Back home at 8:00, what an eventful drive home. And what another great MB event. Got some pics that some of you are dying to see involving a:
BRA
A C3 Sign
Stuffed Lady Figure
and an unnamed person who took sleeping meds!!!!!!!!
More to come later!!!1

Got home just after 9:00 PM, got everything offloaded, and are settled back in. Had a great time, but that goes without saying.

A little 'Badness post script:

Kristi left us in charge of depositing the bag of empty beer bottles in a nearby recycling bin on 60. Well, we either missed it or it wasn't where Kristi thought it was.

Anyway, Buelletta and I decided to leave said bag-o-bottles on the trailer and take them home with us and leave it for the trash in the morning and thought nothing more about it.

We get to about Richmond Kentucky and the Jeep's tank was going dry so we peel off and roll into a Chevron to top off. We hop out to discover beer bottles all over the deck of the trailer! The bag had worn open from the wind and expanded steel floor.

I start pumping gas and 'Letta goes about picking up the beer bottles. I look across the way to see a couple of blue hairs looking at us with a fair amount of disgust. Also looking on were a couple of good 'ol boys kinda shaking their heads and snickering.

We finished throwing several dozen beer bottles and paid for the gas just as a deputy idles in and we beat it before there were any questions asked.

Laughed about it for thirty minutes.

BTW: Is anyone missing a bra?

Well you might think that badness and Ditches were all the fun had by C3 this weekend, and that is just not true.

We Hit maxton with a Blast ready to run, and run we did!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpplXFhHWms
Nothing earthshattering, but hit a 93.9, pretty much out of gear, but we have been assured that head, cams, and raising the rev limiter will get us to the 110 range, then we have to figure out how to re-gear it cause 117 is the record int he class. Then it is on to the other class records.

She makes my tire look good. : )

People gear Ulys down by putting the XB9 primary chain sprocket in. I wonder if you could gear a Blast up by putting in an XB12 primary chain sprocket?

We are home!! Brankin is back on his S2 and heading to New Bern. He should be home just after midnight.

Carlos is fine. A little sore from climbing down after the bag that decided to tumble further down the embankment than the Uly did. The Uly will get a face lift and be back on the road soon. Until then, I guess the M2 will get some miles that it missed last year.

I'll reserve C3 Central for MBV! Mark your calendars for the last weekend of March 2008.

Kristi,
I wanted to thank you for all your help with the demo rides too. Your help was very much appreciated. And I'll tell you what, if you want to convert to a 3%er, we'll pay you twice what the C3's are giving you!! Oh and the cookies got gone. There were evil hate beams headed your way for those! Glad everyone found their way home, more or less in one piece.

Kdan - no problem. Buelletta and I had a great time. The 3% ladies are great to hang out with. I knew I'd get the evil beams about the cookies either way! If I'd taken them back with me, it would have been no different! We are talking about a C3/3%er W3 (warm weather weekend)! Maybe you and Bambi can make it out for that adventure. Looking forward to seeing the slide show from this year.

Charlie & Sam - you're very welcome! I love shopping for baby goodies. It was nice spending time with the 3%er's again. I think it was Mrs. Glitch that merged it all together with "C3%er's".....might have to get Glitch to work on that decal! Take care and keep us posted.

Hi dudes, I got home about an hour ago; I put about 800 miles on the Uly this weekend.

I really enjoyed hanging out with all of you. Thanks a LOT for having me along. Sorry I didn't get to let say goodbye to most of you in person on Sunday. I hoped to hang around TWO until most of you showed up but the weather was steadily getting worse so I headed out about 10 AM.

I took the long way back on Sunday; I was in rain most of the way. I went from Suches up 180 to 129 then east on 180 and eventually to Clayton, GA. I took Warwoman Road (nice road, and GREAT twisties near the eastern end) east out of Clayton to highway 28. Took a left on 28 and went north past the NC line to a nice overlook at Lower Satulah Falls. Turned around and headed back towards SC on 28. Took backroads from Wallhalla, SC to Simpsonville, SC, got a hotel and crashed for the night. Got up this morning and took back roads most of the way back home to Summerville, SC. I'll post some ride pics when I get a chance to download them.

BTW, the Scorpion Sync tires stick great in the rain. Highway 28 is serious twisties all the way from Highlands, NC down into GA and on into SC. SC is near-new pavement and the NC section was repaved just last summer. The GA section unfortunately looks to be about 20 years old with tar strips all over. The bike felt a little skittish when I'd get in a hard curve and I finally figured out the tires were slipping on the tar strips and then regaining traction when they'd hit regular pavement. I found that this phenomena helps keep the old sphincter in shape.

I'm already looking forward to the next meet.

Hey folks, On my way outta Dodge Sunday I stopped in Morganton to get fuel. Mikethebike was there doing same. After putting on his serious rain gear we said see-ya and off he didn't go. Long story short: two kids with dirtbikes in the back of their truck helped us locate his blown FI relay. I sacrificed the accessory relay from My Uly and Mikethebike was headed homeward. I stopped off in Blairsville at the Autozone and held hope against hope. The extremely helpful fellow behind the counter said he'd be onto a Firebolt before too long and showed me the myriad of boxed relays behind the counter. He started at the top left and I began at the lower right looking for the match. First box I opened was a 5 prong exact match. Now the Buell coding on the stock relay is asinine; it means next to nothing. How much? $14 and heated grips are back in order!

Good meeting the few of you that I did, we'll have to arrange something across the state line here soon. NUTS

Jason, good to see you again after our mud ride. Those "bastiches" as Jerry said. Glad you were able, and there to help mikethebike get on his way. After two hours on the road yesterday, Pat was watching me like a hawk. Once I start fidgeting in the seat, it's all over with. She knows me like a book. MIKE!!! your eyes are starting to droop! So after fighting the sleep, I finally pulled off I-40 and got a red bull energy drink. It worked right away. I'm off this week for vacation. Workplace made it this week instead of the usual July 4th, but what the hay? Hugh...glad you got home safe and made the most of the weekend. It was truly a pleasure to meet another Ascot owner after all these years. Glenn, I hate to put it like this, but does your tranny have any hope? Missed you and Nance both. Hopefully next year. Later...
