Eric- Thanks so much for your help. Left to my own facilities, I probably would have wound up bashing something up. And thanks for visitng, Greg; about five minutes after you guys left my buddy showed up on his Duc. I took him down to the Industrial Park at the end of 99 for a couple of laps. All was going well, and then I found out the fuzz do patrol the park. I don't know how I escaped a ticket, but I did. Anything up for tomorrow?

I completely sucked today. I was running around taking care of all the stuff I needed before the rookie meeting and race, and I ended up missing both practices. I ran the rookie race stiff as hell and couldn't find my line to save my life. On the first lap I cut right through the grass on turns 11a and 12 and managed to get the worst lap times on the track. I only finished two laps during that race due to a red flag from someone highsiding in the bowl. The officials thought Danny ignored the red flag and meatballed him (actually, they called him over the PA since the race was already finished). Everything was streightened out.

Danny will be running Middleweight SuperSport today, and I will be running Thunderbike with him tomorrow. I will also enter Lightweight Superbike. Fortunatly I am already finished with registeration and tech, so I will have no trouble making it for practice.

My number is 205.

Are you gonna go all Hillbilly Motors on us and turbo it? That would be cool.

And where's the place you took it to have your suspension revalved? My friend with the Duc is looking for some improvement in that arena. That thing has really limited adjustability.

You guys know me all to well....I am so predictable...

I was unaware that my neighbor designs turbo kits for different vehicles and want's to do it to my bike. he saw the N20 bottles and came to speak with me the other day. He says a amall t-3 turbo will fit nicely on the side of the motor.hehehehe.

He has a monte carlo in his garage now w/ a 500cu.in. chevy crate motor, turbo charged w/ 8lbs. of boost. sounds mean as hell!!!...

G.M.D. Computrack is where I went for my suspension. He is right off the side stret from Rocky's Hardware on Pulaski Blvd. Pete is the man over there.

So at the end of the rookie race I getz called to the princible's offic along with three other riders. The race was red flaged, crash in 6(the bowl). As this crash in the bowl happened I and the others were exiting 3, hard on the gas up the hill tru 4 & 5. At the top of the hill the next flag station thats where we first saw the red flag. Any how we were all cleared, we did nothing wrong,we did the right thing, we passed the test.

No on to the fun stuff. I skipped work on friday. I got to the speedway around 11 fri morn set up camp(pit). I singned up for the afternoon practic. The rookie's only got to run 2 practic sessions, cause of time limits. Saturday I also got in the two morning pratic runs and then the rookie race. That gave me 5 good hard runs on the track headed into the supersport race. Green flag, go go go. I was dead last going into 1, I was second to last on lap two. The race was red flaged on lap two, and then restarted. Again I was dead last into 1 but I was 2nd to last exiting 3. Thats where I finshed next to last, 1 lap down. I did my best lap of the weekend during the race I dropped into the 1:35's. Fun it was.

Sunday dawns and I get in two more good morning warm up runs. After saturdays races were over I and a few experenced racers that I jest happen to know, did a track walk and went over proper lines, brake points and turn in's, thats what I worked on, getting ready for the dayz Thunderbike race. I started from the outside front row(4th). Thats where I finished, 4th in class, 17th overall. Best of all. I dropped my lap times way down into the 1:33's. What fun it was.

On the down side of the weekend, my suppercrap exaust can, gave up the ghost. The elbow cracked and split in three places. Its held togather with safty wire. Guess I gota jest get another can. Bike ain't going nowhere, till I do. Damb, did my new pirelli's take a beating. They did stick like glue though.

The back roads will probably be so boreing now.I maby hooked on adrenilin. You's guys gota try this stoff.

I was getting very frustrated on Sunday. First practice sucked all of the energy out of me. Second practice ended in a crash on the grass. I wasn't too badly banged up, and the bike didn't break anything. I reteched and waited for my race. All the while I was starting to realize that I jumped into racing a bit too early and needed more track time first.

During the thunderbike race, I got pushed wide on turn 3 by someone riding a 125GP bike. I wasn't feeling too comfortable out there and over cooked turn 11 and went off onto the grass. Fortunatly I remembered not to brake there and rolled back on the track. Right then I raised my hand and pitted in. That was the end of my day. I will be back for more next month, but I may just run the practice sessions and then leave.

Eric- first of all, you're a madman. Second of all, I've had this fantasy of throwing a turbo (or two) into my Xterra. I saw a frontier once with a twin turbo setup, dude said he could smoke a stock Camaro, and I've got the same engine as them so it can be done. But the question is "how much?"

Hey Eric.........

Was wondering if I could possibly borrow your saddlebags and tailbag this weekend????

I may be going with a friend to the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days in Lexington, Ohio this weekend. I have to see the Doc on Tuesday to discuss my knee and if I have to have surgery soon (like within a month) I am going to go. Let me know..........

Hey guys...I'm still alive...just a bad week - another family funeral, cookouts, excesive drinking 1 day and recovery the next with some moving tossed in for punishment (moved my sister from Lakeville to Lawrence).

Eric - the next couple of days look like good riding and I'm over my head burried in work so I won't be getting to the new wheels until Thursday night at best. I'll let you know when I get them off or if I cant and need help.

Scotty - glad to hear you got the truck all fixed up!

Gotta get to the grind but I'll be checking in...

A friend's impression of the MotoGP commentator's skills (or lack thereof) on Fox:

"Take a look closely, Bob. Notice there are only two wheels on each motorcycle. With only two wheels, the bike has, umm let's see...two less wheels than a car. That means that the motorcycles are approximately 50% less wheely."

Count me out. That's during my woman's mid-tour leave. I can just see how well that would go...

ME: "Welcome home from Baghdad, Honey. There's some leftovers in the fridge-- I'm going riding with the guys for the weekend."

HER: "I want a divorce."

Um, yeah, I'll catch y'all on the next go 'round.

Uh, yer right JP. I was thinking September 4 and/or 11 for some reason. Her leave starts on the 23rd of August. When I get to work, sometimes my brain kinda turns off. Amazing that I still have a job...

Sh!t, I hope I remember to pick her up at the airport...

I'm in.

OOOPS!!! I goofed...

I am NOT available the weekend of the 11th...Grandparants 60th Anniversary party...I'd be in DEEP if I missed that...not as deep as Scotty's potential divorce but still deeper than I'd like.

So...that leaves the weekend of August 4 as my only option...sorry guys...
