CJ, I like your style! Bomber/Roger, riding backwards isn't so bad...its the horizontle/upside down stuff that I have problems with! what you can't see in the picture is the picnic table with three women on it gaining on me at an alarming rate. Very distracting. | ||

Oh yea guys, I forgot to mention....went drag racing for the first time in eons last night at Union Grove on my Lightning. Had an absolute Blast!!!!!! (although it was a little chilly.....). This was the Midwest Harley-Davidson series sponsored by Ukes, Hals, etc and is held every other Wednesday night. they have 3 classes (Novice - $20 to enter, Trophy - $30 to enter, and Money - $35 to enter). I forgot how much fun drag racing is, especially on a Buell. the also have a class for anyone that has never been to a drag strip before. Would be great to have a Ukes Brag Drag one of these Wednesdays, or challenge the brew sissies brag group for best reaction time/closest to dial in contest! Maybe an idea to discuss at the next meeting (which i can actually attend for once!). I want to see CJ and Grape scorch the 1/4 mile on those Blasts.... WFO | ||

CJ, you might be surprised! I bet the blast would run high 15's - low 16's or so....probably be close to a surprizing number of street cars. you should try it! plus for bracket racing, it doesn't really matter how fast you are, just how consistent and how good your reaction times are. Women in general have better reaction times than guys so you already have an advantage on us... Dana, Best ET i got out of my S1 was an 11:65 @116mph. The bike was exactly as i ran it at my last road race....didn't even change the gas! Traction was incredible...pretty much had to do the old clutch slip all through 1st gear. I had it geared really tall from Daytona so I was only getting into 3rd gear through the traps. It was great for bracket racing as i only had to shift twice and the bike was consistent, But I think I'm going to try and gear it short next time and see what it is capable of. | ||

I'll be happily (not) training in Joliet this afternoon. So no Joe fo tonight. Got a new job on the line too. Three interviews so far. (guess they like me) It's 9-5 just like mine but IN THE SAME LOCATION EVERY DAY !!! If I say my prayers I just may have the "no travelin for work" life I've always dreamed of... I spend more time in that Focus that I do in my Bed and that's just plain wrong. See y'all later, | ||

All right guys, mark your calendars! I've elected myself the official Drag Brag coordinator. Mark your calendars for next wednesday, Wednesday WEDNESDAY!!!!!! 6/4/03, the next round of the H-D Midwest bracket drag race series at Union Grove Drag Race-o-way! Its a great time, very laid back, and a lot of fun to try (and even fairly safe!). I would encourage everyone who has ever thought about it to give it a try! More details later....Sounded like Don and Jason were pretty close to going. I know Bomber, aka the silver bullet will be up for it! would be cool to have a good sized bunch down there! WFO | ||

I'd LOVE to drag the Duece . . . . never raced on a strip before, so it's good that they've got a beginner's group . . . . unfortunately, 4 June is the night of my daughter's graduation from High School (with honor's I might add . .. just a little crowing!), so I'll be beaming like an idiot and busting buttons donw here while you guys are destroying your tires . . . . . sounds like fun though, and I'd like to make it another time, if bussies will be there for moral support! | ||

Bomber, congrats on your Daughters graduation with honors! Your wife must have a hell of a strong gene pool (just kidding!). Thats awesome! Is she going to college? May I suggest The Ohio State University? The H-D drag race thing is actually held every other Wednesday throughout the summer, So I'm sure you will get a chance....maybe even Dana will get lucky and have a free night.
