Jeez Josh, that sucks...But I hope you guys feel better soon...We'll miss you...I'm going to let everyone decide if they want to stop at the Riverdock in Hardin for lunch or go on to Niehaus...If there are some splitting at Hardin to head down to the track day at Gateway, I thought this might give us a chance to have lunch with them...

See Ya!

From this weekend at Eureka Springs, AR.

BOb and his ST1300 Bob and ST1300

DAve and the NukedDemon DAve and the NukedDemon

Fantastic roads and terrific accommodations. The rain sucked but oh well. I even managed to drag a peg or two....loose my ATM/Visa card, and drop my bike in the parking lot (that's the 3rd time now)

I'm ready to go back to AR!

DAve...Thanks for posting the pics and I know what you mean re going back to AR...If any of you are serious and want to go down there now is the time to do so as it will soon be really hot...AR is great in the spring and fall but gets kinda uncomfy in the summer and the altitudes are not high enough for relief, unlike the Smokies...As a matter of a fact, this coming weekend is good for me as there are no HSTA rides planned...It will be a problem getting into Iron Horse Stables as there is a big blues thing on this weekend (not last as I mistakenly thought)...I think I've got enough rear tire left for one more trip...I've got about 4,100 miles on the tires...

DAve, I really enjoyed your company last weekend and it was fun to see you enjoy the roads...The rest of you that have never been, you just can't believe how good the road surfaces get as soon as you cross into AR...And we were commenting on how consistent they were from county to county, unlike MO...DAve rode Push Mountain (AR341), AR123, and back in MO 19 for the first time and also KK...

See Ya!

Sounds like you guys had a great time! Sorry, Bob, I wouldn't be able to put anything together for this weekend. I am currently limping along a rear tire until monday when it arrives. Plus I have my daughter friday night until she leaves for STL on Saturday for a dance competition.

I would love to check out this part of the country. Could we maybe plan something way in advance for this fall. That way everyone would have plenty of notice and we may be able to get a large group between the KC guys and STL guys? Hell I'd even volunteer to ride down instead of trailering! :)

Are you speaking of the same MO19 that goes right through the current river area?? If we are talking about the same road, I have always wanted to run that on a bike!!!! It is an amazing road in a car I can't imagine how great it would be on a bike!! Dave, I must say that I am extremely envious now!!

Attention!

We will be moving the site to its own dedicated big bore server as well as implementing some significant BBS enhancements later this morning. The site will be offline starting between 8AM and 9AM. You may be able to continue to view the forum, but not post. If you are still getting the view-only forum by late afternoon, say 5PM, you might want to try refreshing your browser window and even shutting down and restarting your computer. If that doesn't work you might call your ISP, especially if it is a small local operation, and ask them to update their DNS (domain name server) files.

In the mean time I've asked the guys at SacBORG if they would be gracious enough to host a temporary surrogate BadWeB forum on their site. Just be forewarned that there are some very... uh... antagonistic Buell hating trolls there. Hopefully they'll leave well enough alone. If not, feel free to humiliate them with truth and grace. If you don't see a surrogate BadWeB topic there, assume it was not to be. I cannot imagine that since in truth, BadWeB is the Father of SacBORG, our illegitimate son. Kinda like the Darth/Luke scenario in reverse. LOL. Anyway, Chop and Eeeeek are great guys as are most of the others who hang there, so wish our sys-admin luck and I hope to see you back here tomorrow afternoon.

Bob,

Just a little advice. I rode D out of Louisiana 2 weeks ago. I think I would omit it! not very curvy. I think you would like it much better if you drop down on 79 to Clarksville and take W south from that point. W leaving Clarksville is very very nice!!! F from between 61 and W is also extremely nice.

Also on your trip into louisiana. UU is ok, Z is very good, HH from the south is nice in the beginning then becomes long and straight. NN looks really good on the map plotter but is not as good as it appears.

We will have 8 of us at the rally this weekend and we will be eating lunch in Louisiana also. We are going to the Lighthouse Inn. It is just accross the river from Louisiana on the IL side. It is a nice little Bar/restaurant at the marina. I'll call you sometime today and maybe we can meet up with you guys for lunch. Also if you are interested I can reverse our route and make a couple minor changes and you are more than welcome to join us riding between hannibal and Louisiana. We will finish in louisiana so that you don't have as far to go after we all break up for the day.

Keith

p.s. just trying to help out. I have been riding these rodes for the last 6 weekends and making notes on each one in an attempt to put together a route for those attending the rally.

Keith...Thanks for the suggestions and I will file them away...Unfortunately (or fortunately), First Saturday Ride is not my responsibility and Garth did the route...I have been to the Lighthouse several times and it was good...All the locals I spoke to in Louisiana recommend the Eaglesnest on the NE corner of 54 and 79...Our largest HOG chapter, Kirkwood, goes there quite a bit and they have even given Karen, the owner, a H-D flag to fly in front...Karen has a room that seats about forty and has that reserved for us so we're kinda committed but we could easily add your group in...I am calling her tomorrow before we leave the QT with a head count and could add your eight...Let me know what you wish...

See Ya!
