Hey everyone...

I hope the trip to Iowa went well... would have loved to made the trip. I have been whining for quite some time about a second track at the Kansas Speedway... having no clue that there was such a cool track a couple of hours into Iowa.

Anyway... I do not know what if any Thursday plans will be... but assuming I do not have to work late (oops... I said the 'W' word... I prefer to leave work at work... and not think or discuss it... bad for my blood pressure :-( any way... RAMBLING!!!) I told my son (soon 14 years old and a Buell fan) I would pick him up and take him to KCIR to watch the drags... and hopefully meet some of the KC MOB. ... and see the variety of Buells you ride. We will be doing the 4 wheeled Honda thing... as he is as big as me... and no way would we both be able to Buell there. Though he will eventually do the Blast as a start... and even now is trying to talk me into passing the XB9S down!

Anyway... look for me if any of you make the stop... as usually I will be wearing Buell shirt and hat for those who have not yet met me.

"The new phone book is here... the new phone book is here... NOW, I AM SOMEBODY!!!!!"

Wait... wait... wait... that's not right!! ...my new race kit is in for my XB9S... I guess I am still a nobody... BUT... now I should be able to do 71 mph in those 70 mph zones... COOL!!!!!!!!!!!

I drop it off Wednesday night after work to set it up and do the TPS program calibration... THEN watch out... there won't be a moped or scooter that will ever embarrass me again!!! EAT MY DUST Vespa riders!!!

...and with the dual outlet race muffler... I too can make the ears of the people in cars next to me at traffic lights ring... and drown out their stereo!!! Last Thursday when I rode with you guys... I couldn't hear my engine while riding with you... maybe now I am somebody... annoying at traffic lights!

I still plan on driving to KCIR with my son... I will pick up my XB9S Friday evening after work or Saturday... then the Vespa riders better hide!!!

Dennis

Excellent, gravedigger! I "should" be able to get friday off...I have to confirm with the boss whenever he gets back from surgery :-/

What do you mobbers schedules look like? Do we need to set up an early group, and a late group??

Short recap : We had an AWESOME time at MAM! Sunday's racing was fast and furious. Man, those guys are fast!!
Jason, Sam, and myself camped out sunday night amidst the hells angels (no kidding) with the band "saucy jack" butchering up some cover songs in the distance.

Monday went quite well. Played from 9ish to around 4:30 with the rest of the squids...lots of people went down/ran off the track, but the ambulance never rolled out, so that was good.
Jason and Erika cruised up on the 9S to watch the action...thanks for coming up, you two! And the rest of ya's missed out on a fun weekend!!

I'm kicking around the idea of taking a trip to Arkansas in the near future. Thinking prolly June, maybe July...anyone wanna go along? I've tried rousing up the slabbers, but everyone seems to be hibernating in the St. Louis camp. Maybe we could go check out the Iron Horse stables place...basically a resort(?) catering to "motorcycle enthusiasts" :D:D:D

I'm happy to anounce that Mr. Bill has agreed to take over the Brag situation. The person that was in charge of it is too busy and pregnant to mess with it apparently. Let me know if you need anything to help you out, Bill.

We figured out what we need to do about T-shirts, and I've been bugging Brian at the shop to order some about every other day. He "should" be able to put an order in this week...gonna ask him about it again tomorrow. He's on our side, just busy like everyone else in this business at this time of year :D

Rocker box covers, PCV valves, and Viton (upgraded from early version) grommets are on their way, guys...

*sigh* ok, that's it, I'm out :D

Keith, I went for a little ride yesterday and besides getting a ticket (69 in a 45, reduced to a 64 in a 55). I noticed that I am close to knowing what my threads look like. I will have a new tire by this weekend but getting it changed is going to be tricky. I need to get rid of this rectal cranial inversion and get some time to get it replaced. I'll email you with a rough idea how tight a vacation schedule can be.
Ben

I just had to order a new rear tire myself. Hope it arrives in time or I may be in the same shape you are. Ordered it Monday so it should be here in time.

Sorry to hear about the ticket. I'll buy you a beer to make up for it when you get here!

Keith

p.s. I should have this tire available if anyone wants to put it on thier bike and burn it off at the rally!

Yeah that beer should get rid of the PREPARATION H taste too. I think if I said 'Thank you sir' one more time he would have shed a tear.
Ben
P.S. I think we will avoid that road when you ride up here, he had a really good spot, and I'm sure that he spends a lot of time there.

OK, Just confirmed new rear tire is supposed to be here Monday June 2nd. Who wants the old tire to burn off that weekend?????? If noone offers I guess I might just have to do it myself!

Frank, you think you can swap out a tire for Saturday night and put the original back on for someone before they leave Sunday morning????

Attention!

We will be moving the site to its own dedicated big bore server as well as implementing some significant BBS enhancements later this morning. The site will be offline starting between 8AM and 9AM. You may be able to continue to view the forum, but not post. If you are still getting the view-only forum by late afternoon, say 5PM, you might want to try refreshing your browser window and even shutting down and restarting your computer. If that doesn't work you might call your ISP, especially if it is a small local operation, and ask them to update their DNS (domain name server) files.

In the mean time I've asked the guys at SacBORG if they would be gracious enough to host a temporary surrogate BadWeB forum on their site. Just be forewarned that there are some very... uh... antagonistic Buell hating trolls there. Hopefully they'll leave well enough alone. If not, feel free to humiliate them with truth and grace. If you don't see a surrogate BadWeB topic there, assume it was not to be. I cannot imagine that since in truth, BadWeB is the Father of SacBORG, our illegitimate son. Kinda like the Darth/Luke scenario in reverse. LOL. Anyway, Chop and Eeeeek are great guys as are most of the others who hang there, so wish our sys-admin luck and I hope to see you back here tomorrow afternoon.

Blake
