Mike W., sure wish I could make the Bike Night, but I'll be in the truck most of Saturday bringing Jay and his stuff home for the summer. Maybe I'll see you next weekend? I will pick the bike up tommorow,it's ready. Hopefully, the problem has been solved. Time will tell. Later... |

I was working down in FL this week, decided to stop at the new Daytona HD/Buell on my way back. I was pleasantly surprised to find a dozen or so Buells on the sales floor along with a selection of apparel and accessories. I then spotted something across the showroom that made me promptly walk back out to my car to get my camera: This was the first XBRR I've seen in person. The bare carbon fiber is gorgeous. |

I took the Blast muffler to HPC yesterday. I got to meet Kay and Faye, the receptionist and shipping manager. Should be done next week. I got some of their literature. It's cool looking stuff.

I rode down to Angier today on I-40 to test some highway related mods I want to do to the bike. I pulled off at the hw 210 exit to take a more scenic way back. Some sort of BMW goes by and beeps at me. He has an ADV sticker on the bike so I follow him into a gas station. Once I see the bike from the side, I realize it isn't a BMW. It's a farkled Ulysses. I figure this has to be flynuly. And it is! We rode back up to US-1 together. I thought those were my secret roads, but he knew ever one of them. Nice to meet you Tim. |

Good meeting you as well Jim! What a hoot seeing a red Uly pull up to the light at 210 and knowing immediately it was a fellow rider. Wish I had more time to enjoy the ride today, it was perfect weather, but the kitchen pass had expired. You can find some good back roads to Michael's if you go strait instead of turning at US-1. Think I'm going to like the Storm's . |

Went to Michael's with Mark. We ended up talking to this guy on a dirt bike who wanted to ride with us. Went to Pittsboro for lunch but the place was gone. So then we went to "Locked & Loaded" in Garner and hung out there for a long time. It was cool. He and Mark both know a lot about engines, and I enjoy and learn by listening to them talk. It was cool. |

Spent my Sunday doing an 'assignment' for Court (NO, I wasn't doing his homework for him...) and now it's time to get caught up on badweb. Anyone else planning on going to Homecoming this year? I will be staying with my parents in East Troy (as always), but I look forward to showing anybody/everybody that shows up 'the lay of the land'. Spike - that XBRR with all exposed CF bodywork is TOTALLY AWESOME!!! If I would've been there, they would've had to mop up the floors after I left! 1313 (Message edited by 1313 on May 06, 2007) |

Well, I guess we actually better plan this weekend, seeing as how it will be here soon. 10:00 am Saturday at the Carthage Hardees again? You want to stay with me on Friday night Carlos? |

I think Carlos and Carlee are heading straight to Jim's Friday night. He's going to trailer the M2, as it's not up for a "journey" and we've only gotten 1 small box of parts from Stone Mountain. The remaining Uly parts that Appleton had in stock should start trickling in here this week. I'm hoping by the end of the month that the ordered parts will be here. Kristi |

Well, I have tires, so I can get started on prepping the M2 for the ride this weekend. The M2 has some small leaks that spread oil over time. I do not want to ride to and from Jim R. on the M2 and make it any worse. The bike runs strong but I just rather have the truck and trailer close by. So what is the plan? I guess we need to move it to C3jr ride section. |

No Jim - unfortunately, they aren't ready yet. I thought 3 weeks was enough time, but because of the season, they are busier than they were in Feb/Mar. Doesn't help that the week I was planning to order is when I fell and couldn't get around on my own for a few days. I will ship them when they are ready. Sorry, I just didn't know it would take so long this time. Kristi |

I realized today that my drivers license expires on Sunday. I went to the DMV and exchanged $46 for a new license. I almost didn't have enough cache. They explained that the price went up because you get to keep the license longer now. My last license was issued in 2004 when I got my motorcycle endorsement. I looked at the old one after I left the DMV and realized I'm wearing the same shirt in both pictures. Rebecca asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I told her clothes. |

Tim - I love my coated muffler. If you're not intimidated by the process of taking off the headers, get them done to. Glenn - Sounds like a great deal. Did you talk with Faye? |

Hey Pat - I really didn't do anything for this adventure. This one is on Rainey (U4euh). They had such a good time last year, I'm sure this year will be no different. Did I read that your parents lived near Fancy Gap VA? We're heading that way Memorial Day Weekend. My Daddy has a cabin off the Blue Ridge Parkway, so we're taking the children and the bike. We plan to meet up with Ferris Bueller and Denise. |
