long way in or back home just to get some miles on the girl.

It'll be fun hookin' up sometime. Hope to see you at SPLASH in July!

Cheers!

Ron

It probably was me that you saw as I commute from Tacoma to Tukwila and back nearly every work day (some days I work from home).

I love this bike! It really screams at 10,500 RPM...
My bike has been broken in since Tuesday 1/22 which was when I had its first service done at Downtown HD with 664 miles on the clock. Had 670 when I picked it up (tech must have had a joy ride) and it's near 1,000 after the HOG event today in Puyallup.

I am concerned though because I forgot to tell them about the oil checking procedure revision indicated on the forums here until AFTER they were done and they basically said they "had to go by the official materials" and "it's covered by the warranty regardless"... Not very comforting.
It has had a slightly different sound, kind of more harsh, and has been producing some smoke while warming up since the service.
I've just emailed them the URL to the oil procedure notice and I may even call Buell customer service myself about it on Monday.

I hope to make it to SPLASH... Should be able to.

Ron -
You went to the Puyallup shop Saturday? I was going to, but it was rather cold out there! Are you a HOG member?

Were there very many peeps there? I should have went, I'm a member of both HOG chapters. But I was working on my race car instead.

There were tons of people there... The place was full & overflowing and they started to run out of food half-way through after already running out of cutlery.

The band quit early due to the rain and my wife and I split shortly after that to help a friend with a pet emergency.

Hey guys- I'm a New England Bueller, but I thought I could jump in here to advertise my sister's soon-to-open burger joint in Hood River, OR. Actually, it's across the river in Binjen, WA. It's currently called Viento, and she's keeping that name. I believe she's opening at the end of Feb.

She rides, so you know the restaurant will be biker-freindly.

I'll work on her for a BadWebber discount, and I'll post up in here again when I know her honest-to-gosh opening date.

Lets see... I spent Saturday over at Bob's workin' on bikes. I discovered that Bob is still way out in front on the 'most toys' accumulated in one life-time...

And he seems pretty happy about it...

Betty is in for a little 'Nip-Tuck'

We can barley wait 'till Spring. And in fact, we're not. Bob and I decided life's too short, and the clock ticks too fast; we need to ride more! So keep your powder dry, and be ready to ride at the sound of the Gods calling.

Galen

What's up with Betty? Looks like you and me are riding on the same performance wave.

Just got the RC51 forks back from a the suspension spa. They should be ready for duty soon.

Hope you are all weathering things well.

How about Daytona? Beer and good friends are calling.

Jimmy

Yes Mr. Jimmy, winter is the time to work on bikes, eh? Takin' my forks in tomorrow for a little massaging; replacing the intake & injector seals, new headset, er, neck bearings, and putting some kinda new shock on the rear. ( Yea for Federal Tax-refund... mabey even a Penske if I'm luckey) It was a great day over at Bob's. Big Steve was there re-jetting his 'dirt' bike, Bobert got the beemer to spin, Deb's dad telling us stories from the day... a beer in one hand and a wrench in the other! We should all be committed to the same institution.or!

As for Datona, I'm still waiting for my embossed invitation to arrive by special courrier...

Debbie's heel is finaly showing some signs of healing. She got another new cast last week, and will be going into one of them boot dealios in another coupla weeks.

sooner, Galen
