Ski...good to see ya post. I haven't been around much lately either. The ironic thing is I finally move to Phoenix and I've stopped riding. Life can kick ya in the balls every now and again. Ah well, things change and we roll on. Hope everything is well for everyone else!

Wazzupp beeeeoches?!?!?!? I'm still here!! Life has just gotten busy for the last few months.
I bought a new/old house late last year and I don't have to tell you it has been all time consuming. Things have been getting back to "normal" lately.
I finally got the girlfriend off the back of the Mille and onto her own bike. We picked up a new Ducati 695 Monster and after a few "incidents" she is riding the wheels off it.So most of the riding I've done lately have been leading her around at about 20% throttle. A little boring, but at least I can enjoy the scenery on rides now. I have made a few mostly cosmetic changes to the bike including new OZ wheels and a new exhaust. The new pipe is so loud it feels like I'm riding my old Buell. As soon as my tires come in I should be ready for a ride or three with ya'll.

Did I mention this is LOUD!!

Brian, Kobie,

What is up. Looks like we are going to have to bring this board back to life and get some damn riding in some weekend. Good to hear from you guy's, I'm starting to get back in the habit of checking the BadWeb, That tour to Oki really screwed me up as far as posting etc..And of course moving didn't help. But I'm back.

Good to see everyone posting again!
I may have to move back!
I will be in town the 12th of May with a bike, anyone wanna go to the Flats or something? Or maybe up to Christopher Creek?
Brian, that wet sidewalk looks like oil leaks under the bike, Doh !!!
Ski, yes, I got the numbers, and I'll email you info on the SpringFast ride when I get back into Albuquerque.
I'm out of town right now for another two weeks.
Y'all take it easy, and get some ride time in before that summer heat hits!

Bart, the 12th should work for me. I had the buell out this week and the dirt bike out today. I've been building a Blast for my wife and son to learn how to ride. All I need is a carb and it should be on the street, hope in about two weeks.

Wicked,

The 695 is a great bike for beginners and the vertically challenged to start on and actually grow into going fast on. Very light and quick handling with a motor that pulls good at low rpm and screams on the top end. Little sucker puts out over 70hp stock. After some mods it ought to put out almost 80 I'd hope. It is way under geared. I put on a 1 tooth smaller sprocket up front and after the chain goes I'll up the rear sprocket by 2 teeth then it ought to be about right. Even with the 1 tooth smaller front sprocket you don't need to shift to 6th until you hit 85 or so. I would expect this bike to easily keep up with a SV650 anywhere, even at the track. And that says a lot. It's priced right as well at about $7000 ish.
You still shopping around for a bike??

Sort of, the 695 was one I was looking at on paper, but hadn't read/heard of any reviews of it. I liked the 620 after it had been tuned and was really curious. Waiting to see how some things pan out at the moment before commiting to another bike, I mean its not like I don't have a 1098 sitting in the garage or anything...

...so it's a british 1098 made by Austin Healey...

You're welcome to come take a spin on it any time you like. It's 10 times the bike the 620 was.

Mikel,

If your considering taking the Mille for a spin, I highly recommend it. That sucker is fast. Of course the RC-51 I now have is pretty damn fast also. But of course, I still Love My XB9R.

Whoa whoa whoa!!! Back up the Buell truck! You got a RC-51?!?! I feel another high speed run through New Mexico comin on!
The GF and I took a spin up to Prescott Sunday. Beautiful day for a ride. LOTS of cops on all the good parts of the road. I barely got to scrub in the new Pilot Powers.
I saw a gold and black XB12R up there but I don't think it was don.
Prescott Brewing still make one mean buffalo burger!!

I have ridden a Mille and though it was alot of fun, it isn't what I am in the market for Ski, I was talking more about the Ducati 695.

I am not back on two as of yet, funds have this way of not being there when I need things to go right.

Anyways, I am not sure what our travel plans for June are yet, we have been doing alot of runs to L.A. of late and still don't have a bike, makes it difficult to do a bike run : )

amazing what you get when you whine loud enough, eh?
The spec sheet looks pretty good, I'm not to enthused about the radiator shroud, but then Buell was never one to look like the rest of the pack.
The price isn't too bad either!!!

Yes, I do have some space available, LOL.
I just picked up a '99 S3T a few months back along with a '94 Harley FXRS. (package deal)
With the hours I'm working at the moment, I should be able to afford the 1125R about the time they hit the Dealers.
I'll probably wait and see how the reviews come in though. I remember the '03 XB's.

Wycked, You interested in a cheap Honda CB750? It ran when I parked it down in Casa Grande about 5 yrs ago, but when I was out there in May I was tinkering with it, and the carbs are stuck solid from the old fuel, and the tires are dry rotted along with the seat... : (

Don,
No I never fell for the DOHC models, I was in love with the older SOHC 750's. The one I have in Casa Grande is a '72 or '74, I'm not sure. With an 836 kit, cam, kerker header, drag bars, etc.

theres an older pic of it, circa 1990, it has an F model front fender on it now, the barends are on a different bike now, and the headlight has been changed out with one from a newer model.
I may be letting my '95 CBR900 go also...
