Yeah, or you'll find me on the side of the
road flat on my as5... I hate the "chattery" brakes.

Sorry man, can't make it, even though I want to go so freakin' bad. I've gone through my second set of tires this season, saving up for a new set and a No-Mar tire changer (hey, I just realized that spells raMoN backwards-weird).

You'll be able to come to my house to change tires if you want - I owe you a few changes after all.

On Brakes: The rotor appears to be pretty clean, the Lyndalls take care of the deposits. I'll give the Brakekleen a shot anyway.

For those of you that were wondering.. or hadn't seen the OGhdBuell thread.. I'll lead a run up there from the NoVa area. I tossed out the idea of leaving from Patriot.. just 'cause we can.. Or we can choose an area closer to Dulles or whatever.

Check the thread for more (a little) info.

Ras,

I have a no-mar I'm thinking about selling. I'll make you a good deal on it. With the powder coating biz starting to take off I don't have the floor space for the No-mar anymore.

Scott,

I was upset not to see you or Alysia (I think that was her name) when I went back to pick up my bike. Definitely keep in touch on the postings here. I will be out to ride more (I hope) now that my work/school schedule is changing. I'm near Wilmington, DE for anyone that is up for a ride every now and again. I wish Mikes HD had some Buell stuff because it isn't but 4 miles from the house.

This weekend I'll be going through the route for the 27th from Frederick to Laurel and back.

I've ridden most of it, usually going in different directions, just not how I have it planned.

Looking for at least one volunteer to ride along with me this Sat.

When: Saturday October 13th @ 10 am
Where: Frederick HD to Old Glory HD and back.

Just an FYI

1996/7 Buell Cyclone M2 , Blue, Vanson Hines exhaust, K&N air intake for sale at M&S Harley, Chambersburg PA 3000

I didn't get the mileage tonight or a chance to test ride it, but if anyone is looking for one, it looks to be in great shape. I thinking of taking a long lunch break tomorrow to test ride it and will let you know. This bike was a trade in and they don't like having anything but HD on their lot/showroom so it can probably be stolen for substantially less than tagged.

I picked the bolt up last wednesday and today it won't run. It will start and idle for seconds before bogging out. When I picked it up there was a cap and a bolt missing and the oil drain plug wasn't tight so I was marking my territory at the house and at work. Buell of Balt needs Scott back. Are they trying to get rid of the Buell line? It seems that the service writers that are there don't know too much about them.

Scott call me 703 863 9874 please.

If anyone knows where I can get a voltage regulator compatible with an 06 XB12, let me know.

The bike's back in the shop (after 700 mi), engine light, loss of instruments, then dying shortly thereafter.

Thanks.

Nope, they can do nothing to my bike without one. It's the last part of the charging system that hasn't been replaced.

Ras,
Tracy Martin just penned a book on trouble shooting motorcycle electrics. I would shoot him an e-mail you can get it on the Total Control web site. I bet he could point you in te right direction. K

Its service time for both of my Buells and since the last thread on the subject I don't know if I should continue to go to Baltimore. My XB needs the 10,000 mile service and my old tuber needs the 30,000 mile service any suggestions where to go. I'm very particular who services my tuber and need to find a Buell tech who knows them and worked on them before. K

I too will be needing the 10k mile service done on my XB. Does anyone know what a dealer typically charges for this? I was planning on doing the easier stuff myself with the help of my service manual. I still need to see what all the 10k mile service includes.

Babi , the last time I was in Annapolis I was told the service manager owns an X1,I haven't really had too much done there except for my initial service a few years ago. Might want to give them a try or else
go to Fredrick.

On the other hand ,does anyone know what Scott is doing? He could be the LT Snyder of Buells.

Scoot where ya at??????????

I'd still go there. As a matter-a-fact I'll be there in a couple days for front and rear skins. the Labor $ blows but the techs are good. I would ask for either Bryan, Scott K, or Lee to do the 10k's all other routine service can be done by most other techs. Just remember to look over the bike very good when you drop it off and pick it up. take a little ride up and down 40 to see if it runs good and feels better than when you dropped it off. if not go back ASAP do not wait. I'll miss looking over the Buells ( helping Buell owners out ).

if you would like to save a little $ go down the list in the back of your owners manual and do what you can. have the tech do all others like front fork oil, TPS, this could save you as much as $350-400 crabs. Now that I no longer work there I can help you if needed and not get in trouble for it. Just call or better to post here and I'll set up a time to come and help.

Hey Scott Thanks for the information. I'm kind of loyal to them since I bought my first 2 Buells there. The XB I just want to drop it off, the X1 I'll change the oil and do what I can. I'm glad you gave me some names!
Lars Last time I had my X1 serviced at Annapolis Jimi Newtron dropped it, X1 was on the lift. I cried buckets
RAS I'm OFF on the 27th K

Babired,
I would still go to Baltimore for service. They have treated me well with the service on my Firebolt 12r. I usually ask for Julius (tech) to work on mine. He used to own a Firebolt. I am also particular about who works on my bike. He is very passionate about Buells. I can relate. Also, I think that Carl (service advisor) has a tuber. B
