Bill, any rides next weekend other than just the rally? the rally will probably consume a few hrs for me & thats about it. Not competeing in B-trax this yr as the reward doesnt justify the possible expense of dropping the bike.

Just wondering if everyone is gonna hang out at state fair park & not do much, or go for a ride.

Dyna...Don't know of any rides planned, but will be spending evenings and Saturday at the Milwaukee Rally. Want to see BattleTrax for the first time as well as the rally. Great entertainment at night and the women can't be all that bad.

Will post if I have a change of heart and go riding instead.

Road America is the same weekend. Would like to zip up and see the races, but will have to play that one by ear. Oh well, FUSA with be there in August with no conflicts yet.

Nope, not doing it this yr. If I screw up & drop the bike it will cost $$$ to fix it, hell my grips alone were $160. A ticket to Vegas rd trip is less than $170.

I will be there to cheer on my buds but I am staying outta the competition. Unless someone has a spare crappy old bike laying around:D

Usually in the morning with practice wrapping up around noon and the competition ending early after lunch depending on the number of participants and the weather. This is based on last years events and may be totally wrong. YMMV. At past events I've been able to leave my bike parked at the B-Trax location and not have to re-park it with the main mess mass of bikes, much easier to find it this way.

You could probably e-mail either Reg K. or if not then maybe Rick at Hal's would know.

(shoot, Bomber's been practicing, beat me by a half-second with that posting, I think I'm a goner at this year's events.);)

B'trax is in West Allis . . . . I assume that's not the Milwaukee Mile that is advertised in the Rally stuff (said the FBI, not entirely familiar with all the North of the Border lingo)

The Milwaukee Mile is located in West Allis. It is right next to the Wisconsin State Fair Park.

For all of you "Southern" folk heading up. If you taking the Super Slab in the Morning, just head up 894/45 to the Greenfield Ave. Exit and then head east to ~80th street to the Milwaukee Mile.

Jerry

They could just exit the confusing south leg of the I-43/I-45/I-41/I-94/I-894 freeway box/square and ride north on 76th after stopping at the Southridge area for coffee/burgers/bathrooms. Take 76th north to Greenfield to avoid the road construction on I-45 south of I-94. The roadway looked a little groovy in places a few weeks ago.

Another option is to stay on I-94 north/westbound since the 894 offramp was also closed a few weeks ago and I don't know if it's reopened yet. I-94 transitions into I-43. Take it over the high bridge and go west onto I-94, then follow that to the 76th street exit and go south to Greenfield and go west on Greenfield to the entrance on the south side of the MilwaukeeMile.

I do not like super-groovy freeway repaving on a bike.

I thought it was gonna be in the north east corner? Oh well, no matter. Its not that damn big that anyone is going to get lost.

I havent even looked at what day B-trax is. Sat or Sun?

Turn 1 is the southwest corner I believe.
I also believe B-Trax is Saturday.
In addition I believe it is time for a cup of coffee.

Thanks,

Brew city Braggers! The Ukes gang is going to have a small contingency (maybe 3 bikes) at Union Grove for the Harley series Wednesday night.....would be great to see some more Buells down there! Thought I'd pass the details on in case anybody is interested. Hope to see some of you down there!

Drag details....officially the event is from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. Due to the chilly night, last time they started a little earlier and finished up around 9:30pm...the better you do in the racing, the later you stay! You get open practice from 6:00 to 8:00 or soto get in as many runs as you can, Bracket Racing starts around 8:00pm Better to get there a little early just to get set up and stuff. You go through the front gate and tell them you are racing in the Harley series. they will ask you what class you want to race: Novice for first timers ($20 i think), Trophy.....if you win you get a trophy ($30 to enter), and Money - if you win you get some payout ($35 to enter). I believe it $15 to spectate. As you enter the track, the Hals guys have a trailer set up near the start line where all the H-D's congregate....thats where you sign up and register. If your new to the drag scene, they will also give you a tutorial at the trailer (with practice lights and everything!). As long as your not doing sub 11 second times, you can get away with a riding jacket, helmet, and gloves. I would suggest a clear shield to see the lights better.

I'm going to try and be there by 6:00pm....sometimes its a bit hit and miss due to work. Hope to see you guys (and Gals) there!

MikeJ...Yep, glad you are here to keep us mere mortals honest. It is the southwest corner. Looks like neither Dyna or I can read a map.

I usually just wait until I get someplace, then lay the map down on the ground at the entrance to orient or orientate myself. (I sure hope nobody saw me doing that the other night down at the Mile.) ;)
