You know Horse Power is over rated in my book.....

It Is the TORQUE that is the real number to look at.....

hehe...triple digits have nothing to do with it...nothing...nada..In my opinion, when we're in the twisties, running side to side, the Duc will be using HP vs. the Buells' torque,i mean,i'll be running along between 6 and 10000 RPM utilizing HP.The (our) Buells' will be using torque running between 4 and 6000 RPM.
Besides...the Duc IS A TWIN and also makes big torque...like 74 ft/lbs bone stock..

Hey!! nice to read 'ya Eric,i miss my long lost 'Bud...

Too bad, when under the influence,i got/get fuqued up minded, sorry 'bout Georgia,i just hope it wasn't ME that damaged the friendship..

sounds like a challenge... maybe NEBO against the NH boys...maybe you can set up a date...we can run brackets and the winning team gets bragging rights and a trophy ( made of junk buell parts).

WTF???? You all **d Up Again??? No Friendship lost here...
I been lurking here and there but there has not REALLY been Anything happening.

ALL This week I been busy with my vehicles, Had to replace my Booster pump/steering pump, sway bar end links, Rear brakes, and ALL the fluids in the Big Diesel. She needed some much needed TLC, and will be getting some new shocks & tires shortly. I neglect it all winter, too cold ya know!!!

The Durango Broke while I was fixing the diesel (figures) and I needed to install a new Front Caliper, I also Bled the whole system while in there, and may give it some New Shocks today while it is nice...I have them already maybe tomorrow???I need a break!

Got it all fixed (cages) early yesterday and so I tore the Buell down to see why it is clunking and not feeling like it should, I think it is my forks...well one of them, maybe a good time to replace the front isolator bushing/motor mount while it is down?

I went to GMD today but no one was there, Racing season is here, I've never taken forks apart "YET". but may do these. Not sure if it better to do it myself or let the pro's take it for checking?!?

I have all the tools, Just don't know what I be looking for....You got any experience w/ forks Greg?

I should just tear them down and see what is inside,I just love pulling stuff apart and seeing how they work.....

Depends how bored I get today I guess.....Maybe tomorrow instead......Busy day today....

Baseball for both the boys later today also, Two games to attend, one at 3pm and the other 7pm tonight.....Under The Lights!!!

I just love watching them Play Ball!...I am a one man cheering team for them....

TRying to get some yard work done also, So I don't need to do so much when the really good weather decides to set in.

Then I can ride with ya'll all the time...

Hey Scott....one word..BOOOORRIIINNN'!!!

What a waste of a great handling motorbike going in a straight line for a 1/4 mile

YA.... you got me hook, line, and sinker with your trolling.

I was in Laconia today,spent $10400 on Braketech carbon(lightweight) front rotors(1k ea.),BST carbon ultra lightweight wheels($3100),heads ported&polished/big cams(which they'll assemble),1036cc 12.5:1 comp.big bore kit(i'll assemble)

I don't ride spec. sheets,in fact, ask anyone here,"modification" is a foreign word to me.I very seldom go down this path.Scott come ride the twisties,if YOU can keep up.....hehe! 'Ya i know the shpiel about riding a spirited street pace...lamo

Okay Greg, I see how it is now..Ya call me out, yet you do not answer my questions

Sorry i didn't answer them earlier,i read them tho.. I think maybe you should loosen and firstly reset the fork trees and axle retighten,in case there was a little twist in the front end from the get-off.GMD could not have screwed them up,they're just too concientious there. The forks(if you DO have all the tools) are easy to work on.Just view your parts&service manuals and i'm sure you'll agree.I've done(with success) normal forks in the past on a FEW occasions(easy).I just do not have the "proper" tools to do the job/w ease. Want an extra set of eyes??? i'll bring my manuals, yours aren't THAT much diff. than mine.I'm going to my libary NOW and check 'em out.

Heck....if you get in trouble you can always THEN take them to Pete and say..

I'm fine,i was just worried when you haven't posted in daze....After all you ARE the resident Prez/ring leader...Good job with the Buell.com sign-up...congrats...

I have to state that I am f*ckin hammered!!!! I love Ireland!!!!!

That a boy!...I too have a FEW Manhattens in me......Yea Babby!!!!

Hey Greg....I did already take the front end apart "re seat" everything and "re-torque" everything. Same problem. (CLUNK NOISE)

I do not think Pete messed them up any as they were "SUPER SCHWEET" when I got them back. There was a HUGE difference in them while playing in GA. I want that feeling back....

Maybe I can just bring them to your house and have ya check the "Feel" of them and see what ya think. squish test? (Is this a good way to check them) Each one feels a little different, is that normal?...May have got one of them messed up on my get off.....may just be my imagination and me not knowing much on them...They may be fine?!

I am ordering a new Front isolator on monday since it is apart anyways.

I will have pete Take the rear shock also on monday, dropping it off for service, I hope to get it back quickly.

Hey, who would like to have NEBO pint glasses made? There is a laser engraver that does some stuff for the shop that could do these at a good price. He already has the Buell logo programed, and if we ever settle on a NEBO logo, we could have that done on the other side.

Personally I like ALL kinds of racing! I've attended many events like:
NASCAR (Daytona, Louden)
Indy cars
24 hr. of Daytona
Daytona 200
NHRA drag racing
IHRA drag racing
World of Outlaw sprint car racing
Champ cars (not the Indy type, the REAL champ cars!)
Gold Cup Hydroplane Racing
Usac and New England Style Midget cars
New England Modifieds
Dirt Modifieds
gokarts
I'm sure there are more and there certainly are more types of racing I would love to see live!
The point being why hate this kind of racing because you love that type of racing?
I would expect that from a typical Ducati rider but didn't expect it from you Greg!
If you don't change your mind - that's fine, many others here are interested. Maybe I'll meet you some time at F1 Boston and kick you a$$ in gokarts or is that to slow for your high standards?;)
There are a lot of Streetfighter races on Saturday this year. 3 in May! Who might be in for that? It is bracket racing - so it gives you a chance to (potentially) beat up on some japanese bikes.
Then of course there is the Wed. and Friday night street nights where you just run heads up for fun.
I won't be able to make it this Friday, but will most likely be there for Saturday.

I'll tell 'ya who....ME!! I consistently ran low 13s ...which i was unimpressed with but,I LOVE drag racing!

Ok Greg, I take it back, but tell me what you do plan to use your bike for? Putting yourself and others at extreme risk on the road, risking a what- 20 something thousand dollar bike at a place like Louden or posing?

On Wednesday nights and Friday nights they have "street night". Bring the right gear, go through inspection and go take as many laps as time and the number of vehicles that night allow!
They also run what they call "Streetfighters" on some Saturdays (like this one coming up). It is a bracket style race that takes a good deal of skill to win! When they have the Streetfighter races, they also have "Test and Tune" session, but if that is all you sign up for you will probably only get 4-5 runs...
Go to http://newenglanddragway.com
and click on the calendar and the rules for streetnight to find out more ...
I cannot go all the time, but will post here and in New Hampshire Thunder when I am going....Like this Saturday!
I will be happy to meet any of you anytime I can make it and show you the ropes. I am also looking to put something together where as many area Buellers as possible show up for an event! I live about 8 miles from the track and have some room here, or if we get a lot of interest - there is a campground very close to here....

Ok, while any of us can meet anytime, it would be fun to get several of us at the track at the same time. So give me a headcount if Wednesday nights, Friday nights or Saturdays are better for you. After that we'll try to pick one or more dates....
Also let me know if you would need a place to stay or be riding/driving home.

Putting yourself and others at extreme risk on the road,

They also accept the same risk....and we do it away from congestion.Scott...you're one of the last people i wish to "get into it" with...you're just too kind...peace brother. If 'ya want to debate, fine, but i do not wish to convey anger..

Not looking to "get into" it with you Greg and there is no anger here. That's one of the problems with the internet, you are not hearing the tone or looking at my face. I'm mostly busting on you since you called my preferred form of going fast "boring"! it is not my preferred because I think it is better than other forms of racing. It is preferred because it is;
close
cheap
relatively safe for me and my motorcycle
fun
making/meeting friends at the track
I like to look at the motorcycles and cars and girls.....
