I rode 2600 miles in the last week, the Dragon, Cherahola, BlueRidge Parkway, the usual.

Rode from Asheville home today, 550 miles in 7 hours.

550/7 = 78.57 mph without allowing for at least 2 stops for gas. My guess is you might have exceeded the posted speed limits at least once or twice? : )

I tried to hold it at 100, but the traffic was too heavy in most places. The fast lane on 95 was rolling, several cars passed me. Mostly 85-90.

I almost had to stop for gas again. The fuell light came on about 10 miles from home.

Of course, this is a fantasy scenario, it would be dangerous and irresponsible, not to say illegal, to actually do it.

I tested out my X-soft clutch yesterday and I really like it. My bike feels a bit more modern and less ancient. I'm sure the muller and the freespirits are just as good. I'd say it's one of the best mods I've done. It's amazing what a simple redesign of a stock component can do.

I did email LaFayette as I am out of state working on a new Job, So I will miss another ride. Both my children stayed at Give Kids the World as they both were granted wishes. In fact, I was "tucked in" by Mayor Clayton on my little girls wish as she got nervous and Mayor Clayton was trying to make her smile. So I really hate to miss this ride and thanks to all who support GKTW as it is a most wonderful place for children facing medical problems. Maybe soon I will make one of these rides. Larry Ezzell

Good morning guys,

Does anyone know of a good, reliable used beginner bike for sale? One of the managers at the Waterford Lakes store took the beginner riding course this past weekend and asked for my help in selecting a used bike. She liked the Blast she rode during the course and I'd love to see her on a Buell, but that's not totally necessary.
