The same for me. I am trying to re-schedule my delivery for after 12:00 so I have the morning free.

Detroit and back sounds cool. This time we should hit exit 10 and go redland instead. More turns and a little quicker.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks for another great ride today. Paul you are one difficult rider to keep up with, but it was fun and my rear tire is now only about 1/8" form the edge. Now if they would re-pave that stretch of road it would be awesome.

With fog issues in the mornings going forward this Fall and Winter, what do you guys think about making the Saturday ride meet-up later, say 11:00 or so. Suggestions?

Mark we missed you.

Wow guys, thanks for another great ride. I found a sports bar to eat lunch and catch some of the Ducks game and then rode some more. Love that sunny weather!

Jim- thanks for stopping and running them off with me. I only realized after the fact that I split you off from the group. Sorry, that was rude on my part.

Can't wait to ride with you all again soon.

Since today may be the last Sunny afternoon for a while I plan on doing a 3:00 ride.

I want to put some more break in miles on my bike so I will head back through Vernonia and this time continue through Mist and over to Clatskanie. It's really the best part of the ride (Mist to Clatskanie)

If interested give me a call on my cell 503 504 3568.

Sorry I missed you folks. And this time I really did just miss you!

Rode up I-5 from Salem in the fog - wet and chilled by the time I got to Tigard. Left too late (excess prefunction coffee) , but was hoping to catch the group at Gators before your departure. Went wrong way on Hwy99 (I took 217 from I-5 and then headed south/west)... and it was about 9:30am when I rode through the Gators parking lot looking for Buells.

So, being "all dressed up with no place to go", I dropped by the BMW motodealership to browse, buy a couple of Beemer items, and get serious glares from the sales staff when I thundered into the parking lot on XB! Interesting to be on that side of the biker prejuduce equation, especially considering the bucks I've spent on BMWs over the years... and yesterday I was even wearing t-shirt from this year's Oregon BMW rally!

Decided to grace downtown PDX with Drummer SS resonance, and Pearl District, and the complete circumference of Lake Oswego. There's a latent badboy wannabe thing with this mid-40s middle class guy!

Finally, met my wife & kid during their "posh shopping" at Bridgeport Plaza and lunch at PF Chang's. Not much technical sport riding, but good to get out in the fresh air.

Considering the fog, later meeting time would be appreciated.

OK, Later meeting time is being bantied about frequently. Lets make it so...

The way I see it we have two options, Either meet for Breakfast later (When does the breakfast special expire?) or we could ride then meet at Gators for Happpy hour? I definetly think "winter hours" are in order, but also like the consistency fo a standard time and place to kick off se its just a show and go, no check in required.

Anyone have a clue as to the weather for next Saturday? I'mm off to the east coast at the ass crack of dawn tomorrow, home friday.

So far Rain next Saturday.

A ride followed by Happy hour might not be a bad idea. For those that don't know, Gators offers $2.99 appetizers during Happy hour from 4:00 pm - 7:00pm.

Today was a blast and no fog. Even included some off road riding.

Brady, you would have felt right at home with the TT, gravel and some packed mud.

hey guys, I'm back in town, woo hoo, sadly I missed all the good weather. Where I was, it was 70 and sunny most of my trip, but I didn't have my bike with me so it didn't make much difference. I'm good with a later meet time, and I need to get out and ride at least one more time between now and the end of the year. Getting the fiancee to let me go is starting to get more difficult, and of course my little girl is not fond of me leaving for half the day. But I need my 2 wheel time, and I'm anxiously awaiting the next day that doesn't suck so I can go.

Jeremy, get some good cold weather gloves and liner in your leathers and there will be a lot of good dry winter afternoons for riding. (At least last winter there was)

I remember Paul and I getting all excited when the sun came out and the frost melted away with high of 36 degrees last December. We were good for about a two hour ride before fingers started to go numb as the sun started to drop back down.

Aron, so what do you think of your new bike? Did you put your new can on yet? Do you feel faster with that 150hp?

I love it. Very smooth and fun to ride. No new can yet. Still love the Buell as well though. I have been riding to work all week on my Buell (rain and all). Still love that 1st gear torque. New tires will not be in until Nov 13th (out of stock) Oh well. I guess I will see how many miles the Road Attacks can really give me. Should be pushing 7000 miles by then.

Am I faster! Depends on the situation and where I am riding. It's more comfortable at higher speeds then then Buell which makes it easier to ride fast in the right situation. For example road trips, long sweepers.

Being able to go from 50 - 120 without shifting or bouncing off the rev limiter while maintaining decent torque is fun too.

Now if we were just riding the twisites its probably a wash for me and the Buell would take the lead with an experienced rider due to quicker turn in and better lean angle. I guess the center stands robs a couple of degrees.

Yes my wife has been very nice to me.

I have close to 800 miles so far. Couple hundred more and I can start beating on her.

Well I rode a whole whopping 140 miles today in world record pace of 5 hours. But it was still nice to get out and see some new roads.

Towards the end I couldn't it anymore and broke off from the group and hit 214/219 home from Woodburn.

Hard to tell. I think the only way to really tell is to go WOT. If nothing else its 11 lbs of weight reduction. I think I need to open up the air box next.

Now that I have her broke in though it's scary fast above 10k RPM. I am used to my Buell running out of steam around 110 mph (still accelerating but not all that quickly).

With this bike it feels like its still trying to pry me off the seat at 130 and it gets there in a hell of a hurry and I still have two gears left.

My brother just got to take his CBR1000RR up a little toward it's top end the other day, I got a text message that read the following: "171 indicated" I had to do a double take before I understood, since an hour before we had been talking about his new house, talk about confused, that's a fast house. I just wonder, once you've gone that fast, how do you get the bugs out of your teeth or are they just a part of you after that?

As for me, I just quit my job, looking for something better and hope to start school to get a degree and get a real job.

Aron,

I think that sounds great. Nothing like some AM inspiration and a spirited ride to follow!
Count me in.
