Wow, what I wouldn't give to have a stable like that. I am a bit curious though, why do you have the F4I? It seems like the CBR600RR would be a duplicate.

Ahh, that makes more sense. Not that I have anything against having a stable full, I was just curious. It is like owning an XB12 and an XB9, they may seem very similar to others, but they are totally different to the rider.

This Sunday (weather permitting) the Celtic Motorcycle Club is hosting their annual Spring Poker Run. Details at http://www.celticmcc.com/pokerrun2007.html

These guys always find the most AWESOME twisty roads and if you like riding those kinds of roads you owe it to yourself to participate. I'd also like to point out that the "After Run Party" at their clubhouse features some of the best food I've ever had at a motorcycle event.

I know what I'll be doing this Sunday... hope to see you all there too!

Well, I don't know if anyone from this board took my advice and did the Celtic Poker run, but if you didn't you missed 140 miles of beautiful, twisty roads through Rockland and Westchester County followed by their usual feast (Shepherd's Pie!!!) at their clubhouse at the end (with the AMA Races on their flat screen TV). Awesome!!

OK...today I
1.) changed the oil
2.) Added 8 more HP to the damn bike by doing THIS
3.) Put on Fender Eliminator
4.) Cleaned and waxed the chain
5.) Put on my new blue pitbull spools
6.) Adjusted throttle and clutch cables and tightened all nuts and bolts on the bike and checked for any leaks

Who says you can't do the 600 mile service yourself and then some...without paying the stealerships hundreds?

Well, about six of us made the trip across the Throgs Neck Bridge to New Roc Buell today for the demo truck. Unfortunately, they were all out of the messenger bags when we got there! Still, I finally had a chance to ride the Super TT. It felt pretty much just like my Lightning Long (no surprises there).

I took a Firebolt for a spin and noticed that the higher pegs make it easier to lock your legs into the "tank" for cornering. I still prefer the seating position of the Lightning, but now I understand why people who ride on the track prefer the Firebolt.

Did anyone else make it up to New Roc Buell this weekend?

Super TT

Hey, where are all the Long Island Buellers?? This Sunday, June 10, is the 7th Annual "Pop's Run" motorcycle road rally. We've picked out some roads that Sport Bikers in general (and Buellers in particular) will love, so we hope to see you! The weather looks promising, too! For information, see http://www.popsrun.org/

Anybody up for this Sat. from about 9:30ish till 3:00ish? Lemme know if ur interested and we'll either set up a meeting point at Comp.USA @ Roosevelt Field or Circuit City on 347 in Lake Grove or both. Maybe goin out to Montauk Pt. or Orient Point.... I think the shower we had Sunday morning discouraged a lot of people from showing up at Pop's Run. Nevertheless, the rain ended before sign up officially began and the day was overcast but pleasant. Actually, PERFECT motorcycle weather, as it wasn't too hot, and the sun wasn't blasting your eyes.

Everyone enjoyed the ride and the checkpoint activities, and had a great time at the end site rocking with the Ralphie Ray Band and Q104.3 Classic Rock radio! We did have ONE BadWebber join us though, and we were happy to see him!

Make sure you put us on your calendar next year!

Constance

It's that time of year again! The Ramapo 500 will be held the weekend of July 14 & 15th upstate New York. Two days, 500 miles of twisty back roads with a campout/party in between (hotels are available at your expense). Price includes dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning, and camping at the halfway point. For details, see http://www.ramapomc.org/RAMAP007.pdf

I know a couple of you took my advice last year and had a great time. Different roads/mid point every year! Hope to meet some of you next month!

My sincerest apologies to all for my having 'advertised' a free antique motorcycle show being produced by a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational corporation.
Rest assured, this insensitive act will not be repeated by myself or any agent of the non-stock not-for-profit educational corporation in question.
thanks for understanding, and, again, please accept my sincerest apologies
(i attempted to delete the original threads, but could only delete my responses. if any custodians would be so helpful as to delete all of the 'advertisements' which I'd posted for this event, I'd be very thankful. again, my sincerest heartfelt apologies for this act)
