Hi. I live in Arden (south Asheville) and have been on a XB12R for 2 months. I had been on a Harley V-Rod, and then a VRSCR StreetRod. One curve on a Firebolt was all it took for me, I'm addicted. My favorite place is Deal's Gap, but I also ride alot on Hickory Nut Gap on hwy 74A in Fairview. Hope to meet some fellow Buell riders sometime.

Hello and welcome. We have another thread here in C3 from western NC'ers that just did a ride back a few weeks ago. I do not know if I will be able to pull it off, but I want to ride over to the Dragon in July. The month is filling up fast and I am still waiting on a part to get my Uly back up and going. I know I will be going in October too, plus riding to the mountains north of Winston-Salem several times this summer. I hope we can hook up on one of the trips.

If you look at C3 Adventure page you will see that we are planning a ride in Suches GA called Buelltoberfest. If I do not get to your neck of the woods before then, I will that weekend. The last two times I rode from Grifton to the Dragon then south to Suches. I plan to do it again for that ride.

Also keep an eye out for several other riders in you area. We have one rider out by Black Mountain and another in Pumkin Center. Jlnance lives in Raliegh but his mother lives in Asheville and he rides out that way often too. So several in and around your area.

Vince - welcome to Buells and C3! Look around and don't wait for an invitation to our adventures, just say you're coming and we'll see you then!

Most daily chatter happens on the main thread. You will find that we are spread through NC and have some honorary members in TN/VA/SC.

Vince,

I live in Candler and work in Asheville. I'll be riding on Sunday, not sure where yet. I'll be meeting a friend (Steve, & wife) from NJ who will fly down to Knoxville Friday, rent a Honda ST1300, stay Fri and Sat night in Blowing Rock, then return to Knoxville on Sunday. My wife Katie & I will meet them somewhere between Blowing Rock and Knoxville for a ride. Steve usually rides a Firebolt and we've done several track days together. I doubt he'll be burning up the pavement this weekend since the ST1300 is a 600+ lb bike with luggage and his wife on the back. Katie may ride w/me on the M2 or she may ride her Monster 620. Let us know if you want to join us.

Jim & Travis: Can you go on Sunday?

Vince, there's a lot better places to ride than the 2 gaps. Get in touch w/me.

Welcome Vince,

Sorry I missed you guys the other weekend but I'm back now! Nursing school starts on Mon but I have off on the weekends to ride. I've got to head over to Tilley's on Sat to put on a new rear tire and have my steeringhead adjusted but I'm game for whatever!

I'm gonna run on Hickory Nut 74-A for a while on Friday. I don't know what I'll be doing yet on Saturday.

Monday I went to Deal's Gap. Slayed that sucker 14 times. 4,452 curves in 154 miles. I would have kept going, but I had to go home some time.

New to the site, but purchased my 08 Ulysses from Tilly's on the 20th. Still easing it in around the Alexander, NC area... up near Weaverville. JB
