Jason...Whoops, almost forgot Part II of the program. You need to also convey that the "Law of Diminishing Returns" applies. Otherwise, she won't let you back in later.

Bill & anyone else that gives a shit, a reminder that Racine Harley has their open house tomorrow..sat the 14th from 11-4:00. They are located right on highway 20 & oakes rd. Maybe 3 miles or so east of I-94. Free food, music, etc. They always have some pretty decent bikes, but its the custom cars that are the real attention getter. Very very nice collection of muscle cars as well as street rods always show up.

Plus its also 20% off on parts & clothes.

CJ you were looking for that leather dress right? Nows the time to get it:D

You must have me confused with Char or Brittney Spears, I don't have the figure for something like that Dude !! Show me the T-shirts, more my style anyway !!

Won't be able to make West Bend Blastin, I'll have to kick your A$$ on the track another day :)

I'm going to Alpine Valley to see Bon Jovi Saturday, hoping to still be able to get up on Sunday for the ride, but if I'm not there, assume I'm sleeping soundly !!

Any word on the guy who went down at B-Trax?
Last I heard was probable dislocated ankle.

For those who weren't there (which is almost everybody since there were less than a dozen people riding) a guy who just happened to be in the area while out on a ride (up from Illinois) joined in on his newer XB9S. Still new to the bike he was a little cautious on the course, which is fine since everyone should stay within their own comfort zone. Well, the main competition started, two XB9S's only so they went head to head. I think it was his second lap, maybe his third, as he finished the 360° he whacked the throttle across the finish line. Carried a bit too much speed, slammed on the brakes, locked up a tire, tagged the fence boards and fell to his right side landing the bike on his leg. Someone (not sure who) lifted the rear of the bike off his leg, Jerry/Blastin lifted the front of the bike (cutting his own finger in the process of helping) and set the bike off to one side. I dialed 911, said we have a bike down in a parking lot, send paramedics, got transferred to the WestBend P.D., repeated everything I already said.

The only blood was from Jerry's finger, amazing how much a small cut can bleed. Jerry, did you need stitches?

Once the paramedics left the event orgainzer asked if we in the remaining M2/S3 group still wanted to finish. We said yes. I said I'm guaranteed at least a 3rd place (out of three). So we finished. I need better tires, or maybe new tires on the S2, how good are S2's in B-Trax anyway when compared to stock M2's?

Anyway, apart from the crash it was a nice lightly attended day. And as we were helping to put the gear away we even got a parade. A Lady's of Harley ride group road past and around the dealership and in front of us, wavin' and smilin' and off they went into the sunset back the way the came. Oh well.

Hope the 9S rider is okay, or at least doing a little better. And hopefully he found a ride back to Illinois and has a way to get his bike home as well. I didn't see what level of damage the bike sustained, just heard one person say it tagged the frame a bit.

Ride safe. Hope the Sunday ride went well. Somebody post a ride report.
bye.

(ps, I may be parting out the M2 if anyone is interested in parts. Nothing wrong with it, just need to reorganize the finances and have the S2 to ride. ping me for details if interested in the parameters of the process.)

So you & Jerry were the only ones there from the chapter? Who was the "battlemaster"?

Did anyone go on the ride yesterday?

No stiches required, just a little tiny chunk of skin missing, no biggie. It's just a little tougher typing with a piece of tape around your finger.

It was kind of nice having a small number of bikes Saturday. Just keep going round and round. My pegs weren't thanking me very much though.:)

Bill showed up around noonish or so as an observer on his way to play around HolyHill.

I didn't catch the BattleMaster's name, but he had a bit of a southern accent (that should narrow it down some ;)). Nice guy, had a temp-plated XB9S he was riding.

Fastest bikes of the day were an M2 and S3T (without the bags) at around 40 seconds. I think the best time of the day was around 39.17 or so. I got down into the 43's and my tires were starting to slide a bit. The course had a nasty zig-zag towards the end that was almost a full-lock turn (at least it felt like it was). Only tar strips that came into play were on the back straight and turn around loop, and they weren't too much of a concern, then there were some tar snakes in the final circle that if you swung too wide were a definite problem so you had to stay tight towards the one side of the cone to clear them.

One of the spectators somehow thought we were all part of a traveling crew that put on exhibitions across the country. I explained that we were mostly just a bunch of locals who liked to have some fun on the bikes is all.

Just picking mikej !! It was a nice day for a ride, the roads were nice, and the people good fun. But I suck with names, so I really shouldn't post about who went, but we had 6 bikes, 7 people, one new guy from Hartford I think, and one extra person joined us for lunch !!

We had lunch in Delavan, Delafield ?? Most took 94 back to Milwaukee from there I think. Does that help at all ??

All

I'm looking to add about 2 inches to the seat of a Blast (it's already the standard seat) . .. anyone know of a place in the Chicago/Milwaukee area that will do it sometime before September (Alligator Bob's business has apparently gotten really good!)

thanks
