Just name a time and I'll round up some riders.   Swampy Posted on Monday, July 23, 2007 - 08:31 pm:        I can't While we were camping in Indiana my wife had a stroke Friday night just before midnight. It was in her cerabellum, directly above her obdula oblengota. She had vertigo really bad, puked up breakfast lunch and dinner, then she had diareah that cleared out the previous two days food. The first ER doctor missed it and treated the symptom not the cause. The second trip to the ER on Saturday(for the headache that would not go away), the doctor ordered a CAT scan and they found the stroke. She was transferred to South Bend and thats where I will be for probably the next week, but if I get out in time, I'll be there....LOL She has not lost any function, but there is lots of swelling in the brain and being in the cerabellum, it is close to the drains that control the pressure in the brain so it is just making it all that more difficult. The swelling in the brain makes her sleep all the time but as long as she is woken up every hour and she knows where she is and can move everything, she is OK. It has been interesting today as the swelling has affected her memory so she will mix up partial memories, like she needed to get our 17 year old sons address so he could read the letter under something that makes it big so he could read it. The son lives at home and her mother reads with a large stand mounted magnifying glass. But she has our address down pat. So I will be up all night with her for a few days until the swelling starts to go down.(the neurologist said "two sets of eyes are better than one" so I am taking that as a hint) She also has a horrible headache that will not go away but the pain goes up and down with her blood pressure. We always do a Sunday ride and it's usual already on folks schedule. If Saturday is better, I'm sure I can get up there to help....just no sure if the other riders will be available. I will be tearing the brakes off my truck and replacing rotors and pads, and it looks after my burnout at biker bobs, I willbe replacing my rear tire before any riding. It looks like I have a cord coming into view. Plus I have to help my sister move this weekend. It was even better to see nobody went "Bowling for Harleys". Thanx for sharing the pics and flix of Team Xtreeme. I've seen Teem Scooter Trash perform at Milan Dragway. Maybe it's because I'm partial to Buell, but I think Team Xtreem is a way better show. Great burn out Jugs!!! Hope to ride with you guys one of these days.   Swampy Posted on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 - 02:17 pm:        Well I have much better news today to report: Yesterday about noon Terry woke up while her brother and sister were here and stayed up for 2 hours! She was with it! then she took a little nap and had a little macaronni and cheese and chocolate milk for dinner. Then she took a little nap. We stayed up last night and watched TV and talked from 9-11, then I slept in untill 7:45! She ate some popcorn, and a chocolate Ho-Ho or something like that while watching TV. Today Terry had her daily CAT scan early and by the time I got to her room the head neurologist was finishing his report and said it looked like she has turned the corner! Today she was up playing Rummy with her sister Laurie and I. The physical terrorists were in and did an evaluation and got her up in a chair. Terry is still a little tired, try sleeping from Saturday to....whats today?...Wednesday! and still has a big sized headache, but its all good! She had half a personal pan pizza and chocolate milk for lunch, I hope she doesn't become a chocolate milkaholic. They are waiting for a bed to open in the 4th floor stroke unit again(I hope nobody remembers me up there) and she will be moved out of ICU. I have to mention that she really didn't start getting better until she started drinking a medicinal efforvessent elixir called Vernors, made in Detroit, by little elves that age the liquid in little oak barrels for 7 years. Most people in Indiana don't know about this, except the people that have migrated from Michigan. It took nearly two hours driving around this strange city to find some. Jugallo94, I have an Avon Vyper Stryke waiting for me to get home, I have to put it on the Little Kids bike, so If you are in the mood, hopefully next week I will be home and we can change both of them at once?   Peppwaves03 Posted on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 - 02:26 pm:        Thats awesome news Swampy!   Jugallo94 Posted on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 - 04:31 pm:        Thats great new swampy, although I cant afford a new set of tires till next month sometime. I dont have a paycheck coming until august 9, then I only get paid every two weeks, and the last weekend in august I will be going to st. louis for a wedding.
