A big mud puddle sounds like more fun than a car wash. I just have to find one...

I can reproduce a car wash outside the garage, with the hose.

Yea, but you won't get the looks and cheers that you would get at a car wash. Especially if your doing a wheelie.Charlie

Charlie,
Tank don't care about looks. I offered to hook him up with some S100 to clean up his soiled Lightning and he declined.
I swear, I just don't understand you guys who ride for enjoyment instead of the attention of young, buxom lasses .
As Tank can attest to one of my favorite rides is Wiley Drive where the speed limit is only 15MPH. Go slow, blip the throttle and get the attention of all the gals out for their evening jog HEHEHE.

NUTS is back. 6 states and another country altogether logged. Bike dropped ZERO times. I'll post more substantially later.

So NUTS and Pops headed out for the other Virginia(West by doG to some of you). Camped at Seneca Rocks for the night. Morning had us headed for Ohio where we eventually made it through the urban sprawl and industrial craplands to a very nice State Park for the night. On into Pennsylvania early in the a.m. with visions of Lake Erie by lunch.

Riding through the vineyards with the lake to the north was a memory never to be forgotten. The smell of grapes smacked you straight through the stench of a sweaty helmet. We followed the lake into The Empire State (NY) and hammered through Buffalo. A fine hotel was lodging for the night and a hearty all-u-can-eat buffet was assaulted. Three helpings of prime rib, crab legs, shrimp, swordfish, and three helpings of dessert for good measure.

Bright and early we made the US/Canada border and I all but wheelied across! No, no firearms to declare. We go to see the falls in all of their glory amids the thousands of other tourists.

All for now, I'm still beat and have a squirreling agenda to tend to. But here's some pics.

Tried to post last night but...

Very cool trip Nuts!(monkey butt)

Took the two other founding members of "HRH" out through my "best ride round' here" ride last weekend. Mike said the roads are definitely better than the southside. 75 miles of some smiles, and some straight stuff to get there. The best ride I have put together so far. Hard on a rider with some straights to re-coup.

It's yall's turn, but I will come back. Sooner rather than later.

Jackie,
Can you do lemon juice? And vegetable oil?
If so, mix 50/50, and marig-nate the hammered chicken breast for about 30min, then grill. Good stuff. And healthy.(salt the mix if desired)

Tank,
May give that a try!
I am pretty tired of plain chicken breast since I eat 5 a day 2x a week.
So far I have found some pretty good healthy meats that have been a much needed break from chicken.
Turkey breast (tastes like pok' chops when pan fried).
Ostrich (my favorite!)
Buffalo (good but 11gr fat per serving)
Fish (some good some bad)
And finally tons o' egg whites with one whole egg.
In 5 weeks I've only lost 6-7 pounds but I think I might be improving my muscle to fat ratio. At least I feel better and I guess that is ultimately what matters.

I am thinking of getting rid of the Honda and getting a BMW F650. That way I can use it for light trails and go on some long distance rides/camping trips with the Nutbag.
Ya'll know we ain't ever happy with what we have and it's my turn for a new toy !

Did everybody die in a plane crash or something? Been checking the newspapers but haven't read anything yet.
I know you guys are having all the fun, lets hear about it.
Jackie, did the squirrels attack and kill you will you while you were taking a nap in the woods?
Tank, Did you get gunned down racing through ghetto?
And Nuts is probably off cavorting with the metric guys, so much for loyalty.Charlie

Managed to dodge that bullet(s),
and really, there aint too much "racing through" anywhere, pimpin' the 22ft Chevy work van.

I did manage to run across another "deal-o-the-century" last weekend on e-slay.

Picked up an IBM Thinkpad R40 with 2gig pentium IV, upgraded to 512Mb ram, and an internal wi-fi card for $295. It's got XP Pro and a full version of Microsoft Office 2007.

I picked up a "docking station" for it($14) which has a full compliment of ports, including the infamous RS232 serial port, so I won't have to muck with the USB adapter for the VDSTS cable.

Charlie,
Still alive and intact despite Nuts trying to off me. He'd find random spots yesterday and say "jump this" or "can you make it up that hill?". That dude is trying to kill a brutha'!
Luckily I avoided most of his taunting and decided the risks outweighed the benefits.
Ya'll should have seen him trying to miss all the mud holes that were everywhere we turned. Big cry baby doesn't realize he robbed himself of half the fun of off roading .

I gotta tell ya'll about when we took Jasons' Pop hunting with us. He was along as a spectator and what a spectacle it was!
First shot Ole' Nuts lets loose and misses from 15 yards. Next shot he misses at 20 yards. Final shot for him and he knocks one out of the tree never to be seen again.
So I'm up and figure it is time to show him up in front of his dear ole' dad. Bang, miss from 15 yards. Second shot, miss from 20 yards. Final shot I knock the squirrel out of the tree and it has the nerve to run right back up completely unscathed! An exact replay off Nuts' sorry performance.
All told we let loose 6 shots and had nothing to show for our efforts. His dad just sat there shaking his head at our pathetic performance.
Saturday brings archery seaon and I am curious to see just how many arrows we can lose before finally connecting with a deer. In all reality the deer will probably get run over by a truck before we connect with one .

Tank,
You better lay off that Ebay man. It has become an addiction and will lead you astray. I wasn't going to mention the story you told me about getting outbid on a slightly used case of ladies thong underwear (size XXXL) but you are leaving me no choice but to air it out so the fellas can lend you the support you so desperately need!

What the hell are ya'll shooting with?...

Rocks from a sling shot????

Where did the rounds end up? Like 10 miles away in some backyard inflatable pool??

Not really makin fun...

Tank,
If you think these guys are fun to go riding with, I can only bet they would keep us in stitches on a hunting trip. AH, is it still a "hunting trip" if you can't hit anything, just asking. I would think after Pop's seeing you guys at your finest, would be a little nervous hitting the woods with a pair of "Robin Hoods".I've seen a lot of snorting bucks in the woods, but I don't think I've ever seen one racing thru the woods cracking up.
God you guys make me hate this place, ya'll just having too damn much fun....Charlie

Actually fellas' we use rimfire rifles to make it more challenging. Apparently sometimes it makes it too challenging .
We rode up to the club tonight and shot a few arrows at the target. As it stands if a deer crosses us at 30 yards or less we are gonna have dinner. Course' the way Nuts fidgets while we are waiting we will be lucky to get one within 200 yards. He makes more noise than a flock o' turkeys!
Nice boy but about as sharp as a sack of wet mice .

Jackie,
I would have thought you would be using the MKIV Ruger. That's what I bought mine for, although I really didn't get much of a chance to use it.One of these days I'm gonna go squirrel hunting again..........Maybe. I also like to use my Marlin lever action w/big scope(old mans glasses)bought in 1960, older than both of you.Charlie

Nuts,
Those tires are about worn out now, have you thought about the new BMW HP2 SPORT? That is an impressive looking machine. They call it their endurance model, but that seat"ouch". At 30K your gonna have to go a couple of sets of tires.Charlie

Charlie,
I think Ole' Nuts is going to be holding on to this bike for a while. His toy addiction has become more expensive and he has set his sights even higher this time around. I am sworn to silence but if you ask him nicely he might spill the beans .

As far as why I don't use the Ruger pistol goes, I sold it and some other guns to buy the dirtbike. I thought that would be the smartest financial thing to do. Course' I turned around and starting replacing them with ones I liked better a month later! So much for being responsible.

Your not trying to tell us there is going to be a little Nuts jr. are you.
What kind of diesel are you going to get that cheap, most that I have seen are in the 40K and up.
This could put a real crimp in your escapades.
Can you get a molded tank with a car seat in it? Do they make helmets that small? This is going to be an adjustment. I'll be up to collect my cigar.............Charlie

Charlie, As I said "NO, we do not need one yet!" I would like to get into a new truck next year while we are Juniorless. Like Pops says "pay now or pay later."

There are 4 Ford diesels in my family. My Pops' 1990, 4 door, 4x4 has 200k on it and nary a motor problem. He has a diesel Excursion as well that he's getting 19 mpg out of. Both my brothers ave Ford Super Duty diesels; so that kind of puts me in a bind.....

......Cause I want the Dodge with the Cummins diesel! Pops said that would be acceptable; however a Chevy or GMC is completely unwelcome anywhere he'll be.

Mrs. NUTS signed the first part of her new job contract yesterday so we'll be rooted in Roanoke's warm embrace for a good while.

Damn it Nuts, Im running out of things to harass you over. Your killing one of my favorite sports.
I have to agree with your Pops, I'm a long time Ford truck guy, no diesels though.Nothing against diesels, just never needed one.
I just bought another F-150 ext.cab in June. An FX2 Sport 5.4L, so I can't rag you on looking at Fords.
Just one question before I go, can you keep a vehicle for 200K miles?Charlie
