OK ALL YOU SECA MOTOGP fans.We (SCAB of SoCal)need a list of all those planning to attend and stay with us at the Loveshack overlooking the famous Corkscrew at Laguna.Even those whom have been coming since DAY 1.....We think we can accomadate all those planning on going right there at the campsite,but you gotta get on the list please!So far the only person to note is Sunny and Slaughter....(This means they get to be on the edge with a view of the track outside their Tent window!!!(or door))If you wan't the best view of the track,somewhere to park your bike,belongings,beer,food and A/C jump in now!!!  | ||

Andrew Scammon and I will be leaving SoCal on Thursday, July 19 to make the annual pilgrimage to Laguna Seca. We will be staying at the Travelodge in San Luis Obispo for a night of festivities on Thursday night. Last year was pretty good where the SLO Brewery showed "Faster" and held a raffle for cool stuff. We plan on bugging out of SLO relatively early on Friday so we can ride Nacimiento Road through the mountains down to Highway 1 south of Big Sur and then up to Laguna Seca. If anyone wants to ride up with us and/or party in SLO, then raise your hand. | ||

We're gonna be there - with tent and air mattress. Let us know if you will be needing anything done ahead of time. Might be pitting for Scott Jensen - now that he's racing Superstock, he's hitting the podium (Elkhart Lake/Road America 3rd) Fun stuff regardless! | ||

OK....for you Laguna first timers we'll be creatin' a map...Laguna is a little cornfusing to get around at first so print this out..(it will be in a seperate posting so its easier to print)... and once you find us the view you get from the Veranda will make everything much clearerer....(thats a word , isn't it?)    Top left of map is "Corkscrew View" ..thats us.If your inside the park you can walk across the foot bridge and follow it down the dip and as you come up the other side look to your right on the hill and you can't miss us!! i come from indiana each year to do laguna with my brother curt (firstbuell). although we don't camp, it is always nice to stop by to see you guys. the company is as good as the view !! (i also like the shade). see you in 2 weeks..................  | ||

By the way, we always stay in Paso Robles because SLO forces you to take the coastal route instead of the twisty backroads. Depending on when we get up there and checked in on Thursday, we'll see where we go for dinner. Sux working with other racing fans. We have 4 folks in our little group of 20 leaving on the same schedule! | ||

Hey Ebear, Are you going to be around this weekend? I'd like to drop off some camping gear for laguna. Also how do we go about getting are bikes into the camping area? Little over a week to go! Can't wait to head north again. | ||

Last year there was some discussion on places to stay ON THE WAY up to Laguna. Last year, we stayed in Paso Robles - great ride on the Hwy 58 and 166 back-roads run taking the scenic route in toward Laguna from the desert here - avoiding all that nasty straight road riding! Adelaide Inn was pretty nearly same price as the cheapie chains and is a really nice, mom-and-pop kind of independent place. Great folks, clean. www.adelaideinn.com/ We'll be staying there again this year. Because we're taking all the backroads into Laguna, we're going to again bypass San Luis Obispo (it's off our track) - but if we get there early, we might swing down to SLO and visit with all y'alls. Otherwise, we'll see you at Laguna Seca!! | ||

The ferry is scheduled to leave at 9PM this evening, with ME on it!!!!! Will unload at Pr Rupert, B.C., then ride down to Seaside Ca. Have a motel booked already, but do plan to stop by and say Hi this year. YEE HAAAH!!!!!! | ||

Fine print on the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca website ticket page says "Advance sales from this site and by phone from the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca ticket office ends Monday, July 16 at 4 pm." So, if anybody doesn't have a lead on getting an admission ticket, the deadline is ticking down. Also, I overbooked by one ticket because Jen is not sure of her work situation with a potential grocery strike looming. So, she will go to the races if there is a strike. But if there's no strike, she'll be working and not going, and I'll have one extra 3-day ticket available on Thursday. | ||
