Hey Firebolt.. could we set something up to reset the tps? maybe sometime this week..eeerrrrrrrr Monday?

The "Buell Orchard" ride---------!

Sorry for the links instead of pics; BadWeb's got us on a 71k limit. If you want the hi-res, let me know & I'll email it. Also, no tracklog for this ride. Had to switch GPS software when we needed to nav to the orchard.
That was a blast. I bet you anything Mr. Buell is making some hard cider in his cellar, and if we shoot back out and ask real nice we may score a bottle... |

Mr. Buell has some good cider for sure, he must have some good taste also....check out who's bike he is sitting on, he must like the NEW GlASSES...
Great time today guys, had a fun day! I forgot to say that today is MY B-DAy!!!!
The wifey (ahem..ahemm..) "reminded me" before heading next door to the party I was to attend today....

WTF...Almost rear ended earlier today Going to see a friend...
Driving by the high school and stop to let a girl cross in the walkway and dont you know I hear that awful "scretch" sound in back of me...Quick look in the rear views and here I see something white coming in quick...rev it quick & dump the clutch (girl jumped back on sidewalk when scretching started) and jump 15' past the cross walk and stop.
I turn around and he is passing me on the left and stops..I am like WTF ...He yells to me I am driving to F'n Slow chucks me the finger and takes off.....Black Kid w/ Georgia plates..
 Yup You know it is on now...I follow him jestering Pull the "F" over...He don't but he is heading to the next intersection lights that I know are ALWAYS red,
Pull up to the driver and start letting him have a piece of my mind (gona knock them pretty gold teeth out)and he is yelling back...ERrrrrr SO I smash his side mirror off the door and shut the bike off,kick stand down and I am off the bike quick as sh!t...He shut right up and looked foreward didn't have a thing to say after that, I still had plenty..The light turned green and he takes off...
Man I am thinking.. can't believe I lost my cool over this...but then again yes I can..
I hope No cops come see me....But I also hope he got the point and maybe it will help some body else down the road sometime...
Guy That was 2 cars back must have seen it all as i was getting on my bike in the middle of the street and he pulled up and asked if I was okay and that he saw everything. Gave me his Buisiness card incase the guy called the cops he would back me as a witness...He was cool guy and said he was going to get out his car to help if the other guy did after seeing what was going down..told me that mirror was already broke and he would back me, he was a Gixxer rider, but still cool guy..
Man I was shaking when I got home for about and hour.....On the way home I pass the skid marks that are about 15' long...
Just glad I was not hit. Would have made for a bad day....Sorry just venting here some...
Ya know I would have been pissed off but let it slide if the jerk didn't pull up on me and say that...A simple waive to say sorry and I would have just shaked my head and drove off....WTF is the matter w/ some people????? |

ignorance...and to make matters worse,no sense of humility.So when confronted/w said ignorance feel the need to add insult.Which usually means a loss of car/body parts
excellent reflex action,too bad many of us wouldn't be as lucky.Glad you got away in time

Damn. I'm shaking just from reading that. You were riding too slow? YOU?! Whatev...
+1 on your reflexes. I don't think I would have had the presence of mind to punch it and get outta the way; I would have become the kid's hood ornament.
Believe it or don't, I think I'm going to sit this ride out. Actually, with all the riding lately and me being the housekeeper, this place is getting pretty bachelor-funky. But if you find yourselves up around Bellingham feel free to drop in. My coffee is 92 octane. |

Nate,i think you'll make it to work without being late.I hope...Eric,thanks for helping him.I rode his bike as far as 146 and it seemed fine to me.We'll probably see each other come thursday night. |

So I am thinking I may change the rear brake light out now. After my near rear ending yesterday I wounder if my rear lights were brighter It may have made a difference. Even this weekend I noticed How low gregs rear light was and how much better Scotty's was....Is that a stock light On that ULY?
So the hunt will be on to adapt/find a decent rear brake light for my bolt...
I still am amazed at the light out put that these HID's put out....
IF I Could Only Get Crusty's Approval...
Oh Yea...Jim is a cool dude in my kids eye's that would be Greg's old tire melted in the driveway..

I had it on good authority that,those Dunflops were no good on our Buells'.
You were right.I love the Pirellis'.Always have worn them on the 996 too.Should've known.Now those headlights,i'm not convinced on the brake light.But those headlights...hmmmmmmm |

A direct swap as in pull it out put it in...I doubt it.
A bracket would need to be made to hold them in place. would be a simple installation I am sure, that is once the mounting has been figured out.
The Pirelli Tires would be an excellent swap, and they are a direct swap also. Bike will loose all tendency to stand up in the corners when applying the brake... |
