You got to understand it costs lots of $$$ to change or supercede a part number , then they claim it's a NEW and IMPROVED part, but, if you carefully peel off the new part number tag you will more than likely find the old part number underneath..... | ||

Hmm...I haven't run across that keef...not with H-D parts anyway. Now some of the "aftermarket stuff" is a different story. Like the V-twin parts. Alot of those are genuine H-D (old stock) parts stuck into a V-twin box. I've seen that several times and it's no big secret I don't guess. A superceded number either means its a different manufacturer that they are getting the parts from, or as Keef said a "new and improved" part. If its the latter case, you can always tell a difference  Topeka uses the exact same inventory system as we do. Dave can prolly hook ya up with a BWB discount though...  | ||

Well... who made it home dry... those with more than two wheels need not reply! I made it... but by the time I got my helmet off after rolling into the carport... it started and poured buckets... I don't think Fuscat made it... he had about 5 minutes more traveling to do after I turned off I-70. Maybe I should have gone a bit faster since I was leading... Sorry Fuscat!!! I told my fiancee I would make it home before it started raining... she did not think so... and said my timing was unbelievable... almost rolling into the carport as the clouds broke open! I had to gloat!! | ||

Holy crap I just got done cleaning up! I got hammered! lol Right after I got past QT it broke. and I mean CUT LOOSE! I was drenched. That 5 minutes turned into about 12 or 13 minutes. I could barely see and I was going about 15 mph the wind hit hard and i was driving in water so the back end was just weaving!! Very intense my damn helmet was just fogged over I had to pull over and it let up just as I did so I went on home. Good Times! Tripper...Where are you staying at Deal's Gap next week?...Mostly we'll be at DGMR...The STL crowd will be in LATE Thursday evening...I'm thinking probably by midnight but it may be even later...It's up to how I can keep this herd moving along or if they want to make a bunch of stops... I'm installing the PIAA 910's on the ST13 this Saturday just in time for some serious night riding / critter dodging... Frank...You could either ride here Wednesday evening and sleep LATE Thursday givin our planned 1400 departure from STL or leave Thursday morning from KC but that would make for a VERY loooong day...Pick your poison... Great rate too! I will arrive mid-day Friday and stay thru Sunday. My wife has figured out that she would be watching a bunch of bikes race away, so is staying home.
