There were a total of 6 Buell's! 1 Cyclone, 1 Uly, 2 XB-S's, 1 XB-R, and 1 Blast.

Had a good time with you all as always.

Sorry, I bailed. When I got up at 7 it was blowing snow and about 35. Didnt think it would be wise to try and run 150 miles out that way. Glad ya'll are closer.

I wussed out too. I'm fine with rain, snow, sleet(got caught coming from up north thanksgiving weekend, which had all three) but I can't stand riding sideways when I'm trying to go straight...Youze are hardcores: )

It was cold, but not snowing, sleeting, etc here. There's a post with pickatures on the Quickboardhttp://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/406 2/326927.html?1199287721
When I got up from my nap it was gusting up to 30mph and snowing, it sucked. I had to pick up the roommate at the airport. My window regulator broke when the traffic cop had me roll it down. Peice of crap, try 30 miles of driving with no window in a snow storm. It sucked in the worse possible way.

Thump, got your e-mail. Thanks, but got about 100 away from house and met a little rain. It didnt look like it would slow or stop out your way so I turned around in Cambridge. Wasnt too bad but now I'm drying out my clothes and helmet. Keep your eyes open for a good weekend and we'll hookup.

Lost, I was there around noon, wandered around, fondled some tires, compared some dirtbike handlebars, and left.

Weird, it didn't rain a drop here. There was some mist, but that's about it.

Monday was by far the best. Went out for an hour and half. Got by the tatt shop and gave them my Buell patch for them to size one up for my arm. It was really nice to be able to ride in the middle of Jan in 57 degree weather!

Hooray for global warming! Screw the polar bears and coastal cities!

It was pretty weird washing my car and bike then taking the bike out for 50 miles to 'air dry' it

It really hasn't been stopping me from riding when it's cold. I just hate all the gear I need when I do it. It's been pretty nice so far.

I'm going to be throwing on some new tires in the next few weeks, does anyone have a spare XB wheel key? I didn't get one when I got this bike and they won't help me out... Any ideas for taking the wheels off without a lift?

Dont have a key, sorry. Can you hang the bike anywhere with a chain hoist? I usually use soft straps and my hoist to hang the bike. You could also do one wheel at a time by using a jack and some creative blocking. If you want to, your welcome to ride it here or truck it over and we could do it. Have tires already? It'll help to bring just the wheels in instead of the whole bike. Course you know that. Call me if interested. 1-740-282-2545 home. Leave a message. I'm off Tues and Weds. Go in Thursday afternoon, 1:30 - 10:00.

I have a complete engine hoist good for 1200 pounds, but I would be limited to one wheel at a time which wouldn't be too bad.

I used to use jack stands(flip the rider pegs upside down) and a jack taken from my car(low profile) under the muffler. Works well but I was always a little nervous as I have kids/dogs, thus I wouldn't do it until I knew I could get them done quickly. Theres a guy in Hilliard that does a good job for cheap, he's done my last three sets of tires, two M2 sets and one XB set, if your looking for someone. 50 bucks or thereabouts for the set, and that included removing them from an old set of rims!

Thump-also if your around me I'd let you borrow my key. Also try a tool place between fisher and broad just inside of 270, I can't remember the name, but they had hexes in that size for cheap. If you go east on broad from 270 take the 1st real left(it's georgesville rd. to the right) and go up it for about a mile and it will be just before the tracks on your left. let me know if you want to borrow mine though.

Thanks Ceejay. I'm currently watching a set on ebay that looks like it'll go cheap. I also need the spanning tool for the rear shock.

My idea is to use my heavy duty tie down straps to lift the front of the bike with the hoist. I'll use your idea for the rear of the bike (no kids or dogs).

I've been kicking around the idea of getting my own mounting and balancing machine. The balancers aren't too pricey, but the mounting machines are up there if you want a decent one...

I have a cycle jack you can use. You may have a hard time getting it under your bike but I'm sure we can figure something out.
Let me know if you want some help.
Its not like I'm out riding in this weather!

My old man has a manual one that he likes, but I've never tried it as he's a few hours away...I was going to make a balancer, but once I found the guy I currently go to, I quite worrying about the money so much(hint-mounting is a PITA!)

I've worked at tire shops when I first got out of high school. If I can mount a 24" tire or an 18" Corvette runflat, I can mount a motorcycle tire... My logic is if I can mount friend of friend's tires inexpensively word of mouth will spread. With the balancer and a dial indicator I can also true wheels (worked at a bicycle shop too!)

Balancers are pretty precise, I'd use a No Mar balancer, it was less than $100 and is one of the best non-computerized ones out there. Harbor Freight sells a mounting machine for $100, but I've never used one of those. No Mar sells a really nice one for $600... I'm confident that I can do a great job with the $100 mounting equipment if I take my time. Find out what kind of equipment your old man has...

Mark, thanks for the offer! Being on a stand or hanging may be a week or two though. I'm looking for someone to swap suspensions with. I figured that I'd just do the tires if I can find someone thats willing to do that within a reasonable amount of time and I would hate to tie up someone else's garage space. Any progress with that muffler?
