I'd be more stoked about being the guy to bring his bike back from chicago. The only thing more fun than beating on bikes is beating on other peoples bikes. Ride on Friday (5/25) if anyones is down for it. |

wow, not much chatter on here lately. So, Are we on for a ride this weekend? Assuming yes, where are you planning to take us Nils? I wouldn't mind heading through Star Prarie, and east. But you know me. I'll be content anywhere. Any thoughts? |

I just found out that I have to work Saturday at our Open House. So who wants to lead. There is going to be free free free food here. It is going to be supplied by Dino's. So I want to see all of you here eating before the H.O.G. clean plate club. Nils |

Looking like rain. Who's still up for a ride. I don't feel an overwhelming need to lead; but can if no one else has a route/area in mind. Post up if you are planning to make it. I'm guessing, at this point, that we won't have a huge turn out. Any desire to meet up with some other riders, or do we want to keep this a buell event? I'm usually of the mentality "the more the merrier"; but it is kind of fun riding as a buell group. Input please. |

Invite who ever you want for the free lunch Saturday. I think it would be great if a bunch of sport bikes show up. Nils |

So who all is going to Homecoming from MN? I think I'm going to swing up from Chicago on Friday, maybe stay in Racine Friday night and go home Saturday after the races/happy hour. I'm traveling light this year so no camping, just a change of underwear! |

Surewin, What day? I was on 494 on Friday around 1:00 or so, I was on a blue S2. There was a large contingent of Patriot Guard Riders at the cemetary for a funeral. There may have been another Bueller in the bunch when they left. Brad |

No, brad, not you. It was a firebolt, that looked like Lou's, that was being ridden by a guy wearing a jacket, like Lou's. Were you participating with Guard, or just there about the same time? Ft. Snelling I assume? |

Yeah, that was me, Karl. Thought that might have been you I saw. Julie and I plan on going out on Wednesday and coming home on Monday. I'll probably ride, so we'll be taking lots of breaks. I'm too old to ride non-stop like Eric. Oh, and Eric, you're welcome to eat with us, we could even pick up a pound of bacon for you. Sorry I didn't make it to the last ride. It's hard to get myself up that early when I get home from working at the pub at about 03:00. Hopefully next time. |

I spotted a blue Firebolt on HWY 10 just outside of Sauk Rapids yesterday at 2:15pm... I was on my way home from Bemidji to Albert Lea. ~ 320 mile day with my wife on the back and fully loaded - including my fishing pole! Damn, it was hot... PS - Coldweather - I'll see you at Homecoming. We're riding over Thursday and going home Saturday. (Message edited by naustin on June 11, 2007) |

I need some input. I talked my wife into trying this http://dctc.brinkster.net/. We both will be first timers. What are we to expect. Any input would be great. Thanks Al |

The DCTC class is excellent! The first day they do a great job of leading you around and watching out for you so don't worry. And the biggest thing for the first time (they'll tell you this repeatedly) is don't push yourself and go too fast. It's best to start slow and work into it, rather than trying to go fast and getting bad habits right away. Wear good gear if you have it, or get some. Some people do this class in jeans and an open face helmet...but people do go down. When I was there I saw a 996 lay down into the first corner. It's a low speed course so not major damage but there is a reason they keep an ambulance trackside. Best wear leathers or textile clothes over jeans, even if it's hot. Good luck, have fun! Hope to see pictures if there's a photog there that day. |

Great, we both have joe rocket textile jacket/pants so we are covered there. When the first timers are on the track will all the others be out there too? I am a little worried about my wife getting nerves, insted of having fun and learning when advanced riders come blowing by. Al |

Eric, Julie's made reservations at the same park we were at last year. Stop on by and we'll make sure you get fed. I'm really looking forward to doing this again. We had an incredibly good time last year (except the ride from Appleton to the factory, with Eric running on fumes and nobody stopping...). Oh, and having to play chicken with a semi, or four. |

When is home coming? And does anyone know who has the red full plastic firebolt with a lighting back end? Also I saw a blue firebolt on co. 6 in Plymouth last week I was on my brothers white xb9r. |

Al: The gear sounds good. They run the class in groups of newbies, medium, and fast riders. You'll be out on the track with all the other first timers and a few instructors that ride around with you. They do a great job of taking it slow and guiding you through the turns on the proper lines. I was really impressed with their instruction, especially once I went to a real track day where they just throw you out with the sharks. Lou: Thanks for the offer! I'll have my GPS this year so I can go at my own pace (which may just be fast). I've only got two days and am staying down in Racine but maybe I'll get a chance to stop by the lake. I'll see you at the factory on Friday for lunch. Justin: Homecoming is July 6-8 in various parts of Eastern WI. It's free, just go to Buell.com to see the schedule and register. |

/\ That's my stomping ground...It's kind of nice to be able to ride to St. Paul H-D and walk home if I need to. I'm not an xb'er though. If you seen the loud Yellow X1 with flames, blue pipes and a matching yellow helmet busting around, that's me. I'm game to ride though. Pretty soon the bike will be airbrushed blue, silver, and black. |
