thinking of flying in on Friday afternoon and and flying out on Sunday late afternoon/evening. I am going to use skymiles so it doesn't matter what airport I fly into. If I can pull this off, I will be flying in from either Providence or Boston. It's just the destination that I don't know about. I can pretty much fly into the airport of my choice. I would love to go to this event but with a kid on his way I have to start watching my vacation time. That's the main reason why I can't drive down with some of the others that are coming from the north. | ||

I'm thinking that I may just rent a car from Atlanta and drive to Suches. That way I won't have to bother any more that I need to. What's the closest large airport to Suches? | ||

Glitch, Tell Shred we should be at TWO by around 8 am setting up camp and fixing breakfast. I will definately be bringing the 08 Bolt... not sure if I will have room for the 98 S1W and I know I have no room for the drum kit! | ||

What better way to get the XB broken in! I've got to talk to Shred tonight, I'll give him the head's up. I'm hoping to get there by 10ish. Damnut, Looks like Chattanooga TN is only 109 miles away, going by google maps. Atlanta is 80, but that would put you in the thick of the 6th worse congested traffic in the nation. The difference in time going by google is only 45 minutes, I'd bet they don't factor in Friday traffic. Greenville SC is 121 miles away, and the time listed is the same as Chattanooga. Hope this helps, we'd really like to see you be able to make it. | ||

Damnut - I can trailer it down for you. I'm leaving Sunday September 30. I can come down on Saturday the 29th to load up. As far as you flight goes...if you can fly into Charlotte on Thursday afternoon/early evening I'm going to be at CLT anyway dropping of the sales guy for his flight home to Texas and then hitting the road for Suches (4.5-5 hours). We would be up and riding Friday morning! I take it the knee is back to fine riding order? Give me a call at home tonight...if you're back in the country...otherwise shoot me a pm... | ||

Knee is still swollen but good enough to ride. I just can't "hammer down" like I would like to. Doc says 12 weeks for the ligament to heal. I had surgery on 8/15 so it's still healing. Let's just say I won't be putting my left knee down anytime soon.  | ||

damnut, not sure what were doing for right now and won't know until the last minute depending on what come's up with a job but if you fly into chattanooga, if nothing else, hertz does have a weekend deal for like 15 bucks a day on a small car. check it out if nothing else. btw are there going to be any woman riding down there. if we do make it down, the wife will be riding the blast and i'll be on the lighting(xb) | ||

Damnut - I've finished mapping out my drive and I'll be going home through Charlotte as well so I could drop you back at CLT on my way. I double checked the route and time and it is only a 220 mile drive from Charlotte to Suches more like 3-3.5 hours. Start looking up flights and let me know...I need to figure out my stops on the drive home and can't do that till I know if I'm hitting the airport at a certain time or not. | ||

Mr_gto, I was wondering if you were going to make it. I am either coming down Thursday night or early Friday morning. I know that Etennuly, Orangulius, 86129squids, Gotj, and a few others are leaving out from Maryville Friday morning. Check with Etennuly on the schedule. I hope to get to meet you.
