Sorry Paul. No pictures of our first ride. All i had at the time was my phone and I cant find anything on there. I do however have other photos that I can post under the photo section.

No ride for me either. I will most likely ride the Bike to Latus but I have to be back home by 1:00. Still have family here from Sweden and I have to pick my daughter up from a B-day party (wife's working).

Jim do you want your cable back tomorrow?

Aron,

If you're done with it. Did you get your own cable yet? I thought I remember you mentioning something about ordering one a while back. I'm not in need if you're still using it, not to mention I'm not even 100% going to make it tomorrow. I've got to run to Woodland in the morning to pick up supplies for next week before I can head for Latus. I should be able to make it, but I too need to be back here by 1:00ish.

Jim,
I did order a cable and it is scheduled to finally ship on the 12th. It has been on back order for the last three weeks. Everyone must be ordering this particular cable lately.

I am done for now but if you don't need it I might hold on to it until mine get sin just in case.

Right now I need to run my bike for while to see if there are any other bugs that needs to be worked out. I have done 4 separate data logs with ECM Spy and have had a new Eprom upload after each one to fine tune my timing and fueling at all RPM levels and TPS positions. So my map is now designed specifically for my bike and pipe with help from Mike (Xoptimisedrsx).

Great meeting today at Latus and we got to see an 1125R in person. Way Cool!

It was nice putting some miles on while the weather was nice. I think this was the first official ride Mark made it on.

By the way Moto Corsa had some sick bike's.

Ditto Aron's comments. Good to see you all, and great to have Bill and his Uly join the group!

Yep, I guess today was my 1st official PBR ride. Good route for rumbling, especially along the Lake Oswego millionaire trail.

Go Buell!

Don't worry. You don't have to be old to want to break the rules when riding a Buell.

I have to practice a lot of self control myself when riding in a group.

Hey guys- I'm a New England Bueller, but I thought I could jump in here to advertise my sister's soon-to-open burger joint in Hood River, OR. Actually, it's across the river in Binjen, WA. It's currently called Viento, and she's keeping that name. I believe she's opening at the end of Feb.

She rides, so you know the restaurant will be biker-freindly.

I'll work on her for a BadWebber discount, and I'll post up in here again when I know her honest-to-gosh opening date.

Man, wish I could have made it Saturday, but just have too much going on right now and for the next week. We may need to set up a day for Aron to give an ECM Spy "how to" class for PBR members. I know I'm interested to see everything he's learned and start doing some experimenting of my own.

Just finished reading over the charter and it looks good. Much more detailed than I would have ever come up with. Did you guys discuss the types of member only functions PBR would potentially be interested in?

Aron, clearly I'm not in a hurry to get the cable back, so keep using it and learn as much as you can. Who did you order the cable from? Did you find someone that sells it complete or did you have to order the parts to assemble one?

Jim,
The Members only events would be funded by dues or the sponsor.

We talked about group rides to Nor. Cal. 3 day 2 night sort of deal, and Mexico, week to ten day sort of deal, but this is early discussion only.

That translates into..."worked until about 1 AM and pissed the old lady off pretty bad when the Borla shook the whole house. Guess I should have washed my hands before coming to bed too, with her lavender sheets and all... Thats OK though, sleeping on the couch is sort of like camping..."

I know its too early in the week to tell for sure, but kptvs forcast for the weekend is great, saturday will be 58 and partially cloudy with no rain from thursday through sunday, we should try to put a ride together if that forcast stays.

Paul, thats too funny! just like camping with the dog!

Bill - congratulations on the new XB9! I'd wager you find that it has the "drivability" of your hopped-up 883, with the light & easy handling of one of your classic English bikes.

Hergy - good idea about ECM Spy / VDSTS tuning day, even if it's just show & tell. Been looking into the tuning options myself, with anticipated engine mods somewhere in my future.

Hey all - we'll need to get the PBR budget floating soon, via initial membership dues. Soon thereafter we'll need to budget our contribution to the trackday event. We have options regarding the actual low/no-fee banking for PBR: coffee can buried in the backyard, PayPal account, "all-on-paper" cash-based accounting. Let me know if

How about a banner for the group? Directly thieved from Paul's club charter:

PBR banner1

I'm thinking something that we can display for public events, e.g. during trackdays and the much-anticipated "bikini bike wash & bake sale festival". And just big enough to add visibility, while remaining small enough (when rolled up) that one of us can carry the banner on pillion seat to- and from events.

And seriously, some type of bike wash/bake sale thing conducted at Latus on a Saturday could be a straightforward means of raising funds for the Tripp Nobles trackday event. With Latus' blessing, of course. Think about it.

I think we could do a Banner of Just the PBR flames...

A lot of us like the Beer can thing, but it hasn't caught on like the Flames. we should stick with Flames as our logo.

Perhaps we do a beer can patch for the founding members, and the founding members only...

All,
I'd say we need a local bank checking account, and recomend a PayPal Buisness account as well.

The PayPal Buisness account would allow multiple users (Pres and Treas) and would allow us to accept credit cards. I think in the age of debit cards, that's BIG. It does come with a % based fee, small, but still a fee. https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_regi stration-run

When I set up my PayPal account for Ebay, it required me to link it to a bank account, so I guess that comes first.

I'll try and Bring $50 to our next meeting so Mark has a ballance to open the account with...

Wow you guys really went to town today. Great job.

I agree we should stick to one logo. The beer can would make a great patch or better yet a ball cap.

Jim, I ordered th cable through mouser and I do have to put it together myself. It was just on back order for a long time.

Kenny, will Latus honer the Buell gator Vouchers?

I just printed out mine. Good Feb 1 - April 15 at participating Buell dealers. I didn't see Latus name under dealers however.
