Your right carb is leaking, now?!?

Look Michael, I'm really sorry I ever sold you that sorry piece of junk. Don't even try to start it again, I'd feel terrible if you disappeared in a fireball.

I'll be by tomorrow to take it off your hands for a modest disposal fee.

Don't thank me, I feel terrible about this. It's the least I can do.

Was an absolutely beautiful day indeed! I'm glad you had a nice day. Myself, my lovely wife and the shostaks almost made it to Belfountain yesterday. We prolly would have ran into you, but we all got lazy!

The season is only starting, I'm sure much riding and foul to come

Whats up for this weekend? Mike tells me you guys might head to cayuuuuuuuuga? If not, we should plan another ride...

Have a great week.

Thanks for the great ride last weekend Kahuna. On Sunday I did some fabulous roads before and after Creemore. This weekend off to Vermont.

So many roads and I'm going to ride every one of them.

Another great day of riding! MikeS & myself ventured on a much awaited "ultimate tour" that includes all the nicest roads of this fine province! Loads of fun, but have to admit, slightly ambitous too, was starting to feel the pain by the 600km mark. All in all, just over 700km door-to-door. Now I know a saddle sore 1600 is NOT for me

We departed early with Southwood-13 as our first destination - still by far one of the the nicest roads here. Then a stop in Bala for a quick breakfast @ Bee Jays, and on to Mortimers Point Rd, Port Carling, and then a scenic stroll across Hwy-118 into Halliburton. Elephant Lake next, followed by a run on Peterson Rd. into Maynooth and back. Our finale was left for Hwy-507 and then long way home!

We arrive at Bee Jays in Bala.

heya brett,

i'd heard mobil-1 15-50 was soon to be unavailable. something about it cutting in on their mobil-1 20-50 "v-twin" oil sales.

is the amsoil 20-50 synthetic?

ciao, lorenzo

lornce-the amsoil is full synth but $10 a litre. may be better than mobil 1 as no friction modifiers which can cause clutch slip if used in primary. also read somewhere in badweb(might have been a link) where they recommend synth diesel oil (shell rotella-t) ???

Hey K, nice pics. 600kms on an S1 is pretty hard core! Sorta like 1000kms on a bike with a seat!

Brett, things looking good for next weekend's Moose Dodge. Think I'm going to suggest to Paul that an 08:30 meeting for breakfast Friday morning at Hockley's General Store (few kms east of Airport Road on Hockley Valley Road) might be a nice way to begin the weekend.

It'll be good to see/ride with you again!

ciao,
Lorenzo

Sorry Brett, I don't have much experience with virgins of any description.

Think I'm going for breakfast in Hockley on Friday morning and riding up from there along as many backroads as possible. If folks want to join in, that'd be great. If folks have other route plans, that's cool too and I'll see everyone at the Wolfden.

This'll be the first real ride since my concussion on Aug 2nd, and I'm planning to take it nice and slow and easy.

Have a great ride Kareem, and if you make it to Mount Tremblant say "hi" to Leah and the Mikes for me.

best,
Lawrence

Moose Dodging went pretty well: We didn't hit even one of em!

You'd think after 90k kms on her GS, Carol would have some of the more basic ergonomic issues resolved....

Ever vigilant Moose Dodgers getting a little twitchy: Relax, those ain't moose...

Marvelous view to marvel at the marvel of Algonquin's marvelous Spruce Bog...

This bike will never dodge moose like a Buell... Despite appearances, it drags heavily and early with pegs, stands and crash guards all throwing showers of sparks long before the tires cry uncle... Too bad.

Harrumph.... 24hr Roadside Assistance plan, my butt. Carol's reluctant R1200GS gives up the ghost.... and yet another headlight bulb.

Thanks K.
Balanced the throttle bodies the other day and now it's a schweet, schmooth ride. Still needs some suspension to keep it up off the deck on roads like #13 and #518. The airhead GS/PD would have spanked it handily in that territory. Maybe some Ohlins are in order over the winter?

Lornce-you still have our Fri.Sat. routes in your encyclopedic motorcycle memory ? I'm having trouble remembering some of the sections, and I want to highlight them in my mapbook for future use...13 and 518 were great, as was that section in Renfrew. I want to get back there soon !

Great weekend, great company,
