Ain't gonna happen. Cindys' mom comes home tomorrow and we are having the "big" family meeting as well as having a notary meet us to make us power of attorneys and benificiaries of her insurance.
On a brighter note I was able to get up to the club and try out the ATV while they were setting up the hospital bed and stuff.
I couldn't hit the lower logging road because of your buddy in the white pickup and his sidekick (the dude with the dog) but was able to go up the upper logging road and 400 meter range. Only rode about 4 miles but it was a welcome break from reality.
Managed to bag 3 squirrels along the way and probably could have gotten a few more but decided to sit on the field and try calling predators which as usual resulted in seeing NOTHING. Even so it is nice having the mobility to go from one place to another on opposite ends of the property.
Off to the hospital.

Jackie,I'll be back out again this afternoon. Mr.Parker and I will be looking to put some more venison on the grill. Don't know where I'll be sitting at yet, it'll depend on who else is where. Did I mention that those dogs have got to go? I see them more often than deer! Hope all went well last night. NUTS

Have a look at this everyone.

Jackie,
I came back empty handed again. I had caught a Dillo on the side of the interstate between New Orleans and Baton Rouge and had him in a card board box in the back of the truck but he keep getting out. So I put him in the back seat, but he wouldn't quite squealing and he pee'd all over my new seats. So I pitched him out the window at about 70 mph..........But he didn't suffer, a semi hit him coming the other way and it was all over.
As for the "Gator", I was supposed to meet this guy, who was a friend of one of my brother inlaw's friends who had a lot of experience catching gators for a small fee. He was to be at the Waffle House ten miles down this state road next to a big pig farm.I waited for two hours on him to show, but he didn't. However I did get a lot of "Pig Shit" on my new tires of which I priority mailed you bag full(double wrapped because the post office made me)Please check it for bugs before you take it inside and if you want to share it with Nuts that's cool..........Charlie

I think you ought to trade the Versys and get a BMW R1200GS Adventure.

Nuts,
I like the Lightning, but unless your going to keep a touring job. The Lightning is going to come up short trying to go double duty.
As far as a 1 or 2hundred mile burn, you can't beat it........Charlie

Ya'll are cracking me up.(as if I wasn't cracked up enough already)

Nuts, I thought that thing looked familiar. I have to agree with Charlie, though. I wouldn't plan any trips to Canada on it. If you can add it to the existing stable, I say go for it.

Always adding! I must have a tourer in the barn. I once rode the Lightning to Culpepper and back in one day; thought I was going to have to amputate the left forearm. That clutch pull and the seat had me wincing for mercy. Fond memories of that Lightning my friends!NUTS

All that pain is character building. As you get older you will find you have stored enough character to last a life time.

Woos!
I have to say, I have had no problems with the clutch pull on "yeller". In the garage it seems a bit stiff, but when it matters, it's totally a non-issue. Several 200+ mile days, and 3 trips to VIR, no complaints.(other than the seat)

Oh...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Ye with no bikes can demand NOTHING! I'd rather have bikes with rubber kickstands and Charlie reminding me every post than to find myself with a brand new ATV that I can't get "all dirty".

I layered up and took "Scarlett" out for a 7 mile ride today. It was indeed worth it, but my hands are still froze! NUTS

Thanks for the well wishes fellas'.
Charlie,
The package showed up while I was sleeping the other day. The kids thought it was brownie mix and whipped up a batch of homemade goodness. Since my kids are just naturally kind and generous they packed them up and sent them back to you C.O.D.
If you get a chance right them a letter to let them know you enjoyed their efforts

Yea, Va Tech came up a little short, Kansas was a strong team that they haven't played before. They earned their win, another game might be different. Look at the two Boston College games.
The only way I could handle a steady diet of bowling would be if I could work on the ball returns for them.
After chasing that Armadillo, I think we ought to go into "Dillo" racing. That would be action packed and full of unexpected surprises. And we could recruit Nuts to be our retriever.

Aren't I already the mascot?

One more afternoon in the woods today and deer season will be put to rest. Then I can re-focus on motorbikes full-time! Just got some new gloves and a new helmet yesterday.

Who was it that said the Versys wouldn't last to the new year? I'll be taking the seat next week to be raised 2 inches; for that "ulyesque" seating position. NUTS and "Slowpoke Rodriguez" are hoping to see 20k miles before the end of August. I only did 15k last year on all the bikes; time to buckle down.
